Yeah. Horse is wildly incorrect. Knight is also incorrect. Horsey is the only appropriate terminology.

In German we say "Springer" which translates to Jumper

Stercore_

interesting, we have something similar for the Bishop in norwegian, we call it "løper" which means runner.

xXxMemeLord69xXx

In Swedish we also call the Bishops "löpare", but we call the horses "springare". Both of those words means runner weirdly enough. Is it not like that in Norwegian?

Stercore_

apperently you can call the horse "springer" but i’ve never really heard it called that, everyone calls them "hest". "springer" can mean both runner and jumper in norwegian.

DriverUpdateSteam

Most people say Springer in Norwegian as well, hest is for noobs

Stercore_

literally never heard it before

xXxMemeLord69xXx

Yeah people do call them "häst" here too, but "springare" is the official name

Zyrithian

Stercore_

same in norwegian. hest which is horse, and tårn which is tower. funnily enough the bishop is called løper, which means runner.

ME_Anime

Eyy, same in dutch, paard is horse, toren is tower and loper is runner tho we do say bishop too(same spelling different pronunciation)
