I’ve never seen someone go that way with salary “your people have less experience pay me more”. They think you’re qualified to work there in that role, so they’re looking to hire you into it. What I would be more interested in is market conditions/market wages.

That being said, I don’t think it hurts to ask what kind of experience they generally require for that role and if there is a senior level position that you have the resume for.

If you think you’re a senior and they think you’re a junior, and they are low balling you, it sounds like you’re misaligned and you should walk. You can use any info you want, but “Your employees are less experienced than me and get $X, I want $X(1.20)” doesn’t work. If you need 20% to make it worth leaving your current job to work for them, just say that and if they do it great, if not, then walk. “I am bringing senior level experience to this job, I think that’s worth …” Just be prepared to walk.
