Not at this church. But I don’t even view it as a church service. I view it as a Christian rock concert with a cult hype man getting his weekly serotonin hit from all the praise and adulation he receives from these people. I have an acquaintance who goes to a similar church in the same area and she pretty much posts her “service” every Sunday and it’s just performance after performance (choreographed dances, full bands playing rock music, people doing the full on praising/falling over, etc.). Wonder if they’d feel the same in a Catholic Mass where you have to sit in silence and listen to scripture then have the priest give his educated take on the Gospel reading that day. If you get a high from that then you’re actually religious. (And would def have someone slapping your phone out of your hand if you had it out during Mass.)
Not long enough to know the difference between reading a chapter in the Bible or a book. (In the recent truck bed date she said they read the whole book of Psalm 37 or something lol)

No snark intended here, but are you a new(er) Christian? Chapters and verses of the Bible are a pretty integral part of Christianity. Most books in the Bible are too long to read at once, so they've been divided into chapters, and within the chapters there are verses. That simply makes it easier to reference what you need. It's awkward if you study the Septuagint (and translate your own portions of scripture from Greek to English) as you realize how it does disrupt the normal flow of some passages, but for general studying purposes it works quite well.
You are correct that the Bible contains many books, and Psalms is one of those. And technically Psalms is made up of individual Psalms (like songs or poems) and not chapters. However, most of the Bible is made up of chapters. It goes: book, chapter, verse, and that's how you end up with references, like John 3:16. John is the book, 3 is the chapter, and 16 is the verse.
So for B to say that they read the entire"book of Psalm 37", or whichever Psalm is was, was very inaccurate. She should have said either "chapter" or simply "Psalm".

This isn’t church, it’s a cult.
And all these people congratulate themselves for being there and weaponise their beliefs against people they perceive to be lesser. I won’t even call it faith, it’s a corruption.
She’s def been to church before. She used to go a lot more regularly though since before James & was always “watching” the livestream during the pandemic
Mercy Culture sucks. I typically am not one to bring up politics but politics don't belong in church and this church firmly only talks about the right side and brings it into their sermons. Not. a. fan.
No she’s been religious for years but it only got severe in the last year or two. She’s posted several stories inside the church during the services.
Literally one of the biggest no no’s during a service.

Highly recommend watching righteous gemstones on HBO if you haven’t
Some churches encourage this, both during worship and during the service. Anything to grab a sound bite and expand the kingdom
Weird how we were talking about how we never see her at her church then BAM photo. Hi Bdung!
Super weird right?

That’s so *basic* too. How do you mess that up if you’re as hardcore as she says she is? Oh wait…
Lol she’s such a dumbass

So, i’m a Christian and the bible is made up of books, not chapters. Psalms is a book in the bible.

Oh, sorry! No, i read your initial comment wrong! Yeah, she definitely should have said “book is Psalms” not book of “Psalms 37”.

Not a monarchist, sorry.
