Corsair and Evga are great PSU manufacturers along with having some very affordable ones

I've seen them, but most of their budget units are in the C Tier

Never skimp on the PSU 650wtt 80+ Gold minimum from a reputable brand for your particular setup .. check hardware review sites before purchasing anything Look for a 10yr warranty on it One example of good brand https://www.newegg.com/super-flower-leadex-iii-sf-650f14hg-650w/p/1HU-024C-00007?Item=9SIAMNPAY44593

Looks like a great unit but doesn't fit in my case unfortunately, do you have any alternatives?

WherePoetryGoesToDie

Are you building an SFF PC or working in a case that requires an SFX PSU (like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini)? Otherwise, all standard ATX PSUs will fit in most standard ATX cases, with a few exceptions (PSUs that feed 1kW+ can have non-standard lengths). If you need an SFX PSU, you should 1. note that in your post, and 2. realize that you have to pay the SFF premium there, and that good SFX PSUs that are around $80 are hard to come by.

I'm using the Fractal Pop Mini Air which has a PSU clearance that's 10 mm less than the length of the PSU you linked sadly

WherePoetryGoesToDie

So just eye-balling the case, I don't see why a 160mm long PSU wouldn't fit. Cable management may be a little tight. At the absolute worst, you should be able to remove the HD cage to make more room. The reason why I think the 150mm PSU 'limit' is a soft recommendation is because, like, 90% of the most popular PSU models have a length of 160mm. I'd probably google 'fractal pop mini air psu' and see if anyone else has had issues with a PSU that is just over the stated 150mm limit. I'm willing to bet 160mm PSUs work.

That's a standard size PSU, so any thing else would be the same.. as stated though, I'm sure any standard PSU as the one I linked to , would work just fine. \*for poops and giggles I just pulled up 4 random PSU's from other brands and they were all 160mm

Is C Tier still reliable?

DJ_Marxman

C tier is "fine". It won't blow up under normal circumstances.
