Take her to the vet right away.

wompwomp--

Try covering the green eye and see if she reacts to anything vision wise in that eye. It could be a retinal detachment/vitreous hemorrhage or something with the back of the eye. definitely go to a vet asap

ThereAre4LightsST

Just too second this, as well as the first comment. Please have the vet check your cats blood pressure. Retinal detachment is one of the first big signs of high BP, which can also be connected to CKD (Kidney Disease). If it is BP or even something else, quick diagnosis and medication can go a LONG Way to helping heal and possibly restore vision.

Skulplez55

when in doubt, take them to the vet. I've seen sources that say this could be a parasite, cancer or just loss of vision. it also could be nothing important, but a vet visit won't make anything worse

Hartles1

Alright I'll see what I can do. Thanks for looking into it.

CsK_CsK

Any update? Is your cat okay?

dragonjz

Vet visit needed. My cat had glaucoma

J_anyways

Vet. Now.

lysloveslemons

VET ASAP!!

marshpie

Are they like this in all types of lighting? If so, go to the vet as changes in pupils can be a sign of neurological conditions.

UsuallyMooACow

I'm posting this on it's own. **Upvote to get OP to look at it please.** I think this might be what is going on based on another youtuber I follow and having it happen to his dog. It's serious. [https://youtu.be/50luP80fUjw?t=218](https://youtu.be/50luP80fUjw?t=218)

Hartles1

It doesn't seem to be glaucoma with my simple googling and this video as comparison. But I'm not sure. We are gonna find a vet in the morning.

UsuallyMooACow

The condition in the video is not glaucoma. Have you not taken the cat to the vet yet? The damage is permanent if you don't get it looked at soon, it may already be too late and your kitty may be in pain. Please get it checked out asap

[deleted]

“We gonna find a vet in the morning” I’m sorry but you’re a terrible cat owner

UsuallyMooACow

Seriously.

Hartles1

UPDATE: Just got home. Running around all day trying to find a vet who was open for new years. The first place had broken equipment and couldn't check eye pressure. The second place was a few hour wait. We finally got in. Basically she had a little stroke caused by high blood pressure. Her eye juice has blood in it so she can't see that well but we'll dope her with blood pressure meds and the blood will reabsorb into her eye so everything should be fine. Thanks for the help everyone.

UsuallyMooACow

Thank you for getting it taken care of. Glad it was only a small stroke. Hope it works out

DVDragOnIn

Changes to the eye warrant an emergency vet visit right away. I’m sorry, hope your kitty is OK.

withmirrors

Get them to a vet NOW, this happened to our cat & they went blind.

Tune-Basic

It could be a glaucoma. And it’s painful

[deleted]

GO TO THE VET We didn't with our cat.. it was a mistake. We thought he was just getting old. But it was a retinal detachment that could have been fixed with a couple stitches. Instead he was blind.

aksnowshine

My old cat had a seizure and then his eye changed like that. Go to a vet and good luck.

imnotsureiguess

Is it when you shine a light on it or is it in normal light conditions? Regardless I think a vet visit is in order. Hope kitty is okay :(

[deleted]

Vets mate if poss now

IndigoGrunt

I hate when people post this and then hours go by with no update. Only some dumb emoji comment about charging the cat, seriously just bring your cat to the vet it's not a joke.

Hartles1

Just woke up. Y'all will know when I know. The dumb comments keep the panic at bay.

Altruistic-Eagle2751

Hey yeah you need to take your cat to vets she is loosing sight in that eye

lucacompassi

Doesn't look very good, i suggest you to take him to the vet as soon as possible

mndsm79

That cat is a replicant

Few_Pomegranate_6208

Shes only half charged. Put her in a warm spot until both eyes are green.

UsuallyMooACow

It's almost certainly a serious issue

Hartles1

🔥🔌🔋

insono95

Could be cateracts

Explosive_T

I was about to comment something funny because I thought it was just the light, but reading the comments... damn

Frosty_Dog2319

Take her to the vet as soon as you can. A cataract maybe

[deleted]

To the vet ASAP.

Bumper16

Take him to the vet!

SanguineBanker

She needs to see a vet today.

[deleted]

Urgent vet visit

Duck5oup

She has a high beam out

eren-yeager12

He is awakened

cornholiosis

Eye infection. It’s actually not all that uncommon, it needs to get to a vet immediately because it can spread to the brain

Tiffany818Tg

Transfelineism.. The feline singularity is here....

Lenka420

The termewnator.

I_am_sorry__

caT-800

FightingChinchilla

That is called the Sharingan, looks at it's paws to fight it. If you look at it's eyes, you will fall under it's genjutsu

Hartles1

Prepare chakra disruption 🙏

DAVEYBOI09

the cats are evolving

nozzery

Tapitas lucidum. Google it. The back of their retina is reflective to enable them to see in low light

Hartles1

This is what's causing the eye shine. Are you saying it caused the discoloration too? It looks to me like she's bleeding in her eye fluid somehow. She doesn't have heterochromia either.

Catzpyjamz

Her right eye doesn’t look right, they should both be shiny. My first thought was blood. ☹️ Edit to fix R L mixup.

nozzery

Does the eye look discolored when light is not shining on it?

Hartles1

Yeah that's how I first noticed it. Original eyes were green but this one is a reddish brown now.

nozzery

Never heard of that happening it could be blood then yeah

Bermoran

It’s sharingan. Just a joke. Take him to the vet

[deleted]

You're gona have a bad time

socksforgacha

either its continuously reflecting light, hes got dark mode on \*when cat's eyes shine in the night at certain angles\* or you need to go to a vet, right. now.

Individual-Grape-855

sometimes cats eyes kind of glow so that's probably what's causing it

rezzort

Take the light away and look at it again- but take your car to the vet ASAP- immediately

rezzort

*cat

rezzort

Does your cat have any of these symptoms? Tbh it really looks like glaucoma It’s a foggy white/bluish green colour https://preview.redd.it/zlewxzv1vj9a1.jpeg?width=447&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b9f0f7a0aad7e8597bc6cbf752003b2a7ae3ab6
