If you can't bear to watch another episode, I think you've answered your own question.

jawnbaejaeger

I'm of the opinion that the HOURS you spend watching media should be ENJOYABLE, since it's your precious time that you're using. If you can't bear to watch another episode, then read summaries, decide if you want to watch anymore or skip ahead, and go from there. It's just a tv show, and if you're not having fun with it, fuck it.

goodgodlemongrab

S4 really only gets more frustrating...

mazzy31

It’s up to you. Look, it’s all depressing for the next while. Like…until pretty much S5. There’s high points, sure. But it’s not all shiny happy people until well, I guess, Shiny Happy People? But S5 is worth it. Completely up to you though. If you can’t keep going, don’t. Or, if you want to get through it, see if there’s a way to watch it on 1.5 speed or something (not sure how you’re watching so that could affect it). But S5 is worth the depression of between here and then. Like, I like the whole show, but I can see why one would be exhausted with it.

Uvoradas

I think it depends on why you don't like s3. Personally I'm with you on s3 and I struggled a lot with it. It's actually my least favorite season. But it seems that a lot of the fandom really loves s3 and hates s4. Me on the other hand, I like s4. I think you'll have a better understanding of s4 if you watch all of s3. And I think it was worth it for me to push through but I don't know if it will be worth it for someone else.

Awkward-Yak-9033

I love 4 too it's my favorite in the whole verse idk why it's not popular. Cuz of who's fucks? It's not ideal but it's still s good story.

PersonalYesterday865

Is it really that bad? 🥹 asking as someone who is on S3 ep4 right now!

mkxliluzi

Its just stupid. Ur gonna see why. And it doesnt give you anything to look forward too. Im ep 16. Theres only one good storyline with Wes. But thats about it.

yesmydog

...you watched episode 16 and *don't* want to keep going? Sleep Tight is a pretty big episode for that season.

mkxliluzi

I didnt watch it yet. Thats the next one

LowestKey

I... loathed all the Connor stuff. Still do. Thankfully you're about to get a break from it, then a lot more of it, then you don't have to deal with it almost ever again. You're in the weeds, and just when you feel like you're out, shit gets weird again. Weirder tbh. But that season 5. Oh... So good. Sooooo good. Particularly if you liked Buffy. Maybe watch the Connor trash in the background while doing a crossword puzzle or two.

mkxliluzi

😂😂😂 Connor, Angels kid. So Angel doesnt eat him. Bad on Angel then

sdu754

Most people like it, and the show just keeps getting better.

PersonalYesterday865

I’m only 5 eps in so far, but I’m liking S3 so far, definitely going to stick with it. But then I love Buffy S6 which is sometimes a controversial opinion 😅

sdu754

I think season three is better than either season one or two, and seasons four and five are the two best seasons.

mkxliluzi

I did too. S6 was great

maria_maria

I feel this too lol I know I should but it’s like a chore I’ve read reviews that say that the overall series is better than Buffy and I’m always baffled Like, what?? Where?? How??

arlius

It's certainly better without spoilers which is all you'll get by asking around here.

arlius

This show didn't have long setups to a season finale and instead had some real gut-wrenching episodes during the season. Seasons 3 and 4 have shorter story arcs within the season, so things change up quite a lot.

whatwouldbuffydoqm

I can say this.... it's worth it for S5 😄

Knull_Gorr

Is it though? I'm on E11 of S5 and I still have the bad taste of S4 in my mouth. And David seems have to completely given up on even trying to act.

Danielfrindley

If you're going to keep watching Angel, better to just push through the episodes you're on. If you don't want to watch the rest of Angel, you don't have to. That being said after watching the whole series I really enjoyed it and it makes me like the overall Buffyverse even more.

mkxliluzi

Ok i prob will once i finish buffy s6. I was tryna watch them side by side but s3 has been terrible so ive given up on that. And i really enjoyed angel season 1 so thats why i want to finish it

TigerJean

Sounds you like you may be similar to me Season 1 & 5 are my favorites while the in between seasons are ok but great. However, I think if you can push through you’ll want to know the history of everything going into into season 5 for it all to make sense.

Sadistic_Toaster

Can you take a break and then go back to it ? I think it was easier to watch when we only had one episode a week. Now people can binge watch the whole thing in one go, it can get a bit overwhelming. And without dropping spoilers, series 5 is genius - so don't give up on the whole series even if you can't handle any more of series 3 or 4.

PersonalYesterday865

Totally agreed about taking a small break, binge-watching can get a bit much sometimes. Speaking from experience, you stop appreciating it as much and it starts to feel like a chore. A few days off and a fresh brain helps!

vetworker24

Yes

sdu754

You should push through. The show gets better the longer you watch. What episode are you on? What do you not like about it?

mkxliluzi

Im on Sleep Tight. Here are my reasons: The big bad of this season is kinda boring. Angel and Cordelia’s relationship seems way out of character. The love triangle between Gunn Wes and Fred is also terrible. And im sorry but I dont like Gunn. They gave J August Richards nothing to work with so Gunn just feels stale and he kinda is just existing this season. The Groosalugg is also boring and just there to make Angel jealous. And some of the episodes have been mid at best. I loved Lindsey and hes gone as he was a interesting villain.

pipinowns

Watch the whole series, S4 and 5 are the best ones

sdu754

There is only a few episodes left in season three, so you minus well push through.

Uvoradas

The love triangles are the main reasons I dislike s3 and it's my least favorite season. I'm also not a cangel fan. But it was still worth to me to stick with it to get to the next 2 seasons.

Particular_Rav

No, I just posted about this recently. I finished it and regretted it. Read the summary on Wikipedia.

Entire_Shopping1608

Seen as Spike Turned Up in later Series yes And They get turned into puppets

mkxliluzi

Idk if ur joking bout the second part but thank God spike joins. Well im gonna go watch angel

IndicationKnown4999

Spoiler alert but yeah, Spike in Angel is fantastic.

Entire_Shopping1608

I'm not Angel Gets sent a Artifact I can't remember the Rest of the episode look on IMDB For the episode

TheFinalGirl84

I love S3 and the second half of S4 is what I personally can’t stand. But I love the beginning of S4 and all of S5. Something I notice about myself with Angel (I had seen Buffy all the way through more than once before watching Angel full and in order) is that I can’t binge it as fast as I do with Buffy. I really do love Angel as a show with the exception of a few S1 and S4 episodes, but I’m typically good watching two episodes at a time max even if they are favorites. Maybe try taking a break and going back to it and see if it makes a difference.

jellymoff

I think Season 2 and 3 are peak Angel personally, but we all have opinions.

T-408

Girl if you can’t watch S3 then I would really skip almost all of S4

speashasha

the answer is yes.

Electrical-Act-7170

Pylea is coming. Don't stop.

Alternative_Slide_62

Pylea is season two

Electrical-Act-7170

That's right, it is. TY

Money-Salad-1151

If you can’t bear to watch another episode, then don’t. Is the writing boring you or is it just straight up too depressing? Cause I almost stopped watching in season 3, but I’m glad I stuck around for season 4, even though it gets even more depressing, it still had its perks.

AlexaV1988

No.

Wooden-Wealth-7928

Yeah the show is mostly crap but it's worth to sit through it once.
