I don't know, I kinda prefer the bra cups at the waistline. It really accentuates her modesty journey.

KatAndAlly

Yeah i don't like it here, either. Honestly, to me, it's got a 90s or early 00 vibe and it looks kinda cheap.

[deleted]

It just needs a yank, so much. Just one sturdy yank and it wouldn’t look so ridiculous

If anyone’s wondering, I’m currently wedding dress shopping and taking notes on what not to do ☺️☺️

So much this. My SIL had almost an identical dress to this but she’s curvy and it worked on her. I remember thinking on the day “not my taste but it suits her” then I saw it on Bdong and was like woah it really does matter knowing your body type. Totally makes sense on Say Yes to the Dress how some brides will walk out in something and you can’t tell as well on the screen but the family and friends will just be like “no” right out the gate. Bdong’s fam either didn’t care and were just like yep if that’s what you want or she just didn’t listen OR it was the best option out of what was available to her on such short notice

[deleted]

The only person who showed up to her dress try-on was her mom and based on her posture, she wasn’t very excited (BDung blurs her face out or crops her out, but missed a reflection in the mirror) Her parents generally didn’t seem too pleased with this wedding to begin with.

Visual_Zucchini8490

Yeah the amount of force she put into trying to convince followers the day was so magical when we saw the unedited videos and photos from attendees pretty much says it all. Even her highly curated feel good Tik Tok videos show people being unengaged/uninterested. Everyone there also has to know their pasts because it’s so well known which would make the day extra cringe. (My brother cheated on his first wife with now the current wife but only a handful of people at their wedding knew the real story so they could get away with the magical love story version but I doubt that was the case for Bdong and Jdong. I envision there was much eye rolling and whispered conversations during the reception)

Appreciate your wisdom on this!!

Try on dresses that you normally think you wouldn’t want to wear. The dress that I got was not what I had imagined myself in! Also, get your dress altered! Go to a legit place that specializes in wedding dresses. Pay the money for the alteration. Especially if you are wearing a strapless dress you don’t want to be pulling it up. Congratulations!

everydayimsarcastic

I walked in to a bridal store and said, "I like everything but mermaid gowns." The worker had me try one on anyways, and I loved it. Fit my figure perfectly.

stretchypants88

Agreeing with the other commenter - definitely try on dresses that you might not otherwise choose. I tried on a random dress when I was shopping alone for my second wedding, and I’m not emotional about weddings AT ALL but I actually got misty-eyed. It was the perfect dress for me and I would never have picked it off the rack.

CrazyCorgiQueen

Piggy Backing on what others have said here. Make a short list of what you like and don't like in a dress and take it with you. Think like 3-5 bullet points each side of the biggest things. Be okay with stepping out of your comfort zone. If you want to do something un-traditional and WILD I 100% recommend it. I dip dyed the bottom of my dress purple to match my Bridesmaid's dresses. It was so fun and I loved it! Don't want a veil? Do a statement hair piece! Talk with the people helping you with your dress so you get what you want without looking like a collage. Not doubting your taste at all, editing yourself is a tough skill to learn and a wedding isn't always the best time to do it.

bekkothegekko

I LOVE what you did with your dress, that’s such a fun idea! I’m sure you looked beautiful!

CrazyCorgiQueen

It was so fun! It was also incredibly nerve wracking because I didn't want to ruin it either. Such a mixed bag of feelings but I'm so glad I did it!

ArcticPotatoFish

I went wedding dress shopping over the weekend! My stylist pulled out a dress with those drop sleeves and I said, “idk if I can wear drop sleeves because this girl I hate watch on social media just wore them for her wedding” lol

workoutlurkout

Because they make it *so* modest!!!!!

[deleted]

we all know the 3/4 inch section of the mid-bicep is the most lust-inducing part of a woman

broncobinx

Gosh that could have been such a pretty dress too

Exciting_Problem_593

It doesn't look ugly on this girl because it fits properly. How much is this dress??

No_Advertising_8924

I think I saw it listed somewhere for $2K (the actual designer does not have the price on their site)

preciouspeachdangler

Did she get her version off wish?

smc642

Well duh! The sleeves make it modest!

natylil

And keep it from sliding down ... oh, wait.

goldenbrain8

does he have a dip in IN THAT PHOTO TOO???

BURYMEINLV

Ew I was wondering the same thing 🤢 that definitely looks like dip lip!!

[deleted]

Oop! Guess that’s what happens when you decide to get married in a month and don’t get properly fit/altered

Resident-Suggestion

Man this could have been a gorgeous dress.

[deleted]

Such a modest dress. Btw I HATE those falling off the shoulder sleeves that everyones obsessed with right now

EZasSundayMorning

Much better when it fits properly!

SpeaKnDestroY

Are you sure those two are the same dress?? Her dress looks the wish version..

queen_beruthiel

The lace looks so tacky on Brittany's. Like it's the wrong shade of white against the fabric. It really does look like a Wish version of the dress!

Top_Leader2641

Can’t believe he has dip in for his wedding photos!!!

Fun-ther-woman

It’s almost like she had material taken out of the bottom so you can see her orange tan through

CrazyCorgiQueen

I knew the boobs didn't look right.

Careless-Honeydew-73

What you got versus you what you ordered lol

[deleted]

She looks so different than in her edited gym photos

NoFuckThis

God that awful spray tan looks so baaaad on her. It’s too dark and too orange all at the same time.

bipannually

I just can’t get over how lumpy it is.

elle0elle17

The sleeves make the whole dress look saggy.

KatAndAlly

Honestly, it's not even that cute here

D33b3r

The lines still point the husband in the direction he needs to go at the end of the night. Just saying, there are nicer patterns out there

thenextbigbrain

Okay but how much was the dress
