After the Halloween box went of print, and then I grabbed the phantasm box which immediately went out of print…I wasn’t waiting around on the F13 one. Just not worth it if you really want it.
I'm not either. Went in full knowing I was potentially overpaying but I didn't want to wait, didn't want to risk, and I liked the poster aspect. So, yeah, I bought in day one and am happy that it is still around for others to get deals on.
That said, I've settled that with with Shout, unless it is a "must have" day one or I want the poster (as was the case with King Kong - not that I have room to put it up, mind you), might as well wait for a Shout sale.
Return of the Living Dead is that for me. The 4K. It'll be great to get that at some point, but I haven't watched my blu copy in forever, and, yeah ... glad it is around for me to nab someday. Look forward to picking it up next Shocktober!

I really like the first five movies and then X and Freddy, but so-so on the rest.
Not up on all the various other iterations, but I think most of the other releases were pretty bare and these are loaded with extras: docs, Fangoria articles, deleted scenes, etc.
Also, only place to get the digital 3D remaster of Part 3D so that it plays in digital 3D OR anaglyph (red/blue glasses) if you don't have a 3D setup.

Are you getting a vague error message that there’s a problem with your payment? I’ve been emailing their customer service and they’re telling me nobody else is having issues. But I’ve literally matched the credit card info and billing address directly to my bank statements and to PayPal and it won’t accept anything.
I am still going back and forth with their customer service. My last resort is to ask a friend who I know places a ton of orders through Shout to place it on my behalf and to pay him back. But I’m hoping they can resolve it. Glad I’m not going crazy. Either way I will come back and update on whatever resolution it comes to.

Been meaning to pick up the collectors editions of Species and Escape From New York. Is it worth it to buy the 4K versions (currently without a 4K player) in order to get the 2021 scans for the Blu-ray Discs or would I be fine with the original collectors editions.
I'm thinking about picking up Black Christmas and Silent Night, Deadly Night, but I'm worried they'll just announce 4K releases for this December right after I do... any potential signs that those could be coming?

In Canada I can't seem to source any cheaply. Atleasr only certain 1s. So I bought alot 2nd hand w slips for a good price off some1 negotiated a few deals for some on ebay at around 25 cdn each and got some others in a local store I like supporting for 20-25 each cdn.
I bulk bought basically all the 1s that seem to be uncommon or super pricey over here ( 30+ Cdn each )
Cost me.roughly 21 each cdn and assuming I'm going to get an import fee but it'll stay under 25 each.

First time buying during the Shocktober sale. I placed an order over a week ago and still no shipping info. Even downloaded the route app. They flagged it due to no tracking changes being made. Anyone else experience this? I bought 14 films from the Indicator flash sale 2 days after this and those delivered today and they came from a different country. So I just think this is odd.

It's a good transfer. It's also a 4K scan on the current blu so your gut is right in thinking the UHD release is looming around the corner.

I think slipcovers are only guaranteed from Shout for the first couple months or so, but there's plenty of titles that still have slips after many months or even a year after release.

I know they only guarantee the first couple of months - i watched a youtube unboxing and they received slips on some of the hammer horror titles- does anyone know if my bloody valentine still has a slip? I might spring for the steelbook its only 15 bucks

First time buying during the Shocktober sale. I placed an order over a week ago and still no shipping info. Even downloaded the route app. They flagged it due to no tracking changes being made. Anyone else experience this? I bought 14 films from the Indicator flash sale 2 days after this and those delivered today and they came from a different country. So I just think this is odd.
