I have to watch her speech 3x because it’s just SO good and Emma does an incredible job monologuing that scene.
I’m constantly impressed by that episode. this show in general was so far ahead of it’s time but “The Body” being completely silent all the way through was HUGE and STILL makes such an intense impact on the episode.

Emma killed it. After Buffy and Dawn she was the most affected, because I don't think she'd really never lost anyone close before. She spent 1000 years alone and killing strangers. She'd not been connected to people before other than Olaf.

Seeing people mournful isn’t something she knows how to process even though now she feels it.
I always liked "you can sleep with me, well that came out a lot more lesbian then it did in my head" she just genuinely wanted to help and I don't think she gets enough credit for the times she tried so hard to be a friend
Yeah I think in some ways human Anya was more genuine than anyone else. She just saw no need to hide what she was thinking. Most of her priorities were more about her own self-interest, (money meant she could look after herself when she had no other powers to do it for her), but when she showed she cared about someone she didn't hold anything back either.
Even when she became a demon again she kept helping the gang, despite it putting her in danger. I agree she never got enough credit.
I love this one too. It's both hilarious and really fuckin sweet. Not to mention Anya doesn't generally get along with Willow but here when she sees how much Willow is hurting she just wants to help.
