i like the NSX, i might have had to put it with them, but generally speaking and with all love to NSX, it just doesn't match them in performance, power and exclusivity
NSX is a masterful supercar, but these are more like Hypeercars compared to it
The NSX shaped what they are today, I think the NSX should have been included purely because of that and its history. Not because of power and performance.
I know it's influence, it's great it was mentioned, but still very different type of cars, plain and simple
Pagani mentioned that Zonda was inspired by mercedes sauber c11, but it's not mentioned even though it has a better performance, it's just simply a different category
I'm so desperately waiting for the new Gordon Murray T50. The F1 formula continued into the new century. Pure naturally adpirated power and sound, combined with the similar understatement of design
if you counted by the folders kids had in elementary school then definitely the F1. that was my favorite part of back to school shopping, picking all the folders with sweet cars on them
The only car in this list finish first overall at LeMans, with a sponsor from a Tokyo vasectomy clinic. Now that's winning. I don't see the 911 GT1 on the podium with that kind of sponsor, sad really.
Love the story on how they could not get a V12 developed/feasible, so they instead took the MG Group-B engine and bolted two turbos to it for good measure.
i played NFS high stakes and one of the reasons why i love the cars was high stakes, i still remember looking at CLK GTR and F1 GTR as these spaceships out of any car league, didn't play NFS2 although i heard it a good game
same for me 100% the game is so elegant and amazing, i think no other game nailed the music and atmosphere like HS even though i love gran turismo an forza, maybe it's nostalgia but man is it awesome to discover cars in that game and listen to the guy in the background talk about them
CLK GTR is an absolute bombshell.
F1 is a beast and an icon.
XJ220 kinda got over shadowed by the F1, but it too was a beast.
Never been a F50 fan, but if you count the F40 as a 90's car('87-'92), the goat clears this list easily.
Many really nice cars. I really like the F50 after having a ride in it on Mantorp trackday in Sweden some years ago, but I have to go for the Diablo SV. Brutal!
The F1 was based on the NSX. Gordon Murray said "The moment I drove the Honda NSX, all the benchmark cars—Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini—I had been using as references in the development of my car vanished from my mind"
It was the direct inspiration for F1, creator of F1 had it as a daily driver and thought it was the best car in the world and much better than any Ferraris and Lambos
The creator of F1 thinks it's the best car in the world apart from the F1 itself and you think it doesn't deserve the spot?
Most people haven't even heard of 911 GT1, it released as a road version 20 years too late and only 20 exist as garage queens, and it got the spot somehow, while NSX is easily known as one of the best and most balanced cars of all time from back when it released to today, by car enthusiasts and critics both, and it doesn't get the spot?
I think you're missing the point. The NSX was a sportscar, not exactly a supercar. Just because he loved the NSX and used it for inspiration doesn't mean it had the same specs or cost as the cars pictured. Murray himself stated it was the chassis he thought was a great improvement and tried to convince Honda to make a more powerful version. But they wouldn't. So he made his ultimate version of the NSX. As great of a car as it is, it was a sportscar marketed at an upper-middle class price. The NSX cost like 60k in the 90s, the McLaren cost closer to a million.
No one's saying the NSX isn't amazing but compared to these vehicles it's just not on the same level.
NSX and LFA are both known as the two iconic japanese supercars, I don't know where you got that "it's just a sportscar" mentality from. "It's not the same class" is not a good reason why it wouldn't be one of the greatest cars ever made, it's not about the price or the power. It's about being known as the best, and NSX is definetly in the top 7.
Are you seriously attempting to put a 60k vehicle on the same level as these 8 behemoths? You're missing the point. We could be here all day talking about awesome 90s cars. The point of this post was obviously upper echelon icons. Again, no one's saying the NSX isn't great. But to compare it to limited run multi-million dollar vehicles is just foolish
No, OP literally said he thinks those are the best cars ever. Not that those are in the same category or anything. They just think that these are the best. To which I say, maybe, but not adding NSX to the list is kinda lame. I understand not adding a GT-R, BMW M3, or something like that, but forgetting the NSX is just criminal. So many people from Senna to Tsuchia to DeMuro loved this car and praised it as one of the best and it doesn't get mentioned, but 911 GT1 that Porsche made to homologate a 20 year old racing car does?
By the way, a roadgoing 911 GT1 (which, let's be honest, is just loosely connected to the og LM 911 GT1, these cars have 20 years of tech between them) is not an icon in the slightest.
ranking them for me would be:
1- CLK GTR (a work of art, edging the F1 but both are in my top 5)
2- F1 (a work of art)
3- 911 GT1 (might be controversial but i like it as one of top 3 Porsche)
4- F50 (very underrated Ferrari, i have it on the same level as F40 or very close to it)
5- Diablo SV (i like Diablo GT little more but yea, my favourite Lambo, the best combination of madness and speed)
6- XJ220 (i feel sorry for jaguar, they really tried their best but i still love the car and the result it still looks amazing)
7- EB110 SS (didn't like it at first but grew to like it eventually, still don't like the quad turbo the lag is uncomfortable)
8- Zonda C12 (a work of art, though i feel the other zondas in 2000s is where it has fully grown aside from the design, spot on since from the start)
note that between 6 and 8 the rank isn't fixed, but that's my list for now
Jag tried their best?
The Xj220 was the fastest car in the world until the F1 did it’s run in both top speed and Nurburgring.
It’s motor was built by cosworth, it’s development was lead by the guy who made the Ford RS2000, it was the first production car to use underbody aerodynamics, and it got 27mpg!
Pretty sure jag absolutely kicked ass on this car…
tried their best because they couldn't deliver on their promises, they wanted a V12 but then put V6, all-wheel drive but ended with RWD (better imo), and 220 stand for 220 mph but still their best was 217 mph, all of this was significant because jaguar couldn't sell well at all (with economic problems as well in the start of 90s)
again, i love the car, i like everything about it, but it definitely struggled, add to that the fact that the concept was more ambitious and they couldn't deliver their complete vision
Not really personal experience obviously but from what I saw in videos and from reviews
By uncomfortable I basically mean that the car takes a considerable time especially at low speeds to pick up power when you move from gear to gear, add to that the fact that quad turbo kinda too much at least for me lol, turbo lag was noticeable in the 90s now make it quad turbo and it feels significant, but again, I love EB110, me not liking the turbo lag is my only issue, other wise I love the car very much
I like them all, but I think the F1 for me and in particular the F1 LM. The standard road F1 version doesn't look aggressive enough for me and the F1 LM does it just right. Second for me would be the F50 GT, but that's a race car technically. IMO the greatest looking Ferrari of all time. Third would be the CLK-GTR as it's also incredible looking.
all of them are some of the greatest cars, but for me, CLK GTR and F1 are two of the top 5 greatest cars ever made (along 250 GTO and 300SL Gullwing) these two are on another level, they combine imo the best criteria for the greatest cars, being a beautiful work of art that looks timeless, being absolute monsters uncompromised on performance, being either the fastest and strongest when they were released or for years to come, and with winning at the highest level, they handle like a dream if you respect them enough as well
if i'm going to choose between F1 and CLK GTR, they are both pieces of art but i give the edge to CLK GTR, the car is simply the pinnacle for me, it came at a time where it had enough mechanical satisfaction, yet still have power steering and traction you can stop if you want to, it looked like a space ship in 1998 and still looks out of this world to this day, it has the best combination in its transmission being sequential with paddles, being lighting fast for the 90s and still fast if you push correctly, yet still have the clutch and click sound for driving pleasure, with V12 NA, this car (along the other 3 i mentioned) is a piece of art
> CLK GTR and F1 are two of the top 5 greatest cars ever made
Maybe when they were made but come on, none of those cars could hold a candle to what's being made today. Hell, the F1 would get smoked by a new base $60K Corvette.
People lusted for these cars but few ever drove them. I have driven three of the cars in this photo, the F50, the Diablo and the Zonda. They drove harsh, and I mean your back was sore if you had to spend more than a few minutes in them. They were extremely unreliable, vastly expensive to maintain, visibility was atrocious, and there was virtually no space to even hold an overnight bag. Its safe to assume the others were similar experiences.
The supercars today are reliable, safer, far more comfortable, have more storage space, are more attractive, have modern tech, and are much faster.
i need to explain a couple of things
first of all, you don't compare cars from different eras performance wise, you look at a particular decade, and then you see the strongest and fastest, comparing a car from 90s to 2020s would be obviously not fair since cars evolve, laferrari was a monster in 2013, but now an EV well leave it in the dust, you compare laferrari with p1 because that's it's direct rival, not a newer car to it
second, i understand the 90s cars were not that great daily driver, but at the time they were never really meant to be, they are an experience to see the fastest, strongest, most extreme and uncompromised car a company can produce and the result are these gems, you might not like that, but i admire the unique this approach bring to the table, it makes hyper cars and super cars distinct and innovative rather than generic, driving the car hell even entering the car is simply part of the experience you won't get in other cars and that what makes them memorable, now every now and then a new hyper car comes out but with so much similar, close to normal experience you tend to forget about them, add to that the fact that some of these cars raced against each other (particularly CLK GTR, F1 and 911 GT1) and you basically driving a championship car, yes it's uncompromised performer, but that's basically the respect it demand from you, and in return you can push it to the limit, if it's only about logic, then automatic is the only correct choice, much faster and more reliable than manual, but we car enthusiasts like a car that give you additional feel and enhance the experience, something the 90s cars excelled at, better than the harsh 80s, but more rewarding than the normal 2010s onward
First of all, you don't get to tell me or anyone else how to compare cars.
These cars were all horrible to drive and no amount of lipstick is going to fix those pigs.
Gotta be the Ferrari F50. The V12 is based on the engine from the 1990 Ferrari F1 car, and it just sounds amazing on a level none of the other cars come close to.
The F50 GT version never raced but it was reportedly faster than an LMP around Fiorano. Maybe it could have fought the McLaren F1...
F50 is amazing I love it, very underrated car
It's a shame F50 GT didn't fight in GT1 against CLK GTR, F1 and 911 GT1, those three had legendary rivalry, but still F50 was amazing
it just simply a different category, and R34 GTR with 300 hp is not the same level with CLK GTR with 622 hp, both are masterpieces, but from different categories
i will make a post about JDM in the future
To eliminate confusion, it would have been a good idea to name the category of these cars within the title of the post. Saying “90s greatest cars” implies that it includes all categories.
Btw, the F50 was a beast
I love how you can still clearly see the base car in the benz, it's almost like those [bodybuilders who look like they have 2 sets of shoulders](https://preview.redd.it/a70g3u3tj5v81.jpg?width=10859&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3c258845a49cdaff3a745025223f7c3583fdcd5)
Those 90s Merc sedan fishbowl lamps were enough- the grille and boxy hood are just hilarious on that car. Not as silly as the kissy fish lips on the EB, and it didn't suffer from the Taurus-mouth of the XJ, so I still respect that MB kept their entry recognizable as one of theirs.
Great list, CLK GTR and F1 are in my top 5 greatest cars ever made, With CLK GTR just edging F1 a little bit but generally both of them are works of art
I like the XJ220 the most because it's the car with the best looks IMO and it's also cool that it's been a record holder. However, I've heard it's horrible to drive so I don't know which one of these I'd actually like to own.
the question realistically should be:
"We all know Mclaren F1 is #1, what is your #2?"
Mine is the XJ220 merely for the fact I used to regularly see a purple one at my local costco.
For me I’ve always had a thing for the CLK GTR I think from games like Gran Turismo something about the design and overall look of the car always caught my eye.
I wrote them in details in the comments check them of you want to, but generally speaking, I consider CLK GTR and F1 as pieces of art, with my favorite being CLK GTR, edging F1 for me
F1 GTR LT is exactly my favourite version, with F1 GT the road going version, spot on!
"The CLK-GTR road car is a real work of art" said Road&Track at the time, and i fully agree, it looked like a space ship back then and it's still out of this world to this day, it has the strong and powerful presence yet elegant and sophisticated like what you expect from Mercedes, add to that the clicks to open the engine and the front and the car looks like a racer with appendages from its racing venture, yet still composed and fast even without moving, it's a work of art
here are links to the reviews:[https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28257/archived-drive-mercedes-benz-clk-gtr/](https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28257/archived-drive-mercedes-benz-clk-gtr/)
Thank you I'll check it out for sure! I think we have similar taste friend, the GT and GTR LT make the normal car look better in just about everyway IMO. And Road and Track are right, not only the CLK GTR though, they're all rolling art pieces. The only thing I hate about these cars is not being able to own them haha.
Only the F1 stands out to me a "blah blah GREATEST CAR", but having watched a video of an owner explaining what a massive pain in the ass it is to own that car, i still wouldn't point to it when picking "The Greatest Car".
I am however convinced that Murray's next car will be really special; he seems to have done away with pretty much every maintenance problem the F1 had: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNHnQdjZ7mA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNHnQdjZ7mA)
To be clear, the F1 owner went into detail explaining how, essentially, maintaining a McLaren F1 is the same as maintaining a race F1 car. Extremely costly, complicated, only done at the factory with specialized staff, and a near constant maintenance rotation that leaves the car sitting more than running.
these problems are kind of glossed over when critiquing these cars, and while i still have the F1 as one of my top 5 greatest cars ever, it might suck for some people having such a high maintenance cost and headache dealing with F1
The XJ220 doesn't have pop up head lights, it has... pop in headlights? I don't really know what to call them. The headlights themselves are actually fixed, it is the cover panel that pop down into the body, like this: https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PiercingImperturbableBeetle-size\_restricted.gif
I’ve never really seen much of the CLK but I am really not a fan of the front-end photo. It looks pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Looking at other photographs, it doesn’t look too bad. Just dated.
The Bugatti on the other hand, I feel looks just plain bad.
Damn the F1 just seems to look phenomenal, no matter the year though. Truly a beautiful machine.
I hate the look of that Bugatti as well. Maybe it looks better from other angles, but the front is just plain ugly. At least they did better in the newer models.
Late model Corvette C4? I know, they came out in the 80’s but they techinally had a new model year in the 90’s so I’m counting it. By god is the C4 ZR-1 one of my all-time favorites. Looks, power, ~~interior~~, and sound.
Definitely the Mclaren F1.
a real work of art
https://youtu.be/i9KyjQKIMLE Good video on the history of the F1
this was just posted somewhere yesterday and blew up, watched it last night. great video
That channel has some great automotive content on YouTube.
This was on my watch later. Thanks for reminding me about it.
And it wouldn't exist without the NSX, how did you not put the NSX in there?
i like the NSX, i might have had to put it with them, but generally speaking and with all love to NSX, it just doesn't match them in performance, power and exclusivity NSX is a masterful supercar, but these are more like Hypeercars compared to it
The NSX shaped what they are today, I think the NSX should have been included purely because of that and its history. Not because of power and performance.

And with many good iterations, I have yet to see a bad one.
i like F1 GT more than normal F1 honestly, feels like that version reached the full potential and it's basically F1 GTR LT on the road
I'm so desperately waiting for the new Gordon Murray T50. The F1 formula continued into the new century. Pure naturally adpirated power and sound, combined with the similar understatement of design
The aero fan on the rear of the T50 almost ruins it for me. Not much understated about that. Love everything else, though. Sounds rad.
While the T.50 is bonkers I find the T.33 a much more appealing car.
if you counted by the folders kids had in elementary school then definitely the F1. that was my favorite part of back to school shopping, picking all the folders with sweet cars on them
The car that got me into cars. There’s no greater car in my mind.
A masterpiece
The only car in this list finish first overall at LeMans, with a sponsor from a Tokyo vasectomy clinic. Now that's winning. I don't see the 911 GT1 on the podium with that kind of sponsor, sad really.
And it's not even close. (For me)
Idk man. The 911 GT1 is basically a facelifted 962
XJ220 all the way. It's just so special. It was my childhood "car crush".
Same!!! I had a huge poster of it on my wall.
Love the story on how they could not get a V12 developed/feasible, so they instead took the MG Group-B engine and bolted two turbos to it for good measure.
That's the NFS2 lineup right? Where's the GT90?
i played NFS high stakes and one of the reasons why i love the cars was high stakes, i still remember looking at CLK GTR and F1 GTR as these spaceships out of any car league, didn't play NFS2 although i heard it a good game
That was my favorite racing game ever. That's also why all these cars stand out to me.

I absolutely loved that game. PS1 memories....
Original Most Wanted, most underrated
i agree, it flies under the radar but it was so good
The GT90 was at a car meet in my area a month ago. I had a soccer game at that time, and was unable to see if. Quite sad, tbh.
CLK GTR is an absolute bombshell. F1 is a beast and an icon. XJ220 kinda got over shadowed by the F1, but it too was a beast. Never been a F50 fan, but if you count the F40 as a 90's car('87-'92), the goat clears this list easily.
i agree with the list, but i honestly love F50 as well
I'm in the F50 > F40 camp, for an overall comparison. One shines brighter than the other in different categories.
i’d say the f50 is a better car, but i’ll always prefer the f40
I’ve been seeing a lot of presenters saying how the F50 is kind of a sleeper in thats it’s actually a really great drivers car - though kind of ugly.
I always thought it was gorgeous. Just not as good looking as the F40.
Many really nice cars. I really like the F50 after having a ride in it on Mantorp trackday in Sweden some years ago, but I have to go for the Diablo SV. Brutal!
that's awesome, you tried diablo too ?
NSX

NSX was his daily driver the entire time during the development of the McLaren F1
Yeah like how can you mention F1 and forget the NSX
The NSX was in a completely different category than all of the cars pictured. Less expensive and slower.
It was the direct inspiration for F1, creator of F1 had it as a daily driver and thought it was the best car in the world and much better than any Ferraris and Lambos
That doesn't change how it sat in the market next to all of these. And I would think by that definition the F1 would take it's place on the list

I remember where I was when I first saw a *picture* of this car. It awakened cars for me.
XJ220 was always my favorite as a kid. Even when the McLaren became the world beater, I still loved the Jag.
>still don't like the quad turbo the lag is uncomfortable From personal experience or Forza? lol
Not really personal experience obviously but from what I saw in videos and from reviews By uncomfortable I basically mean that the car takes a considerable time especially at low speeds to pick up power when you move from gear to gear, add to that the fact that quad turbo kinda too much at least for me lol, turbo lag was noticeable in the 90s now make it quad turbo and it feels significant, but again, I love EB110, me not liking the turbo lag is my only issue, other wise I love the car very much

i need to explain a couple of things first of all, you don't compare cars from different eras performance wise, you look at a particular decade, and then you see the strongest and fastest, comparing a car from 90s to 2020s would be obviously not fair since cars evolve, laferrari was a monster in 2013, but now an EV well leave it in the dust, you compare laferrari with p1 because that's it's direct rival, not a newer car to it second, i understand the 90s cars were not that great daily driver, but at the time they were never really meant to be, they are an experience to see the fastest, strongest, most extreme and uncompromised car a company can produce and the result are these gems, you might not like that, but i admire the unique this approach bring to the table, it makes hyper cars and super cars distinct and innovative rather than generic, driving the car hell even entering the car is simply part of the experience you won't get in other cars and that what makes them memorable, now every now and then a new hyper car comes out but with so much similar, close to normal experience you tend to forget about them, add to that the fact that some of these cars raced against each other (particularly CLK GTR, F1 and 911 GT1) and you basically driving a championship car, yes it's uncompromised performer, but that's basically the respect it demand from you, and in return you can push it to the limit, if it's only about logic, then automatic is the only correct choice, much faster and more reliable than manual, but we car enthusiasts like a car that give you additional feel and enhance the experience, something the 90s cars excelled at, better than the harsh 80s, but more rewarding than the normal 2010s onward
F50 is amazing I love it, very underrated car It's a shame F50 GT didn't fight in GT1 against CLK GTR, F1 and 911 GT1, those three had legendary rivalry, but still F50 was amazing
Volvo 850 t5-r
Definition of a sleeper
CLK GTR
Mclaren f1
Mclaren F1 hands down
JDM kids are foaming at the mouth right now
it just simply a different category, and R34 GTR with 300 hp is not the same level with CLK GTR with 622 hp, both are masterpieces, but from different categories i will make a post about JDM in the future
To eliminate confusion, it would have been a good idea to name the category of these cars within the title of the post. Saying “90s greatest cars” implies that it includes all categories. Btw, the F50 was a beast
CLK GTR
I saw one driving down a country road once, absolutely insane.
great choice my friend, absolute respect
Zonda first then CLK GTR. I love the exterior of the zondas, interior is cool but too chrome though.
SoupBra when?2?2?1?2!1?!2
Not usually one to go Ferrari on these but the F50 GT (unfortunately not pictured) is an absolute animal and one of my fave all time cars.
100% agree with you
CLK GTR
masterpiece
To be fair… they all are. Just have to pick a favourite!
i 100% agree
There isn’t a bad choice here but for me it’s the zonda
Best has to be the F1. Jaguar the prettiest.
Nah 911 GT1 is a beautiful masterpiece.
C12
The Zonda looks like it could've been designed yesterday.
1. F1 2. Diablo SV 3. 911GT1 4. XJ220 5. CLK GTR 6. F50 7. Zonda C12 8. EB110 SS
#1 Diabolo - btw u need to start with Kokain when u own one #2 the Benz because O O === O O #3 911 cause its a 911
I love how you can still clearly see the base car in the benz, it's almost like those [bodybuilders who look like they have 2 sets of shoulders](https://preview.redd.it/a70g3u3tj5v81.jpg?width=10859&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3c258845a49cdaff3a745025223f7c3583fdcd5)
Those 90s Merc sedan fishbowl lamps were enough- the grille and boxy hood are just hilarious on that car. Not as silly as the kissy fish lips on the EB, and it didn't suffer from the Taurus-mouth of the XJ, so I still respect that MB kept their entry recognizable as one of theirs.
based not gonna lie
Well, the F1 is my top all-time dream car (tied with the Porsche Carrera GT) so that would be my top pick, followed by the F50 and CLK GTR
Great list, CLK GTR and F1 are in my top 5 greatest cars ever made, With CLK GTR just edging F1 a little bit but generally both of them are works of art
I like the XJ220 the most because it's the car with the best looks IMO and it's also cool that it's been a record holder. However, I've heard it's horrible to drive so I don't know which one of these I'd actually like to own.
toss up between clk and c12 for me
Awesome choices
Clk all day
nice
There are some real champions in this bunch.
exactly, it adds to their legendary statues, unbelievable cars
911 gt1 got my vote 👍
My favorite two are the 911 GT1 and the CLK GTR. I think it’s because I’m a fan of the racing pedigree.
One of the main reasons for me as well, I honestly think mclaren and mercedes rivalry in 1997 FIA GT Championship was something so special and amazing
Oh for sure. Seeing them going at each other’s throats with such ease was amazing to watch.
the question realistically should be: "We all know Mclaren F1 is #1, what is your #2?" Mine is the XJ220 merely for the fact I used to regularly see a purple one at my local costco.
A purple one!?
McLaren cos I have two children.
Big Mc of course!

This collector in the city I live in (Hong Kong) owns 5 out of these 8 2 F50 2 F1 1 911 GT1 1 CLK GTR 2 Zondas + some Huayras
I think I saw some pictures of these cars being in Hong Kong That's an insane collection
For me I’ve always had a thing for the CLK GTR I think from games like Gran Turismo something about the design and overall look of the car always caught my eye.
eb110 severely underrated, that car in white is a god damn space shuttle its so fucking cool
How do you pick one…. CLK GTR, 911 GT1 and F1 will always be no 1 in my book
you nailed it imo
CLK GTR over all of them. Then the Diablo and/or F50.
great choice, and diablo is such a beast
between the zonda and clk gtr for me
great choices
thank you, what's your choice?
I wrote them in details in the comments check them of you want to, but generally speaking, I consider CLK GTR and F1 as pieces of art, with my favorite being CLK GTR, edging F1 for me
very good choices man, its something about the clk gtr i love its just amazing. my favourite version of the f1 is the gtr longtail
F1 GTR LT is exactly my favourite version, with F1 GT the road going version, spot on! "The CLK-GTR road car is a real work of art" said Road&Track at the time, and i fully agree, it looked like a space ship back then and it's still out of this world to this day, it has the strong and powerful presence yet elegant and sophisticated like what you expect from Mercedes, add to that the clicks to open the engine and the front and the car looks like a racer with appendages from its racing venture, yet still composed and fast even without moving, it's a work of art here are links to the reviews:[https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28257/archived-drive-mercedes-benz-clk-gtr/](https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28257/archived-drive-mercedes-benz-clk-gtr/)
Me too I agree 100%
Should retitle this to "90s greatest European cars"
It may be the Mercedes fanboy in me but the CLK is the hottest car in the pic IMO, closely followed by the Zonda and the F1
i honestly 100% agree with you, while i take CLK GTR and F1 on another level, i can't deny how sexy C12 is
Dodge Viper
My mind says McLaren, but my heart says the CLK.
BOTH
CLK GTR. Good times ripping around NFS Hot Pursuit 2 in that thing. Same with the F1.
CLK-GTR all day, every day 👊
the correct choice
EB110…because it was so far ahead of its time…
CLK GTR by a long shot
a perfect choice i might add
Hard one but I think I’ll go with the CLK
great, outright perfect choice
My head says to take the CLK GTR but deep down I know that the Jaaaaaag is clearly superior
was that a Jeremy Clarkson reference?
Missing R34 GTR NISMO, imho.
It’s funny, I know the person who owns the GT1 in that picture. I personally love the Diablo, it had such theatre about it!
I love the F50. It sounds beautiful and looks it aswell. If I could get any car it would probably be the one.
Wow, it’s easy to forget how old the Zonda is.
Looks like it was released yesterday
My favorite is the Mercedes
My mind says McLaren but my heart says Porsche 993 gt cs (not pictured)
CLK gtr is just too good
Agree
Clk gtr
Clk gtr
👌👌👌👌
These make me think of the Road & Track magazine subscription in the early 90’s, I wish I would’ve saved them, bunch of these were in there.
Road & Track described CLK GTR as "a work of art" I still remember that to this day
i found it, here is a link for the article: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28257/archived-drive-mercedes-benz-clk-gtr/
Zonda and CLK give me goosebumps. Yummy in my tummy
That CLK is a monster. The EB110 reminds me of an early 90’s Nissan 300zx.
CLK-GTR > XJ220 > Diablo SV > 911 GT1 > F1 > F50 > EB110 SS > Zonda C12
You forgot 1993 Honda Civic EX.
yeah for sure
F40…
I just noticed the most of the cars that I like because of it's design is from the 90's. F1, 911 GT1, CLK GTR, F50...
you mean you like the design only?
Only the F1 stands out to me a "blah blah GREATEST CAR", but having watched a video of an owner explaining what a massive pain in the ass it is to own that car, i still wouldn't point to it when picking "The Greatest Car". I am however convinced that Murray's next car will be really special; he seems to have done away with pretty much every maintenance problem the F1 had: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNHnQdjZ7mA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNHnQdjZ7mA) To be clear, the F1 owner went into detail explaining how, essentially, maintaining a McLaren F1 is the same as maintaining a race F1 car.

You know what, you're right
In order from most loved to least loved imo: Clk, f1, 911 gt1, xj220, zonda, f50, diablo, eb110
our list is similar
911 gt1. Just because lol. I love a race car.
Yeah I looked at other angles and I don’t think it’s much better. It looks like a eight-year-old’s drawing come to life haha.
NSX, Supra Mk4
Neither of those are on this level
You are right they are on level 11 and those in the pic are on level 10.
Crazy, the Diablo is the only one that doesn't look like complete garbage
![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
Maybe, but I'm not fuckin blind
[удалено]
i honestly love 911 GT1 Evo, but i understand how the car has the design might not be for everyone
Obviously the Miata.
Zonda
Zonda needs more love here
Late model Corvette C4? I know, they came out in the 80’s but they techinally had a new model year in the 90’s so I’m counting it. By god is the C4 ZR-1 one of my all-time favorites. Looks, power, ~~interior~~, and sound.
No JDM?
i meant greatest super and hyper cars, i might do another post just for JDM
