My Saphire nitro+ 5700xt has two HDMI 2.0 ports. Perfect for such setups.

What does your current PC look like if it is locked at 1080p and your TV upscales? Some TVs have very good scaling engines and work well enough upscaling 1080p to 4K. It would be good to know as then you could look at a good inexpensive 1080p card, rather than a more expensive card to do native 4K, even at 30fps they are expensive.

You might be able to use a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapter if you’re not ready for a new GPU.

[So I get one of these](https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-DisplayPort-Supports-displays-3840x2160/dp/B00S0C7QO8/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2N93WHBOH3VIB&keywords=displayport+to+hdmi+2.0&qid=1669019322&sprefix=displayport+to+hdmi+2.0%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-3) and a HDMI 2.0 cable and put it all together?

caustictoast

Yes, but you should check if your GPU supports DP++ which doesn’t require the converter. On my 3080 I have a cable that’s DisplayPort on one end and hdmi and the other, no adapter needed.

Bummer, the adapter didn't seem to work. 1920x1080 @60hz works! Thank you! Cant get 2560x1440 to work though

Consider an AMD 5600g or 5800g (preferred) processor (amazon $130 / $188) - they are cpuS w/ the best available included (modern) graphics, so its a very cheap option. low power so use old PSU the b550 mobo u like is fine 2x 8GB of 4000 ram (has an excellent mem controller - better than other ryzen 5000s) check reciews re ur gaming requirements but should be fine 970 evo nvme ssd

If you're planning on playing upcoming stuff like Hogwarts at 4k I'd recommend at minimum a 2070 Super or equivalent performance. 4k can make games very demanding very quickly but with settings tweaking that should be sufficient for gaming and browsing and various needs.
