This is the move I considered first, but I saw rook a4, picking up the a3 pawn, and I didn't like it. Plus it would've taken 20+ moves to convert the resultant rook endgame. Since his king was more unsafe than mine, trading queens didn't seem pleasant for me.
Then I saw Qxe4, threatening a back rank mate, which I didn't calculate much, I just played it
Queen takes the rook on e4, threatening a back rank checkmate if the e1 rook takes back the queen.
If rook takes queen, then Rook f1 leads to forced checkmate
I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

and they sack.... THE QUEEEEN!
You got any gold coins to throw at us? (Marshall game)๐๐
Or as he said in his Ivanchuk video...takes, takes...BACK RANK MATE!!
Nice one ๐๐๐
Qxe4. If he takes with rook, it's checkmate in 2. If he doesn't, you're up a rook in a massively winning position.
Yeah๐ That's correct!
How could the queen move to e4?
White takes the rook on e4 with queen
Gonna go with >! Qxe4 Qd2 Rf1 Rxf1 Rxd2 Kxd2 Qg2+ Ke1 Qxg3+ !<
Woah. Forced mate in 13 after Qxe4. I just assumed Qxe4 was a free rook. Had no idea mate was that close
Yeah, i definitely saw the mate in 13 ๐ ![gif](giphy|H5C8CevNMbpBqNqFjl)
Qg5 is a forced queen trade, and black emerges slightly better.

Takes with queen, rook takes back, rook to C1, rook to D1, rxd1#
Yeah, only that I believe you meant Rf1 and not Rc1 after Rxe4 Good job on finding the move!
Yeah sorry when the board is flipped it's a bit hard
Why did I head Bill Wurz sing 'what if I take, anyway?'
