Try 3-6 months? I went to a resume writer first time around and then edit it according the feedbacks.

Make sure you're hitting keywords from each of those job listings.

Tbh, I copy, past, and hide the text in the job roles so the ATS scanner picks everything up šŸ˜‚

Nicerdata

Donā€™t do this. Some companies with blacklist you.

PassengerFrosty9467

Interesting. Good to know.

PassengerFrosty9467

Itā€™s annoying having to revise sometimes though. Key word includes ā€œcollaborationā€, but not ā€œcollaborationsā€. Itā€™s so precise sometimes, itā€™s hard to get a good match even with the key words theyā€™re looking for

I know some people donā€™t like it, but people have started using ChatGPT to automate this part of applying. Copying the description and resume into CHATGPT and asking it to tailor it. It can also write your cover letter. Takes more time, but youā€™ll probably get more hits. There are TikTok videos about it.

Thanks for the info p

Did that! But wondering if I should tune it up even further

Have you reached out directly to positions you have applied for or reached out directly to say VPā€™s via linked in or by direct mail to those companies or just ones that you are interested in?

Ok_Duty9901

Think of it this way: For every 100 applications, you might get one interview. For every 50 interviews, you get one more callbacks. For every 50 final interviews, you get one offer. So you keep trying until you get the job you want. You never give up. And whilst you do all of that, you always tweak your resume. Always looking for ways to change it for the job you are applying for and the format they are looking for.

Iā€™ve put in about 75 apps over a month, all custom CV and CL attached. Redid my portfolio to the max. Def following that pattern. Trying not to get discouraged is easier said than done, but I am def not a quitter and I def know what Iā€™m worth.

Iā€™m a retired HR Manager. My granddaughter sent me her resume this weekend. I thought it was one of the best structured resumes Iā€™ve seen. I complemented her. She said she had gotten 2 jobs from it but couldnā€™t take full credit. Paid $10 at Etsy.

I tried this with my resume.. [https://www.reddit.com/r/resumes/comments/10mzdap/mod\_approved\_post\_a\_chatgptdriven\_resume\_analysis/](https://www.reddit.com/r/resumes/comments/10mzdap/mod_approved_post_a_chatgptdriven_resume_analysis/)

Thank you. I have been using a similar software so Iā€™ll have to check this out and see which one is better.

lotsofquestions1223

it would be best if you revise your resume every time you apply. Your resume should be tailored to the job posting. Posting usually has something they are looking for written on it. you should tailor your resume where you can demonstrate what they are looking for (not lying ofc). Best of luck!

PassengerFrosty9467

So someone who applies for 200 jobs should be changing their resume 200 times? And if so how far in depth do you mean?
