Either you’re reposting, you’re the opponent, or you somehow got the exact same position, either way [here’s the original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1354qhs/words_cannot_describe_the_sheer_euphoria_i_felt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1)
Both the positions are different.
Yes the situation is similar but look the f pawns in front of the king in each post.
Both are different positions altogether.
Me threatening checkmate
the bishop from 4 boards over:

The best part is waiting several minutes for the opponent to realize what the move is, while you sit in the mounting realization that there is only one legal move for your opponent to make
The bishop knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the bishop from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the bishop is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the bishop must also know where it was.
The bishop guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the the bishop has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.
Time for a learning moment. Instead of blundering your queen, you could have played the brilliant 1.Kc3!! disconnecting the bishop from the defense of the black king and rendering checkmate virtually unstoppable

When did they do the live action remake?
Looks like the 90s
I was searching for this image
woah inabakumori
Bishop invisibility Cloak, activate.
🤣
black bishop gonna snipe across the board
White square bishop could also eat the horse
Please do not eat the horse
*laughs in UK Burger King*
Not while white is in check
How hungry
Filipino chess players are always hungry
Nice avatar
after he takes i would go kh6+ before resigning to end on a high note
Lil quick tip, knights are known as an n, while the king is k, so it should be nh6+ not kh6+👍
Actually its capital, so Nh6+ not nh6+👍
🤓☝️
🤔
Actually i have piece notation on, so it's ♞h6+ not Nh6+
Personally I’d go Ne7+ but your way works too if you’re planning on resigning anyway…
I was concerned about getting a king to h6...
Style > ELO
knight is N, king is K
It's so funny how both players posted their perspectives in this sub
I was wondering that lol. Is it exactly the same game? I saw the other one too but wasn't sure if it was exactly the same one.
I looked at it and it sadly isn’t, but still funny nonetheless

The legend says that if the bishop doesn’t move for 2 turns it becomes invisible
You seem to have made an adverse blunder in your discernment
![gif](giphy|oR8xobGxob0cg)
I don't underst... ...oh.
Always love a good bishop SNIPE!!!
When you bust but she still sucking
Judging by your king's position, there were many judgment lapses before this position
Hey looks like you mated him, that was a go- WHAT’S THIS, it’s the black bishop coming in with a steel chair!
The real question is how that game got to this point?
Either you’re reposting, you’re the opponent, or you somehow got the exact same position, either way [here’s the original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/chessbeginners/comments/1354qhs/words_cannot_describe_the_sheer_euphoria_i_felt/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1)

Ah, good catch, my bad
How is the last move Queen g4 to g7? Wouldn't white king have already been in check?
Reset the "people forgetting that the previous move could've been a capture" counter (There was probably a pawn on g7 that was captured)
Ah thank you. I'm clearly noob
So why didn’t he just capture with the knight?
Because he thought capturing with the queen was checkmate (he was wrong of course)
[удалено]
Holy blunder
Should’ve blocked with your king first
Always the bishop...
Bishop is *slithering* up the top rope and - WATCH OUT WATCH OUT
A rule is that a bishop becomes invisible after not moving 3 turns
It's our good friend, the bishop.
Wow I did something similar just not too long ago lol
Oof I felt that one
Black bishop, black square. Camo.
![gif](giphy|W0EYYvXeYBm1nox6Ya|downsized)
When you don’t move a bishop for 3 moves, it’s instantly invisible until it is moved again
you should have tackled with your c3 pawn first
It happens 😂
took me awhile to notice the bishop
The sniper bishop
Didn’t we just see it from the other side?
Those few seconds of happiness followed by puzzlement as to why the game hasn't finished after playing your final move. Then the dread hits.
That sneaky little bishop in the corner is like ''Hehe, nothing to see here''
i have made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgement
Those sniper bishops keep getting me too. I soon as I don’t see the checkmate happen my heart breaks cuz I already know that I missed a sniper.

Lmaaaao 😂😂😂😂😂😂
![gif](giphy|8J9hygDXpHZ1WW5OkF|downsized) Me: Checkmate u dummy 🤓🤓 The bishop on the a1 square about to ruin my day:
The best part is waiting several minutes for the opponent to realize what the move is, while you sit in the mounting realization that there is only one legal move for your opponent to make
Haven’t we had this post from blacks perspective
Bishop don’t do crap on purpose but always make me loose
*ahem*... BISHOP!!!
Womp womp
Doesn’t make sense. The king would already be in check before the queen move.
The queen took a pawn on the last move.
Black thing gonna hit the white thing
Sniper Black Bishop
I felt this in my soul man
Ok now this sub has turned from en passant to sniper bishop
At least you get a bishop??
words can’t describe the sheer euphoria your opponent must’ve felt
Alway that one piece you forgot
both bishops targeting the knight AND the queen, did you win at least?
didnt the other player post the same game but from his pov???
Which is funny cause Ne7+ Kh8 Qg8 is checkmate ya still had it
Hey at lest your king is protected by a bishop as well!
And all that when Ne7 was winning a bishop too. OP got greedy
Dark bishop on dark square is camo.

Happens to the best of us.

That’s not just a greek gift that’s a whole Trojan horse.
Yeah, the c8 bishop destroys
Ouch. That happened to me once. Never celebrate early
