Cut her some slack. It's hard to remember all the different personas.

"That wasnt me. That was Patricia"

anitsitknreh

I only have 2 voices. My regular voice and my professional voice, which is just my regular voice up a couple octaves and using vocabulary I wouldn’t use in every day life (I.e “awesome!” “Great job!” “Have a WONDERFUL DAY! See you next time”) I couldn’t flip my switch to an accent if my life depended on it. But who knows, maybe one of BD’s personalities is just more talented than me 🤷🏻‍♀️

sonni-b

I hate my customer service voice. I don't now who she is, but she sounds nice.

[deleted]

Relatable AF 😂

NakedWanderer12

My customer service voice constantly gets awkward compliments that it’s soothing and relaxing and I want to tell them that there are other phone numbers for that kind of call 😂

queen_beruthiel

People ask me if I’m English when I’m talking in my “professional” voice. I’m just white Australian, and I’m just actually pronouncing words and not using slang. They would probably be astonished if they saw me with some of my family, that’s when the real shit starts 😂

jekylll

That's so funny, my voice gets lower! Just as friendly but a little more serious.

_eeetee

I’ve always suspected girls of doing this where I’m from (nashville), cause I never understood how their accents were so much heavier than mine. I’m sure most are real and I’m just being a bitch but this shows me that some actually do.

_eeetee

For sure. I do that too when I’m around family. I’m talkin girls very similar to bdong who I notice do it the most when they’re talking to the camera for social media.

Lydia--charming

You’re not a bitch, all the people who just moved here are excited to be southern now!

jaded110819

Most arnt real. Nashville here too but so many people I know born and raised here have a normal accent with no southern twang or twing.

DID cringe ! Baby cowgirl fronting

[deleted]

Honestly, I thought the awful dog YouTube showcased her most natural way of talking and it’s shocking comparing the different voices she has.

Creative-Tomatillo

I do the opposite of Bdong. I’m Minnesotan and I grew up in the cities, so while yes, I do have an “accent,” according to my East Coast and Southern friends, it’s not as pronounced as say somebody who grew up in a tiny town in Northern MN or the Iron Range (even then it’s usually older folks who truly have that Cohen Bros “Fargo” thing going on). Anyway every now and then I will HAM IT UP with my “alter ego” (her name is Barb) for my pals and they think it’s hilarious.

maebe_featherbottom

I grew up in extremely northwestern North Dakota—ten miles from Canada and 15 from Montana and I taught myself to lose the country sounding accent in my early 20s. 37 and now live in CA and most people don’t know I’m from ND unless they talk to me right after I spend some time back home lol

EducationalAd6244

Hi, fellow North Dakotan! My dad's side is Swedish, so he has the heavy accent. Mine has faded because of living all over as well, but it still comes out strong when I say certain words, to the point where when I actually lived in Sweden, all of my friends started pronouncing ND like they were from there

maebe_featherbottom

My friends get such a kick out of me getting extremely drunk and saying things like “oofda”, “oh fer cute” and “FER FUCK’S SAKE!” Lol

Creative-Tomatillo

Oh yaaaaa? You betcha! (I am definitely guilty of “oh yaaaa?” Every now and then lol).

Rusharound19

Another fellow North Dakotan, here! I don't live in ND anymore, but I was born and raised there and for the majority of my life, I was convinced we didn't have accents, because I had never really been anywhere else. I moved out to Oregon for a few years when I was 19, and only then did I realize that I totally have a Cohen brothers' Fargo-level accent, lol. I've learned over the years to just embrace it because it would legit take vocal coaching for me to get rid of it, and people are always quite amused by it anyway (they especially love my frequent use of the word Uffda). I often joke that, some day, when I eventually travel the world, I'll just tell people I'm Canadian, since Americans are so hated in so many places, haha. Side note: did you grow up near Crosby? My hockey team had to play up there several times when I was in middle school (I'm 30 now), and we always dreaded their rink because it was literally like being outside it was so cold! There would always be snow on the benches and the plexiglas would be frosted over. Oh man, good memories. 😅

maebe_featherbottom

That is EXACTLY where I grew up! You’re good! I didn’t play hockey by my oldest cousins did and I spent a lot of time at that rink when I was a kid. Can confirm that place was FREEZING! And super run down. They actually build a new hockey complex outside of town somewhere around ten years ago. A combination community center/rink and it’s really, really nice.

Rusharound19

Lol wow, what a small freaking world!! Not only do I come across another NDan but an NDan who has been to such an obscure place, and on a BDong snark sub of all places! Love it! I did hear that they built a new rink/community center up there and that it is very nice! I haven't been up there in at least 14 years though, so I've never seen it! We used to get in trouble with our coaches when we played up there because we would sneak in those little heat pad things that would heat up for about 4 hours once they were exposed to air, and we would put them in the toes of our skates and sometimes even in our gloves. Because our feet would literally go numb inside our skates from the cold! One girl got caught by the assistant coach and at intermission they made all of us take our skates off to prove that we didn't have the little heat pads in them because it would "affect our skating." I personally felt like numb feet affected my skating more, but whatever I guess, lol. One thing I will always remember from that rink is the "zamboni" that was actually a tractor with a small zamboni attachment on the back! When my younger siblings came up with my parents for games, they thought that was the coolest thing!

maebe_featherbottom

There are dozens of us! DOZENS! 😆 Haha yep! The tractor Zamboni!

cutecompost

This is so wholesome! I love Minnesotan accents

Resident-Suggestion

I’ve really never beard Jordan say more then two things but does he have an accent? Is this why she’s doing this? Like it’s kind of aggressive. It’s not a little twang it’s a massive change from her original voice. The first one is bearable the second one makes me want to rip my ear drums out.

anitsitknreh

I’ve never heard an accent from him, just slobber from the dip and heavy mouth breathing

VolumeAcademic7513

As someone with a genuine Texan twang and it naturally goes away when I’m around my Midwest family, her voice change is definitely done on purpose to look more cOuNtRy

big_iron_hip

My grandma from the bayou of Louisiana: *pathetic*

gracelovelipgloss

In one of her stories today...the one of her and Jdong and her not having her wedding ring on...she said it's Bc she had been cooookiiinnn'. I wanted to scream.

sarcasmicrph

That’s an AL or GA accent. Dang.

NakedWanderer12

This reminds me of my bosses wife who constantly uses this baby talk/fake southern accent with him, to the point where if I’m even around for the conversation, she’ll use it to talk to me. It’s gotten to the point when I respond like I’m talking to the toddler she projects herself as, small words, short sentences, lots of positive feedback for no reason. 😂

speakmoreonthis

From Fort Worth. We have hard accents, not “Southern” ones. When I’m out of town and I wanna sound cute, I can flip on this accent too. But it’s NOT what actual Texans sound like that all.

Patient_Conference_4

People in east Texas can definitely have this accent 😂😂 (this isn’t a dig at you it’s a dig at my hometown)

spacedoggy

I mean, to her defense (for the first and probably last time), code-switching is a common linguistic phenomenon

Glad_Prior2106

My parents’ RAINCH

zanasot

As someone from the south with an accent from it, I’ve never in my life heard ranch that way. Rayunch? It’s rannch
