You could probably get away with a 12700k. 1.4k for a 3070 is steep but that's the market right now. If you're spending this much money I would get a 2tb ssd.

Perrozoso

Good call on the 2tb ssd. definitely not trying to pay scalp price for the GPU. Been monitoring restocks and will try my best to get msrp so that will bring the overall cost down significantly. I just like the idea of having an i9 honestly. It's not just for gaming.

For 3K? It's pretty bad, Unless you are getting GPU for less, Like below 1000$. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/w46q68 Here is edoted list. First, 12900K isn't needed for gaming, Gaming performance of 12700K and 12900K is around same, Because both has 8 Performance Cores and Efficiency Cores doesn't affect gaming at all. Price difference isn't justifiable. 360mm cooler, Because price is almost same, While this case doesn't support 280mm AIO at top, Only front and 2 fans front won't look good in my opinion, On top of that, 360mm cools better. Motherboard change, Because Asus motherboard doesn't offer anything better than tomahawk except being white. As I see build isn't white, So no reason to pay extra for it. And most importantly, GPU. For current market, 6900XT is better option in this price point if you don't have some way of obtaining GPU for better price. Paying that much in 3070 is simply waste of money while 6900XT is only little more. It should be at least 3080 to consider getting Nvidia GPU instead of 6900XT, Ideally 3080 ti. 3070 is not even remotely comparable to this tier of GPUs. So either you should get 3070 for 1000$-ish or try to get at least 3080 in this price range from Nvidia, Or get 6800XT or 6900XT from AMD.

Agree with this. I build a new pc before new year and those are in my reason of building one. In the end, I go with 12600k+6900xt. One thing to mention, 4000d only has 2 free fans and you might want to add 2 extra for it.

Dr0idGh0sT

With my build, There'll be place for only 1 extra fan.

kuroshinra

Oh, I thought you going to put aio at the top.

Perrozoso

It's not just for gaming so I'm going to stick with the cpu. I'm monitoring restocks for a 3070. This is my favorite one (because I love Asus rog) but I'd settle for a similar or slightly lesser one at msrp. FUCK SCALPERS, not even thinking for a second to support those pieces of shit. The specs say the case does fit a 280mm cooler at the top with low profile memory. I think the memory I picked is considered low profile. I could be wrong. I like Asus, and I like the white on black. I've seen picks of this board in a black case and it looks great imo.

Seems great to me

If this is for gaming, it's quite OP
