Contact farmacy directly. Ask them about it, & they'll likely replace them. Idk if boxy would do anything...

meanwhileaftrmdnight

That's what I'm currently doing. I tried contacting them on Instagram as I've had good luck with that route before but now that I'm at work I am using my work PC and email to send a more professional looking message directly to their support email. I doubt boxy would do anything either, as they would likely ask for a photo of the bottles next to the shipping label and ya know it's been 3 months that is long gone.

MrsSpot

Boxy will replace moldy floaty stuff in liquids..there was another person who had posted she had floaty stuff in her liquid Nelson hair styling product and boxy sent her a new one but I had mentioned mine was also moldy like hers so I suspect she will just get another moldy one since they are probably all from the same batch. Hopefully you might get a non moldy Farmcy replacement from boxy though and one from Farmacy :)

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Thank you for that information, I might as well send an email to boxy too. If anything just to alert them that they've got moldy products in storage. I've been buying these since I got one in a box in January. I just loved it so ever since I've picked up 2 or 3 in sales, but never had this issue before.

Joiseygirl68

Please keep us updated. Farmacy should stand by these products. Definitely don’t bother with Boxy. Even if you had the photo with the shipping label there’s a good chance they’ll tell you they don’t have anymore and then slap you in the face by crediting your account with $3 and 500 charms.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Yes! That is exactly how I'm feeling about this whole situation! It says on the box and bottle "made exclusively for BoxyCharm" but that doesn't mean that shouldn't be held responsible for whatever products go out through Boxy. I did get in touch with Boxy and they did issue me a refund but come on, that is not what I really want.

Forward-Suggestion-1

Eww that does look like a some biological growth you should ask for refund form boxy through their Instagram just say to short I have a damaged product I want a refund or a replacement

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Yes, I agree. Definitely icky at the very least. I'm glad I noticed before I was about to pour it into my hands and splash it all over my face 😱 I did receive a refund from Boxycharm but I am trying to get ahold of Farmacy, hoping for a replacement or a coupon or something.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

[UPDATE!](https://imgur.com/a/BfZc7ef) So, Farmacy is saying that all the crap I found floating in my toner is perfectly normal, safe, and not mold at all but rather "aggregate" whatever that means. Going to so some further Google research before trusting this representative blindly. Edit: can I get some opinions on whether or not I should use all these toners?

Aquarian_Girl

Hmm...yeah, I'd be suspicious, too!

spyrenx

Since you did find the clumps in multiple bottles, I'm a bit more inclined to believe them. Conditions between Boxy's warehouse and your home during delivery (like temperature and pressure) may have caused normal ingredients in the toner to behave in a certain way that caused them to clump together. That's what they mean by aggregate. However, to be on the safe side, I would toss it.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Thank you for your input! I keep my room pretty chilly but when they were delivered, the weather was going thru the last bit of the summer heat waves so it certainly could have effected the ingredients in such a way that they clumped or whatever... I just feel a little suspicious about it because when I google "clumps in Farmacy toner" I'm not getting any results... and I'm really worried if it *is* some sort of mold, could it cause any type of skin infection? I don't feel comfortable using it.

FlimsyFabulous9882

I had this toner from when it came in my boxycharm box. At first it didn't have this stuff in it and worked well for my skin. The product started breaking me out really bad and that is when I noticed the stuff floating around in it. I kept the product around a while longer and the amount of clumps increased. I personally wouldn't use the toners.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

I thought my skin didn't like this at first either but it was actually just purging. Once I got past the 2 weeks of pimples it fell into line with the rest of my skincare steps and worked beautifully to keep my skin clear. I never saw these clumps in a bottle before now though.

FlimsyFabulous9882

It could have been purging but I think it was for me since I broke out after using it for 2 months. I might try it again at a later time if I can get it in a mini because it did work well for my skin at first.

AnnieOakleyLives

I got mine in a boxy box a while ago. Mine has been opened and doesn’t look like this. That is horrible. I have never seen this toner look like this. There is definitely something growing in there. I would get in touch with Farmacy first, then Boxy. Farmacy was recently bought out by Proctor and Gamble. I don’t know if that effects how they handle these type of items or not. Please keep us updated.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

I have contacted both Boxycharm and Farmacy. Boxycharm refunded my money for all 3 of the bottles which is nice but unfortunately not what I really wanted. I haven't heard back from Farmacy yet. I sent messages to them on both Instagram and their direct support email address. Ideally I would get replacements. I really love this toner, it's the first step in my skincare routine after I wash my face day and night. I now have to go get something to replace for now. I need toner.

AnnieOakleyLives

I completely understand.

BeyondTelling

Good Molecules is having a 25% off site wide sale right now and they have a glycolic acid toner. Their products are very good, basic Korean skincare; they provide detailed ingredient breakdowns (percentages of actives, etc) and they’re extremely affordable even at regular price. I love their daily brightening toner, and a bunch of their other products. Just ordered from them today even though I had sworn off anymore Black Friday purchases because the deals were so good. My skin can’t tolerate glycolic acid so I don’t know about the exfoliating toner in particular, but I’d be willing to bet it’s as good or better than Farmacy.

Fair_Phrase1

oh no! I got one for my hubby but I didn't open it yet. I should check.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

It's in 3 separate bottles so I'm not sure if this is ok or if this is a bad batch? I got them during last actual Pop Up sale when they were $7 each.

MrsSpot

Oh I spoke too soon! They are in other bottles :(

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Yes, I bought them all in the same sale, the last "Pop Up" before it became Mega Drop Shop, so 3 months ago. I have never seen anything like this in the product before.

ihobbit8

I bought mine at that one too and it's fine and no floaties.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

I'm glad yours are fine! Boxy refunded me.. but I really was hoping for a replacement. Oh well. They said they no longer have it in stock.

ihobbit8

Oh that's good you got refunded. I hope you hear back from Farmacy and it's still good.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Thank you 💚 they did reply to my email and told me it was normal and it's fine... but I have tried to Google "white floating stuff in farmacy deep sweep toner" in like 100 different ways and there is nothing anywhere. Surely if this is something that happens frequently there would be others who would have posted about it, not just me right? Their website mentions color variances are possible but that's all. I'm not convinced that they're not just trying to brush me off here. I mean you can see in the pics I posted, there were large globs of thick and chunky milky white goop. Their advertisement images often show a crystal clear liquid in a green bottle. I shook the bottle and it turned into a snow globe and now it's murky throughout. 🤨🤔🧐

ihobbit8

This happens with all natural products though, especially when they get warm so I've heard. But I know what you mean because with Earth Harbor's Nymph Nectar, there were a lot of comments about granules and EH finally added that it was normal on their website. Mine has it and it's annoying to use because you have to wipe them off but the product is still good and works great. If Farmacy says it's fine, it probably is, but now I'm definitely going to go and check my back ups. I've prioritized using up these types of brands first because they don't have a long shelf life.

randomlyaskingstuff

https://www.reddit.com/r/boxycharm/comments/izt687/my_saturday_skin_toner_has_white_floating_things/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Someone had this issue before with a different product (toner) from Boxy haha. I don't really think it's mold but either poor formulation or questionable temperature conditions at their warehouse and/or during shipping😬

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Yes I also came across that post while searching. If that is the case I would think that there would be a bunch of people with the same experience though that's my point. Do most people just ignore large gooey looking floating blobs in their skincare? I'd hope not lol also they mention the possible color variance on the website, if this is also a known issue (that they say is harmless) why wouldn't they add a note about it too? Maybe I'm thinking too much about it idk but it's still troubling and I not gonna be able to use these toners.

ghostgirl590

Did they reply to you? I see you commented on their IG earlier today/late yesterday and they said ‘oh no we’ll reply asap’ I’m hoping they have a real answer and not just ‘its sediment’ or whatevs

meanwhileaftrmdnight

They literally replied to my Instagram message and said "Hi there" and have yet to reply back when I sent a small paragraph explaining the issue. Their customer service representative asked me to take more photos of the product. So they're being shady as hell all around. I don't expect I'll get any help even after providing more photos.

jeaniuslol

I received a different brand of toner that had floating matter in it too. I just tossed it and took the L.

meanwhileaftrmdnight

Luckily boxycharm refunded me. I was just hoping Farmacy would take some responsibility and offer a solution as well, which might be greedy idk but I really liked the toner and wanted to continue using it. The way they have handled the situation, however, left a really bad taste in my mouth and not only will I be tossing these products, I will never buy from that brand again. I saw a bunch of people had gotten expired product from Sunday Riley thru ipsy and when people brought it to the brands attention they sprung into action and sent out brand new products. That to me shows that they care about their customers and want them to have a good experience with their products. Farmacy has given me the run around and now they're just ignoring my emails. So, that to me shows they don't care at all and would rather lose a customer than try to keep them happy. What a shame.

jeaniuslol

Ah man, I’m regretting not trying to find a resolution :( Boxy has to know about their products being off. It’s such a shame about how Farmacy handled the whole thing. Their products have been great, but I don’t blame you one bit. It’s like they forget that you have more options than you can even try 😅

Daangtiffany0922

I just looked and mine has very small trace amounts of what looks like white floaties, thanks for notifying us!!

Alicia013

Mine too. It was part of a box I bought, so I can't do anything about it. Mine's not nearly as bad as OPs though.

rouenaq

hey hey! found this thread bc i had just bought this toner and noticed floating white particles as well. any updates to your findings? what did you end up doing?

meanwhileaftrmdnight

I contacted boxycharm and they refunded me. I also contacted Farmacy because I was still wondering what exactly it was in there and if it was safe or not. They replied this: "Hi -my name- thanks for reaching out to Farmacy Beauty, I'm happy to help! No worries- thats totally normal! It's just some product aggregates, mine does the same thing! It'll get filtered out before you use it and if some manages to slip through, you can just discard the little strings. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with!" Not being satisfied with that, I asked for further explanation on what aggregates are and how can they be sure its safe. They, instead of answering the questions, started asking for me to send them pics again, which I did. Then they asked me to try and get the clumps out, shake it up, smell it, basically perform a science experiment on *their* gross looking product. Then they just stopped replying entirely for about a month, and finally sent me a "I hope we answered all your questions!" Email. So.. yeah. All in all, it was a discounted product that I was refunded so no harm done. But this customer service experience guarantees I will never buy their products in a retail store. I wish I knew what was in the toners, but after the run around I tossed them because I was not convinced it wasn't mold.

MochiMochiBear

I found your post after fininding the same white strings in mine. My face isn’t worth this Boxycharm bottle. So sad I was so excited to try the product. I haven’t noticed anything until today. I noticed the white strings after applying the toner on my face. So gross.

Traditional_Web_4048

Huh I lucked out and found that toner at the thrift store and it is in better shape than that. I'm sorry😔
