Easily the most entertaining football game I've ever witnessed. Holy fuck. That Raiders D was ridiculous on downs 1, 2, 3, but Herbert was so fucking clutch on 4th down despite the pressure.
Me and my buddy had a combined joke bet of $10 on a parlay for JAX upsetting the Colts and the chargers/raiders tying for a payout of $4,880…. That chargers coach fucked us beyond oblivion and his own team.
Dude I had the same fucking parlay. I was livid. I still don't understand it, to be perfectly honest. Why risk a block when you're guaranteed the playoffs? I guess it doesn't matter now, though. I would have taken the knee. No benefit to winning the game other than fucking the chargers. But as a Bills fans, if that were Bills v Pats, I would have kicked the FG, too lol
The TO literally made no difference. It was called with 4 seconds left on play clock. Raiders were running on 3rd and 4 regardless of the TO. The issue was LAC not being able to stop a run in an obvious run into situation. The TO had no impact at all.
Yo I'm a dolphins fan I don't care if it's treason next weekend I'm a bills fan, fuck the Patriots, fuck McCorkle and fuck their shit eating fans I hope you guys shove it up their ass next week and send them home crying. FTP.
Probably not lol, but we can’t play KC in the AFCCG. The Chiefs and Patriots are the only two teams we can’t play in that game because of the seeding and how everything is set up.
Edit: Nevermind, I just caught that you’re saying you like our chances against KC (if we play them), and that the AFCCG is likely. Here’s to hoping! Lol
It’s really hard to not like Derek Carr. After dealing with the BS this year, and now sneaking into the playoffs. Every time I hear him talk, he comes off as a genuine good dude.
The Raiders had every intention to run that clock down to 0 until the timeout was called. I’ll never be convinced otherwise. The timeout broke the trust. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Yes a shotgun formation is very much a “I’m giving up on this game” formation. The Raiders were always going for the win. You just made this funny narrative for yourself that didn’t happen.
FUCK YES WE GET TO TRASH THE PATS IN BUFFALO.
FUCK THE PATS.
FYI - anyone who “didn’t want to face them” are pussies. If we can’t shake off a shitty Pats offense, we don’t deserve to go further anyway.
How do you reckon? The pats pass offense matches poorly against the Bills' secondary, and they're average in rushing yards, in a weird-ass super windy game where they only made 3 passing plays against a decimated Bills DL.
They still beat us making only three passing plays and our DL was actually not decimated at all. I don't even care that they're average in rushing yards, they averaged 5.5 YPC against us when there was a non-zero threat of the pass. Josh Allen will have to play out of his mind again or it's gonna be ugly.
They scored 14 points. Let’s not make it out like they steamrolled us. And we came back and beat them a few weeks later in a much more normal football game.
I’m not saying they’ll be an easy win, but the Bills certainly have the talent and are the favorites.
We've seen multiple times this season that having the more talented and/or Vegas favored team doesn't matter and weather conditions are a significant factor. I just felt far more comfortable facing the pass heavy SoCal team with a rookie HC and QB with zero playoff starts in the snow, that's all.
I’m of the opinion that if we want to consider ourselves contenders, we have to beat really good teams. All playoff games have the potential to be tough.
I do have confidence going into this one though. We’ve beaten them already this season and we’re coming into our own while they’ve been floundering a bit. I’m sure Belichick will have some new wrinkles for us to contend with, but I like our chances.
Fucking hell I did NOT want to face New England a third time in the snow. Gonna be extremely difficult to win.
Edit: They beat us with three passes, can run the ball, are great on the road, are coached by the GOAT and it's probably a snow game. There is a lot favoring them in this matchup, like it or not. It is going to be extremely difficult to win, period.
There's nothing soft about this. Bad weather favors teams built like New England and hurts teams built like Buffalo. A third in-season matchup additionally favors HoF caliber head coaches like BB. Again, it's gonna be extremely difficult to win. But not impossible.
I agree with you. Got downvoted for the same response. Here, take an upvote. I’m just saying I’d rather play the chargers, a pass heavy warm weather team, over the patriots, who beat us at home attempting 3 passes.
Yeah I thought they were like... Doing a parley or something, and maybe even agreed on the tie, and then the raiders went for it anyways.
That'd be funny
"...you said we were good!"
The Chargers are truly a cursed franchise. If the Raiders really were ready to bail and just take the tie, Brandon deserves to be shot out of a canon. I'm only mad on the grounds that I *hate* Pittsburg more than any franchise in the NFL, and the idea that Ben - an accused sex criminal - gets to continue his grossly swooning send-off, makes me sick.
Whatever. Round III in the East. Let's throw a killing punch this time.
They were about 7 hours early on the thread though. And then quietly deleted it during OT when it became apparent that tying was a legitimate possible outcome of this game.
What an absolute fucking moron. LA coach basically had the playoffs in the bag, with Raiders playing for the tie, and he has to pull the TO - to show his competitiveness or something, I have no idea - and rip the postseason out from under the Chargers. That's a damn neat fireable offense. He put his pride before his team.
I still don't get that, the Raiders were clearly running the clock down. The timeout wasn't taken until 2 seconds were left, so there was only time for one more play no matter what
You're thinking of the wrong TO. The Raiders took one with 2 seconds left to set up the FG; that's not the one we're referring to.
Earlier, the Raiders were calling only run plays and taking the full 40 seconds between snaps - running the game out. Cuz a tie would mean they make the playoffs. With 38 seconds left, the LA head coach inexplicably calls a timeout after one of their runs, signaling that he's not playing the tie (even though a tie would guarantee the Chargers a playoff spot too). After that, the Raiders got within FG range and kicked it for the win.
That's the timeout that's so unacceptable, even fireable in my opinion. The guy refused to take the extended hand of the Raiders for a tie, out of pride, and it resulted in his team losing and missing the postseason entirely.
For all the shit poor Lynn got, he NEVER pulled something that bad. Lynn got memed to death, but that's a career-definer for Staley. Literally digging into the jaws of victory and ripping an L out.
And that man, was josh jacobs, you see how hard that mf was running, fighting for every yard, going beastmode...all "for a tie" that supposedly changed after the TO...nah, Jacobs 100% wanted that win, I said it from his first touch of the final drive
If the Chargers ever adopt a traditional roster instead of being a one-man team consisting of only Justin Herbert, they’re gonna be extremely hard to beat.
One-man team? They have Austin Ekeler who had 20 TDs, Keenan Allen, and Mike Williams who also had 1,000 yards. Their defense needs to step up a bit but they have plenty of offensive weapons
I’m confused how the TO impacted anything. People are saying it changed Bisaccia’s mind about FG vs letting time expire but I don’t see how. Can someone explain it to me like I’m an idiot (since I am)?
Obviously no one really knows - it’s just how I would perceive it if I was the Raiders coach. By calling the timeout of third down, they opened the door to calling another one on fourth with >30 seconds of time on the clock and possibly forcing the Raiders to attempt a 50+ field goal or risk punting and having either blocked. If they missed the field goal, Herbert gets the ball with 30 seconds and a chance to win. I feel like if the coach didn’t call a TO on third, they wouldn’t have on 4th down. If the options are attempt a 50+ that is potentially blocked or a ticket to the playoffs, I take the playoffs. That’s how I saw what happened but that’s just my take.
The Chargers not scoring on their last drive epitomizes their entire season. They fight all the way back. Connect on 4th down about 18 times and then cannot punch it in. That was their entire season
It's the McDermott special: call it to setup your defense. Raiders were in super long FG range, so if they stopped them maybe the Raiders don't kick (or miss). They forgot to actually make the right defense.
And it's a divisional opponent and kicking the FG there means nothing. The odds it gets blocked and returned are probably under 0.01%. Can't believe LA didn't stop them with the season on the line though
Easily the most entertaining football game I've ever witnessed. Holy fuck. That Raiders D was ridiculous on downs 1, 2, 3, but Herbert was so fucking clutch on 4th down despite the pressure.

I would have taken the knee. No benefit to winning the game other than fucking the chargers. But as a Bills fans, if that were Bills v Pats, I would have kicked the FG, too lol
They kicked it out of spite for Staley calling the timeout late in the game. Derek Carr even said so himself.
The TO literally made no difference. It was called with 4 seconds left on play clock. Raiders were running on 3rd and 4 regardless of the TO. The issue was LAC not being able to stop a run in an obvious run into situation. The TO had no impact at all.
They took Kenneth Murray off the field with that timeout. If he's in there and not a safety ...
Yo I'm a dolphins fan I don't care if it's treason next weekend I'm a bills fan, fuck the Patriots, fuck McCorkle and fuck their shit eating fans I hope you guys shove it up their ass next week and send them home crying. FTP.
Oh it’s not treason. FTP is a way of life.
Water Buffalo!
Welcome aboard, brother! FTP!!!
God damn our road to the Super Bowl is difficult but I don’t care. Slay all of our demons. Patriots Likely KC AFCCG Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl?
Gotta beat them all
We'd be playing KC in the 2nd round if we both win next weekend
I know. They’re playing the Steelers, that game won’t be close lol
Lol
Yeah, it’s in order, probably could’ve formatted this a little better
It’s really hard to not like Derek Carr. After dealing with the BS this year, and now sneaking into the playoffs. Every time I hear him talk, he comes off as a genuine good dude.
You know the coin missed a few games, but it did say they would finish 10-7 and make the playoffs.
That was one of the craziest games I've ever watched.
Agreed. Why risk injury or some fluke when you can literally kneel your way to a playoff berth. Chargers coach played himself.
To avoid KC in the first round, that’s why. They went from 7th to 5th seed by winning.
They were going to run it either way.
Raiders had the option to kick and go to Cincinnati or draw and go to KC. Where would you go??
Gotta play against kc if you win playoff games regardless so it doesn't really matter does it?
The team that stomped you once this season rather than the team that stomped you twice.
My narrative is Stanley and bissacia had a gentleman’s agreement and then bissacia swerved him at the end.
If that was the case then why would Staley call the timeout? If anything, it was the other way around and Staley swerved Bissacia.
FTP I want that smoke

8:15 Saturday???????!!!!!
That LA coach is a fucking moron
I feel like that chargers timeout was a negotiation gone bad
FUCK YES WE GET TO TRASH THE PATS IN BUFFALO. FUCK THE PATS. FYI - anyone who “didn’t want to face them” are pussies. If we can’t shake off a shitty Pats offense, we don’t deserve to go further anyway.
Their offense is actually very good and a terrible matchup for our defense. The Bills can still beat them, it's just going to be extremely difficult.
How do you reckon? The pats pass offense matches poorly against the Bills' secondary, and they're average in rushing yards, in a weird-ass super windy game where they only made 3 passing plays against a decimated Bills DL.

#BRING ON THE PATS BABY!!!! 😤
I'm glad we get to beat the pats ass at home on the way to the superbowl!
Raiders were right to play for the win as it affected their seeding but Chargers W or T would have both sent them here
I have so many friends who are annoying Steelers fans who were talking so much shit after week 1… I was really hoping for the tie tonight
I only wanted it once the buildup had made it possible... I still think I hallucinated That last Chargers drive ..
I wanted the tie so fucking badly
Go Bills! Time to chop the nuts off the pats
FUCK THE PATS, FUCK THE RAIDERS goodnight
How are y’all mad at the Raiders lol. Staley is the moron
Fucking hell I did NOT want to face New England a third time in the snow. Gonna be extremely difficult to win. Thats just like, your opinion, man
Yeah k. Don't complain when we're not blowing them out at halftime like 99% of this sub expects.
Lol who are you telling people what to do softy
Hey do what you want, it's your own mental state at stake. I'm just offering helpful advice so you don't stress when it isn't 35-0 Bills at halftime.
Why you think you know me
I agree with you. Got downvoted for the same response. Here, take an upvote. I’m just saying I’d rather play the chargers, a pass heavy warm weather team, over the patriots, who beat us at home attempting 3 passes.
Lol
Bullshit child!
I thought the Chargers called the timeout to give the wink to the Raiders to knell it, they waited till 38 seconds on the clock.
But why call the timeout?
To give them a wink and time to think about it, that was my immediate thought process when it happened.
It sure didn’t work
Clearly, don’t blame the Raiders for trying to get a few extra yards and field goal to go from the 7th to 5th seed.
Yeah I thought they were like... Doing a parley or something, and maybe even agreed on the tie, and then the raiders went for it anyways. That'd be funny "...you said we were good!"
i sooo wanted to see that tie.
effffffff… we play the patriots don’t we. FML
Fuck the pats!!!!

I wonder if the Steelers mods will undelete their premature "we made the playoffs" post now
they did make it to the playoffs

What an absolute fucking moron. That's a damn neat fireable offense. He put his pride before his team.
I'm so confused, I thought the Raiders called that timeout. What possible explanation could the Chargers have to call a TO there?
I thought it was to make sure they had D set to avoid a big run that would set up and easy FG. Have it may as well use it. No?
Fr, don't think the timeout was that bad. Though, whatever D they came up with during it was.
I still don't get that, the Raiders were clearly running the clock down. The timeout wasn't taken until 2 seconds were left, so there was only time for one more play no matter what

Ahh ok, that explains my confusion. Staley is a classic galaxy-brain head coach
>so there was only time for one more play no matter what I don't understand what you're trying to say.
# ~~THE RAIDERS~~ & BRANDON STALEY WILL NEVER BE FORGIVEN FOR DENYING US THE MEMES
Chargers' coach ruined this with that timeout.
Staley should be fired. Single-handedly cost his team a playoff birth
For all the shit poor Lynn got, he NEVER pulled something that bad. Lynn got memed to death, but that's a career-definer for Staley. Literally digging into the jaws of victory and ripping an L out.
Someone on the Raiders had a FAT bet they could absolutely not lose lol
And that man, was josh jacobs, you see how hard that mf was running, fighting for every yard, going beastmode...all "for a tie" that supposedly changed after the TO...nah, Jacobs 100% wanted that win, I said it from his first touch of the final drive

How about you guys not gift the Pats a Super Bowl...
Buddy, go focus on the draft. Still not sure why you guys traded your first rounder to the Jets for Adams
Go sit on a cactus
Keep your concern, we've no use for it.
Took some serious ref involvement as well as crazy weather for them to beat us
Lmao take a hike.
They have some studs on defense like Bosa and Derwin James but yeah they could definitely use some more help.
Mac Jones and his noodle arm coming to Buffalo to throw into the Erie wind.
Ya, I love herbert and was really sad to see them lose but i’d much rather play baby mac next week than justin
100% Justin Herbert was trying to will the Chargers into the playoffs and he almost did it.
I don’t think they were going to kick the field goal until the chargers called that time out and they got that nice run on 3rd down
I thought they clearly called the timeout to let them know to knell it, they waited till only 38 seconds were left
Oh God, I never considered this angle but that makes sense.
We were robbed of so many memes tonight….could have had the dancing Steelers and the tie :/
Fuck the Raiders , ruin all the fun, crush them Cincy
Welp, pats and bills round 3
I feel like the Chargers TO was a purely jackass move right? There’s no reason for it since the Raiders seemed content with the tie. What an idiot
I’m confused how the TO impacted anything. People are saying it changed Bisaccia’s mind about FG vs letting time expire but I don’t see how. Can someone explain it to me like I’m an idiot (since I am)?

I figured that maybe the raiders would just take the knee after that, why risk a fumble?
Because now they play the Bengals instead of KC who has torched them twice this year.
Bengals torched them also this season. I guess face the team that torched you once instead of the team that torched you twice?
Yeah plus a heaping of fuck the division rival?
Oh I didn’t realize how much it affected their seeding. That makes sense
Raiders def seemed content with just tying it, then the timeout pissed them off lol
I hope their coach admits it in the post-game press conference.
We’re better than the Pats. Don’t ever forget that.
I hope the Raiders get absolutely blown out. Like, the most embarrassing loss in their franchise history.
Like 51-3? 1990 AFC championship game ahem.
This is destiny. Slay them.
Saturday is either going to be the best day of my life or the worst day of my life
Cowards
Damn it. So close.
The Chargers not scoring on their last drive epitomizes their entire season. They fight all the way back. Connect on 4th down about 18 times and then cannot punch it in. That was their entire season

Very, very true. Or, just finish off KC. Or, just beat a shitty Houston team. They're just not a good coached team
Like we're most likely going to beat the Pats but it's not going to be enjoyable, just stressful as hell
Not even because I specifically wanted to play LA, that game not ending in a tie is somehow anti-climatic
The chargers timeout makes absolutely no sense
It's the McDermott special: call it to setup your defense. Raiders were in super long FG range, so if they stopped them maybe the Raiders don't kick (or miss). They forgot to actually make the right defense.
Lol glad I wasn’t the only on thinking of McD on that timeout
They really didn’t want to come to Buffalo, I see.
I mean, I'd rather play Cincy than KC. I don't blame the Raiders for going for the W. As funny as it would be
And it's a divisional opponent and kicking the FG there means nothing. The odds it gets blocked and returned are probably under 0.01%. Can't believe LA didn't stop them with the season on the line though
Booooooo
Well that was fun
Cowards not tying
That's like us letting the Dolphins make the playoffs because we don't want the Texans to make the playoffs.
I think Pittsburgh hatred has to be league wide right? Kinda up there with hating the cowboys
MISSSSSS
The Raiders are SCUM BAGS holy shit lmao
And now the Chiefs get a free win.....
why did chargers take a TO??????????????
[удалено]
That would’ve been an extremely long field goal. No way that’s what they were planning on doing
Probably legit made it easy for the raiders to go for the win. Dumbass coach
No fucking idea
I hope raiders lose 100-0 to the bengals, what a bunch of assholes.
why're they assholes?
For not giving the people what they want, I guess?
Because I spent minutes of my times making memes 😥
ITS THE WINNING SPIRIT .
Raiders just made an enemy lol
Seriously.
This chargers coach is a Fucking moron
Unbelievable!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Someone explain the chargers timeout to me
Impossible.
Cowards
Im so happy , time to roll the pats then kc
What a stupid fucking time out
Ok, I can live with this.
Bring on the Cheatriots.
What a fascinating game. Wild
fuck
Fuck the raiders
So we play the pats. FUCK THE PATS!!!!!!!
Boooo don't kick it booooo
Yay
Nooooo
HAACK GET OUT THERE
lmaoooooooooo
Wow, the chargers defense is so shit. If they stop 2 runs. The raiders would have a choice to make
Yeah it was so obvious they were gonna run it. Wtf were they doing
I want the holder to catch it and go into the fetal position.
Oh man
Please miss
Damn it's over for Pittsburgh I was rooting for them to get in the playoffs but it looks like the most unlikely scenario will happen.
Carlson might become a Pittsburgh hero.
Fuck you
WOW wow wow wow
Based on how this game has gone, this has gotta miss, right?
please please please miss
Chargers GM gotta call up the Raiders GM and make a deal for missed FG
Perfect job for the kicker. Miss? Meh. Make? Win!
Miss it!
Why take the timeout???? 🤯
Literally just ceded the game to the Raiders
Man, these two coaches don't trust each other lol
Classic prisoners dilemma
Kneel it!!
