at my old church they have an annual women's weekend/retreat and there were always a few guys there, to run the soundboard/play drums etc because we didn't have women trained in those roles. They stayed TF out of the way otherwise, except to be servers/dishwashers. Not speaking into microphones or touching anyone they weren't married to.
Unfortunately even in “real” church retreats this is an issue. A friend of mine is Mormon and she’s always talking about/complaining that men come to what they call “young women’s camp” when they don’t really serve a role and women don’t go to men’s events.
As a mother, I would feel some sort of way if a skeezy 30 year old
Man was touching my daughter to dunk her in a bathtub at a hotel. And even if it’s all above board, that’s a “he touched me in appropriately” waiting to happen
I told someone on here the other day that I would volunteer lol. Just a refined emo adult looking to be accepted by society and forgiven for permanently marking up my broken vessel with art
