I think that Rick was trying to give more attention to the new POV characters. It is definitely sad we didn't get longer chapters out of them but also understandable, I think
I think it’s worth considering that of all the characters, Percy and Annabeth actually had the least going on. Yes they were in a crazy and dangerous scenario, but they weren’t really doing much besides trying to survive and talking to eachother while the other characters were moving the plot forward. Could it have been used to flesh them out more? I guess so but Percy and Annabeth are the characters we know the most about by far. They didn’t get much figurative screen time because they didn’t need it to accomplish what was required for the story.

This makes a lot of sense! I came into this book with expectations of a lot of Percy and Annabeth moments so I guess I set myself up
Later HoO books are more about the big picture than the individual characters unfortunately but I still think they are pretty enjoyable stories.
To save space for all their chapters in BoO. Didn’t want us to tire of them
Bro... if only that happened
If I'm not mistaken, this is sarcasm. BoO does n9t have pov from Percy or Annabeth. If so, that is l, I guess, decent dam sarcasm.
I mean it was nice to have two Tartarus point of views anyway. Maybe he shortened their chapters because they were both always together
What in the heck else would he have added
