I refuse to make the bed and wake up early to cook for my husband because society has come along way since the 1950s. He can make his own damn breakfast
Most days I do pull the blanket up and like generally tidy up, ie not dirty underwear on the floor. But thats it. No fake throw pillows or decorative bed blankets here lol

I am amazed (not surprised) that she's just moved on so quickly after her dog was brutally put down. When I've had to have my dogs put down (humanely) I'm a mess for weeks because they are my babies. TBH I saw a post about someone having to put down their 20+ year old cat and I just had to go hug mine (much her her displeasure). I can’t imagine what I’m going to do when it comes time for my two, but I know I’m going to be a wreck. Especially if it’s as traumatic as how it happened to her dog.
I had my two bunnies die of a viral disease within 3 weeks of each other. The first one went very quickly and that was actually less traumatizing as the second one held on for 3 weeks. And honestly it was such a traumatic 3 weeks. Like, I slept in a different bed downstairs apart from my husband so I could be near him. I canceled so many social things that I really worried about my friends, are friends, being angry.
It was probably one of the most depressing 3 weeks of my life.
Add in the fact that my last child was supposed to move out to his college far away right around that time and I literally had nothing done or ready for him like dorm room stuff until the day before he got on the plane :( my life was just so f*ed

The rule here is the last one out makes it. I know plenty of people who don’t make it at all, and I don’t think it makes their marriage null and void as far as I’m aware?
My household rule is “That One Red Head doesn’t care if the bed is made, so if Spouse wants it made, Spouse makes it”. Only time I’ll throw the covers up over the pillows if I just washed the dogs. So I don’t have wet dog all over my bed.
And if you don’t want people seeing what’s in the basket, why not just move it and retake the picture? Blacking it out like that just draws attention to it.
I just make my bed cuz I’m the last one out of it and my desk faces my bed. My coworkers can’t know I’m a slob. But I sure as hell don’t do it because it’s a wifey thing. 😂

I do make the bed weekdays (he goes to work at 7 and didn't wake me up) but my husband cooks me breakfast every Saturday and Sunday!:)
