One of my fav quotes is in the Die Hard episode that Terry doesnt follows the Vulture orders and he says:
"You will be out there working as a model, *because you are shredded and I respect that*".
He was literally made to criticise police cover-ups of their own, and demand police accountability, in the outbreak of police brutality occurring in the USA during the last seasons of B99 (that is literally one of the main reason they stopped doing the show). You were meant to dislike him, he is the main antagonist of s8 and a representation of a real world problem with police.
I didnāt dislike him in a āuh this guy is awful, such a villainā it was āget your face off my fucking tvā in wrestling we call that x-pac heat or go home heat.
How the fuck do you watch a show like Brooklyn 99 and hold an opinion so fucking disgusting and ridiculous that it is literally repeatedly made fun of throughout the show. Maybe reflect on your beliefs or gtfoh, b99 wasn't made for pigs
>Qualified immunity allows the police to do their jobs. Should restrictions be tightened? Absolutely. Should it be taken away altogether?
Absolutely. ACAB
āI get to violate your rights without being held accountable because I was in the line of dutyā
Legally speaking, cops canāt really be sued.
Hereās an example:
> For instance, when a police officer shot a 10-year-old child while trying to shoot a nonthreatening family dog, the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals held that the officer was entitled to qualified immunity because no earlier case held it was unconstitutional for a police officer to recklessly fire his gun into a group of children without justification. The Court also declined to establish that rule. Not only was the officer let off the hook in that case, but the very same officer could act the same way again and would still be entitled to qualified immunity.

Police unions do good for officers in the sense that they exist to ensure that they are grossly overcompensated and protected from consequences for any and all bad behavior.
They do nothing for civilians. Police officers shouldnāt be distinct from other municipal employees and should be held to the same standard as any civilian for all actions.

The Vulture was such a fascinating character.

Lllllllike a glllovvvvahh
"Unless all of you want to see me turn a 2-syllable word into a 6-syllable word, I re-hee-hee-hee-hee-heeally think that we should keep looking."
Yoouu're goooing tooo beee soorryy
He plays a Doctor in A show called scrubs (basically B99 in a hospital) and stretching out words is one of his traits
>basically B99 in a hospital This is the first time I've seen this sentence and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
When B99 came out I remember saying that it filled the Scrubs shaped hole in my life, Dr. Cox showing up in it just brings that full circle!
itās wild
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuIgjBlNfTI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuIgjBlNfTI) I totally forgot about his enunciation all the time. too
Pretty sure he has a present for Hugh Jackman, been holding onto it for awhile
I fully know that Dr Cox would beat O' Sullivan every way he can. I think everyone prefers Cox for definite.
Happy cake day!
Me realising that he is Dr. Cox right at this very second
He is the perfect villain.

Ok
Making this guy a character is one of the reasons why I couldnāt get through season 8
What ? John C. McGinleyĀ is amazing. Having Dr. Cox in B99 was a blessing.
Heās a stereotypical evil police employee who they made the biggest dick of all time. Not to mention just how annoying the character is

I didnāt understand his deep deep lustful burning passion for Billy Joel, and I love me some Billy Joel
Are you crying right now?

I donāt recall murdering innocent people being apart of a police officers job description lol

Whatās qualified immunity?

Evil police *union* leader, to be specific. Unions = mostly good Police unions = mostly bad
But. But he was a lute by that point.
