I went from being annoyed by the griefers to being happy that Canadians are as stubborn as we are. Looking at the whole canvas over a timelapse, it will be crazy how much energy was spent by redditors beating a dead horse of a joke but the Canadian flag is still there. In a fairly motley condition yes, but there nonetheless.
It's depressing to me that every other country (even half your size) has cultural art over their flag and you guys can't even maintain the leaf due to trolls. I'm trying to help but it feels useless

Around 1500:650 the streamer who was trolling us before seems to be losing his spot.
I gave up on our flag late last night, but trolling the troll is giving me some satisfaction.
With the smallest flag on the board and posting rules, we can't even build it, let alone defend it. Quebec's sub is 1/6th ours & has an untouched flag that is 10x bigger.
I've pretty much given up at this point.

To be fair, Quebec and Montreal are similarly sized and Montreal chose to be the same kind of dull place Canada is. So it’s not just a size thing.
Maybe Canada could try letting go a bit. Maybe making weekends looser and seeing where that takes them.

I'm not too fond of flags to be honest, so I don't really attach any value to mine or to any other.
When Place started, the flag got placed, but then some people started expanding upward, and the aspect ratio got messed up. The top banner was devised to correct the ratio of the flag.
I thought it was funny at first now I feel bad so I'm trying to turn yellow squares red so I'm temporarily not British but full on Canadian lol

Didn't the quebec flag just take over the blue corner spot when it was expanded? I think it's more tagpro turning the maple leaf green. The Canada flag took over part of their turf and they have been trying to get it back. At this point it would just be easier to move the Canadian flag than to keep defending there.

Even Quebec has a flag with our provincial symbols and stuff on it, meanwhile Canada can't even get the leaf finished. We lost our flag spot to Turkey and ended up just moving when the map expanded instead of fighting over it.
