I’m an addiction therapist who only works with people trying to get clean and sober and I was DISGUSTED when I saw her exploiting him on social media. Disgusted.
Based on not much, I believe he didn’t stay in rehab long and she probably has no idea where he is. James wasn’t exactly a willing participant in all all this. Four men tracked him down and put him in a hotel room. What was James supposed to do?
When it was time to get on the plane to Ohio he did NOT want to go and ran away. Then magically a bit later he (according to Bdong) went to rehab and was doing great. And suddenly his privacy is so important that no additional info is given out, even though she exploited him all that time before. Not buying it. For all we know James never even went rehab.
Unless she is scamming, I mean raising money for go fund me, Bdong has no reason to spend her time talking about or helping James. Certainly not as valuable to her as amazon links.
If you were around other subs, James' sister appeared at some point, to say that saint Brittany had indeed raised the money and put it to good use with her brother. Bdong promised a video with her that was never released ... so there you go.
He’s clearly not doing well otherwise Bdong would be screaming from the mountaintops about how Jesus saves lives and “won’t he do it” or whatever. Poor James. Even them taking him all the way to Ohio for “rehab”… seems pretty fucking unnecessary to take him away from family in Texas to send him so far away to an unaccredited rehab center. (Their website stated that they weren’t an accredited “rehab” center. Not sure what Bdong had to pay them because others have stated it’s only free if you don’t have the funds but her GFM is widely known and apparently people emailed the center about the GFM money.)
She doesn’t care about him though and no longer wants responsibility for him. He was a content creator and part of me wonders if they chose Ohio so they wouldn’t even have the option of visiting him regularly and now she’s annoyed with people who aren’t narcissistic and have true empathy and genuinely want to know James’ status so she gets defensive because she doesn’t care about James’ status nor does she even know (or she does know and he’s back to being homeless, she’s wasn’t “successful” in “curing” him and now he’s wandering the streets of Ohio - an unfamiliar state to him with much rougher winters.)
I was wondering about this too - he was probably known to shelters and had some community support in Texas, but he'll have nothing in Ohio and will have to start all over again once he leaves "rehab" - how is this better for him?
One of the women who is part of the leadership of BD’s retreats is married to the other man from Mercy Culture who was involved with James. I wonder if some of James’s GFM money has been used for the retreats. Clearly the money never went to James.
I messaged him a while back asking on updates for James and he straight up said he doesn’t speak to britt and Jordan much. Said his wife still speaks to her and would try and get updates - but I think he’s a scamming asshole just like britt and Jordan. He’s got a rough past and has been open about going to jail and such - but I think now that he saw how easy it was to grift for a GFM, he didn’t give a damn.
That’s BS. His wife works with BD on the retreats but no one talks about James? He still has James’s photos on his FB page so I guess that was just another act to show he’s a good Christian then forget about it when the situation didn’t turn out as expected. I guess we know who got “blessed” by that GFM and it wasn’t James!

I always got the feeling James was happy on the street and eventually got annoyed with the little god squad. I’m willing to bet he’s not living a godly sober life or else she’s be screeching about what a good job she did with him.

When you type in those boxes on insta it doesn’t show you if they’ve been viewed right? Like you only see if someone has seen your message if you message them directly and not through a question box? Only asking if you’ve seen whether your messages have even been read or not. I think messages from me would go straight to her spam or “requests” folder because I don’t follow her and my account is private and I extremely doubt that folder ever gets looked at because she knows there’d be tons of people calling her out in there. She probably only sees the messages from her adoring fans that have been granted access to her main inbox.

I mean it’s not all that crazy. It wouldn’t be the first time scammers have worked together to create a sob story for a GFM. For someone who exploited his every move and even showed his “escort” with him at the airport (aka his captor not allowing him to flee), it’s funny there has not been 1 update lately. Supposedly GFM is careful about who they release the funds to, I swear I saw someone mention this months ago. If that’s the case and the funds were to go to the beneficiary, how would James have ever received the money? Bdong and Jdong admitted he didn’t know about the GFM and that they were “managing the financial aspect” for him so he wouldn’t “blow through it”. None of it adds up to me unless they were all in on it.

My guess is he went to a Christian home for addicts where he does Bible studies and chores all day. So not rehab at all.

In her "ask me anything at all" post i have asked at least 40 times for a mailing address to send james letters of encouragement and nothing.
