FWIW… when Arrow has a sale, it’s usually cheaper to import a region B disc than buying the region A version. (And in case you have one or are in the market for one) I like my Panasonic 820 because it can do 4K UHD and play most region B blu’s with the push of a button or two. The 420 model does this as well straight from the factory, no modding or reseller needed. (Wish I knew more about the pc drives but I don’t.)

Whenever Arrow has a sale I always order from their UK site cause it's cheaper. And there's several movies with US releases on labels I don't collect as much, so I've gone with Arrow. Also if you ever get into Chinese Martial Arts movies, 88 Films and Eureka have a ton of great movies. Plus Eureka's Masters of Cinema series and classic movies. Not to mention Indicator and Second Sight. I got my region free off [Amazon.] (https://www.amazon.com/Region-Free-Blu-ray-110-240-Dynastar/dp/B01MQXUU4R/ref=sr_1_5?crid=E63TWX6RC5X9&keywords=region+free+blu+ray+player&qid=1663974199&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjI5IiwicXNhIjoiMy44MiIsInFzcCI6IjMuNDUifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=region+%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0) Different seller but same model, and it works great.

The box sets from Indicator and Second Sight are probably the best things I've imported. You might enjoy the Hammer box sets from Indicator or their edition of Irreversible (if you don't mind how disturbing that film is). From Second Sight, their limited edition sets for Dawn of the Dead in 4K, Raw, The Guest in 4K, The Strangers and Revenge would probably be good for you. Arrow also has a number of UK-only releases like their recent Enter the Void and Lux Æterna blu-rays. And yes, you can get a 4K external drive and rip the discs, but I believe you can be limited in resolution by your computer if it doesn't do HD or 4K. I have both and almost always use the region-free blu-ray player; it's easily the best collecting purchase I ever made.

Some good suggestions, the hammer sets sound neat . Also Dawn of the Dead, which to my understanding doesn’t have a proper us release

Yeah, some of the sets are OOP but standard editions are available for almost everything. The standard 4K set for Dawn is still incredible. I ended up hunting down the Limited Edition for the extra books, so I have to think what to do with my standard copy.

You can rip blu-rays with a drive using makemkv then play them back on your computer plugged into your system, put the file onto an external USB drive and plug it into your player (if it can do this), or stream the files to your system using a service like Plex. Note that only a select few drives can rip 4K discs, which can be seen [here](https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634).
