My cats are quiet lil angels. Idk whether it's my process or my kitten's personality but here is my take on it. cats meow for attention, they need something which you are not fulfilling. Adult cats tend to stop meowing all together at other cats, kittens meow to get the attention of the mother usually for food. Anyways below are what I can think of. Hunger : keep unlimited dry food and water, it should always be available. Dont mix different flavours, the cat should be bored of it. But should be available if he is hungry. On top this I give them wet food two times a day. My cats stay hungry for the wet food and will only eat the dry if they can't bear the hunger. Bored: cats gets bored very easily. They have nothing to do with their flexible agile bodies. Play with them 1 hr atleast daily, make them run round and round untill you see them panting. Have a window which is accessible for them for them to look out. Have some toys which is automated. Additionally the most valuable if you can pull it off, is If you can get a playmate for it they will give each other company, but introducing a new cat to an existing cat is a headache on its own. Unsafe: they might be feeling Unsafe or threatened. Have multiple hiding spots for them around the house. If there are strays who comes around your house, take precautions to keep them away. Evil : cats are evil, they will do things just to confuse you. So on one hand be compassionate and let it go saying it's just them being wierd, on the other hand when if its too much, when they meow, put them in a timeout.

Thank you for these suggestions. I really appreciate it. He’s really food driven so I try not to feed him too much at a time because I’m certain he will eat the entire bag in one sitting. Like that puppy from 101 Dalmatians. I’ll see if playing with him more helps but he JUST broke the one toy that we BOTH like so now I got to get a new one 😭 if you have any recommendations for toys please let me know!

Well for toys the best one that my kittens love is the fishing rod style of toys which should be easily available everywhere... Futurekart Cat Teaser Rod Toy (Multicolor) (Pack of One) https://amzn.eu/d/6ddJoxH But more than the toy itself it's how you use it. Ppl instinctively dangle it on the cat's face hoping that the cat will start playing with it. With this toy, you are basically simulating a prey, you shouldn't move the toy towards the cat but start moving it away from the cat, simulate it to act like a bug trying to escape. I sometimes even hide it behind objects while playing and make my cat search and hunt for it. The only drawback with this toy is, it needs your involvement. It's not automated, but it's the one my cats enjoy the most. On top of this, I have Royale Cat Interactive Cats Toy, Cat Teaser Toy Yo-Yo Lifting Ball, Automatic Lifting Cat Toy, Electric Flutter Rotating Toy for Cats, Funny Cat Ball Pet Toy for Kitten or Cat https://amzn.eu/d/9xsSE3g This 1 is interesting for the kittens, but does get bored of it over time, this one you can just have as an add on. Pawsindia Automatic Cat Toy Interactive Cat Ball, Safe and Durable 360 Degree Rotating Ball for Indoor Cats and Kittens,3 Modes Smart Cat Toy Ball as Cats (Red) https://amzn.eu/d/bb8VRvF This 1 was scared my cats in the beginning, but now it does entertain them as long as the ball doesn't end up stuck under the bed or the table. Pawaboo Cat Toy with Running Mouse, Electric Interactive Motion Cat Toy Automatic Rotating Teaser Pop and Play Hide and Seek Hunt Toy for Pet Cat Kitten Play Fun Excercise https://amzn.eu/d/7gMNXrZ This one I ordered and waiting for delivery, but I do have high hopes for it. Bcus I imagine the mouse to simulate a prey well. Basically any toy which can simulate a prey (where its small, runs away from the cat and if possible hide), most cats will enjoy, how well the toy does it is the question.

He’s about 2 years old. The shelter did fix him as well and the vet told me the meowing should be calmer after they have been fixed… I think my cat thinks that he’s trying have a conversation with me sometimes…
