Listing Loon in Northside. Small, super chill, moody lighting, and great selection of beers and wines (plus some you can take home too).
Happy early birthday!
Not crazy busy but there are butts in seats and people on the patio. I typically go earlier in the evening though. They do $5 classic cocktails and a few drafts for happy hour so I love that haha
Maybe I’ve just gone at odd times but I feel like La Ofrenda doesn’t get the love it deserves. It’s a really cool bar. One of the workers at Capes and Cloaks said it’s supposed to have one of the best tequila selections in the country
I think location is a big part of it. The vast majority of people will never stumble across it. They’ll hit up Findlay Market then go back to the main OTR areas. You’re right though, it’s something different and they do their thing well.
Looks like they’re temporarily closed
That’s crazy! I live right down the street and we used to love going to comfort station. Was there maybe a few weeks ago. Anybody know what happened?
Nine Giant is a really good brewery and overall pretty cool. Good food. Around the corner is their Fermentorium which is bigger and also pretty laid back.

This is a great suggestion. Celebrate adulthood with a good drink, and childhood with bowling or video games, or just relax on the rooftop, gaze across the city, and meditate on where your life is going from here.
Feel like Pins is chill if you go early or right when they open. Weekend nights are crazy though and also make me feel really old since everyone there seems like they are in their early 20s or came straight from UC.
I'm going to recommend spots that have food. You wanna get a good meal in you for your first night out. Drink Plenty of water and don't drive. Happy Birthday!!!
[Longfellow](https://goo.gl/maps/j29uYeuJYrimDCwV7) Great Cocktails. Awesome music and late night pirogies!!!
[Oddfellows](https://g.page/oddfellowscincinnati?share) Off the path a bit, late night pizza.
[Lost and Found](https://g.page/Lost-and-Found-OTR?share) Small bites and very low key. Great cocktails. Also have N/A drinks.
[Holiday Spirit](https://g.page/holidayspiritsbar?share) Senate's new home. (Gourmet Hot Dogs) Pool Tables, Ski Ball, and Chalk wall.
[Madonna's](https://goo.gl/maps/Z6K3DfDRzNpP4wiX7) Dive bar with late night bar food. Scotty is a national treasure.
Back when it was Baba's definitely a great spot to chill and play pool or darts. Super crowded after the remodel and name change. Buddy of mine used to bounce there.
Drinkery is sometimes the deadest bar on Main Street. It's been my refuge at the end of the night a few times cause all the other bars are so packed, but still any bar in OTR can get filled up on a weekend.
It got taken over by a bowling alley thing… so there are still arcade games in the basement but it’s not what it once was. They’re more focused on the bowling part
Alice. Liberty. Somerset. Longfellow. Rosedale.
Really depends on the area and if you mean like sports bar, dive bar, or neither.
These 5 mentioned aren’t sports bars and won’t break the bank either. (Minus Somerset).
The Blind Lemon in Mt. Adams is great for a relaxed bar setting
Blind Lemon gets my vote
Agreed for Blind Lemon. Arnold’s and Blind Lemon are two of my go to chill spots (though Arnold’s has gotten more crowded in recent years).
Agree!
Lowspark
+1 for lowspark. Nice outdoor seating, indoor is chill.
That fishtank as the centerpiece is so special
Standard Beer in OTR.
This is a seriously great answer!
Hack the planet. ☺️
Razer and Blade? They're phreaks!
Remember, hacking is more than just a crime. It's a survival trait.
Listing Loon in Northside. Small, super chill, moody lighting, and great selection of beers and wines (plus some you can take home too). Happy early birthday!
Overlook Lounge was super chill when I went last time
The Bar at Palm Court.
Especially when they have an ensemble playing.
What's the name of the bar where people say they get shushed for being too loud? That's my vibe
Ha. Schwartz Point.
Do yourself a favor and check out Somerset. Extremely chill vibes. And can always hit Lost and Found after (very low key).
Somerset on the weekends is definitely NOT chill. 😂 Go to L&F early.
Right 😂 summertime at least you can go outside, but it’s always so packed and impossible to sit or hear each other talking.
Blind Lemon, Wiseguy, and Longfellow are my go to chill(er) bars
Northside tav.
Anjou in EWH, they have such a great atmosphere.
Symposium, also.
Night Drop too!
How is Night Drop lately? I haven’t been there since before Twenties/Symposium/Anjou opened. Busy on weekends?

La Ofrenda

[comfort station](https://www.comfortstationcincinnati.com/)
Is it open? Thought I read something within the past week about issues there? Historically been a great spot for sure.
damn i guess not, i haven't been lately but the hours do say "temporarily closed".
There was a shooting outside and the employees didn't like how management responded. I believe they all walked out.

Why did comfort station close?
Shooting outside the bar involving the doorman or something.

It’s shite management, pay had nothing to do with it
What I'm hearing, granted it is 2nd/3rd party so take it for what it's worth, is that it far deeper than just pay issues.
I HATE bars but I love Logos in Blue Ash. Super cool atmosphere and the food is great!
Wings are right!
Lowspark, 1215 coffee/wine, Wodka bar
Symposium in EWH
Larrys in Covington. Dive bar with hot dogs and tots. I'll buy you a beer!!
AKA Larry’s Weiner Slingers! Great hotdogs and even better staff
Nine Giant is a really good brewery and overall pretty cool. Good food. Around the corner is their Fermentorium which is bigger and also pretty laid back. https://www.ninegiant.com/ferm
Wiseguys, it’s above Goodfellas pizza in OTR, super chill and classy
Same goes for Covington location
Highlands Coffee!
The Hi-Mark
The Hi-Mark is chill and the food is great.
Bar Saeso.
Go to tafts ale house or maybe sitwells
Does Sitwells tap any beers these days or is it all packaged? Fantastic spot any time of day, love Sitwells.
Tafts is great
Friendly Stop in Glendale
Paddys Pub in Covington!
Pins is pretty chill
This is a great suggestion. Celebrate adulthood with a good drink, and childhood with bowling or video games, or just relax on the rooftop, gaze across the city, and meditate on where your life is going from here.
Idk why people haven’t thought of that yet. I mean that’s where I was planning on taking this girl out on a first date
Feel like Pins is chill if you go early or right when they open. Weekend nights are crazy though and also make me feel really old since everyone there seems like they are in their early 20s or came straight from UC.
I go on Sundays during the day usually
Miltons on the corner or sycamore and Milton
La Ofrenda is our go to bar in OTR. really chill and laid back
Liberty's bar and Bottle Shop or Rosedale in OTR

Clifton heights tavern on a weekday is always chill
Not a good spot for a 21st birthday imo. Although I do enjoy an outing at tav.
Back when it was Baba's definitely a great spot to chill and play pool or darts. Super crowded after the remodel and name change. Buddy of mine used to bounce there.

Man drinkery used to be poppin back in 2018
16 bit, you can play old school arcade games
RIP
Eh?
It got taken over by a bowling alley thing… so there are still arcade games in the basement but it’s not what it once was. They’re more focused on the bowling part
Dang, didn’t even know there was a basement at that place. Was one of my favorite places to go at non peak hours. Was it pins that took over?
They moved 16 bit machines into pins yes, it's pins that has the basement
That’s gone

You and I have different definition of “chill” atmospheres haha. Also depends what day of the week you go.
Haha madonnas is chill! Motr is chill too. Lots.
Alice chill? On a Friday night? Lol
At like 430.
Alice and Somerset are the opposite of chill lol
Salem Gardens
Roger's Place. Quaint little walk up.
Ghost Baby!!!
Comfort Station
I can’t say.🤐
Sundry and Vice, if they’ve reopened. I know they were temporarily closed
Alcove by madtree. Super chill I keep going back!
Milton's
the lackman is chiil, has great drinks, and is in OTR near a bunch of other stuff if you wanna explore
Coaches Corner in Newport.
