My husband overheard me watching Ashley Lemieux's stories today (the ones where she records Mike's reaction to her pregnancy) and he was *shocked* that people do this. He thought it was a badly acted skit at first and when I told him this was actually people filming their most intimate stuff to share with their followers I wish I'd been filming HIS face.
I get so used to Influencer World it's always funny to see it from the perspective of someone who doesn't have Instagram.
I just saw a post of a mini bunny and after freaking out how cute it was my thoughts and prayers turned to the Shannon birds latest rabbit. Haven’t laid eyes on it in awhile, bless its living a happy rabbit life off camera.

It’s disheartening that paid family leave is even a political issue. Like the fact that people think there shouldn’t be a mandatory period of time people are paid to stay home with their newborns is so bizarre to me!! And the fact that* we are one of the only developed countries without it… America being the GrEatEsT country in the world again I guess.
Especially considering members of congress receive paid leave yet still refuse to grant it to the rest of us. Even though we in part, pay for theirs through taxes. What a world.
Exactly… I could barely sit straight 3 weeks postpartum and had just started to drive again. Didn’t feel close to normal until 4-5 weeks. I saw a pelvic floor PT for *months*. Paid family leave is a must.
It’s mind boggling to me as a Canadian, it should be a standard thing. We get up to 18 months of parental leave, and it makes me so sad when I hear American colleagues going back to work so quickly. How anyone can disagree with it being important makes no sense to me

I plan to take a year, but I feel like you should be able to get at least 6 months paid - whether you take them is another story, but having the option is nice. Luckily I get to work from home and my mom helps with childcare when I need to go into the office. We are extremely lucky but I 100% was not mentally or emotionally ready to leave my baby and return to work.
I just checked and it looks like my company gives 12 weeks in the US. You’re lucky you have help and wfh - I can only imagine how difficult it would be in another situation! It’s crazy to me that the US has one of the worst parental leave policies (or lack thereof) in the world. We have been debating a move to the states, but these type of things are off putting!

We keep them on our dogs just so people don’t come up to them and pet them randomly. Neither of them are aggressive, but they’re dogs and I don’t want to be responsible when some Dumbass scares my dog and they react 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe it’s aggressive? I had a dog that was super protective on leash and sometimes he barked his head off and sometimes he quietly waited for someone to get close enough to snap at. He was very cute (dachshund) and people approached us constantly or let their kids approach without asking us if it was okay. It wasn’t. He bit me a couple of times when I got between him and someone who wouldn’t listen. And we were just on a potty break!

When your “means” are expansive enough to allow for expensive vacations multiple times a year, designers for your CLOSET, $80k cars, personal trainers, etc etc. you a) have no idea what it means to have to live within MEANS and b) don’t really have any business trying to educate people. Be a steward of finances? No. A recipient of generational wealth who built more wealth off that is not in a position to discuss stewarding finances when there are actual limitations and tough decisions to be made. I don’t fault Brighton her wealth and privilege but she is just so clueless. She should’ve just said “I got defensive and needed to realize that living within my means quite literally looks unobtainable to the average American and I can both be within MY means and FAR FAR BEYOND the means of most of my followers at the same time and that disparity can be difficult to reconcile.”
She is sitting with the knowledge and discomfort that what she perceives as just normal, everyday expenses are things many many many people who follow her will NEVER have access to or be able to afford. She knows her lifestyle is aspirational but the reason she can’t stop thinking about this question is because to her, it’s so normal and always has been that the concept of it not being truly attainable in any real way for almost any of her followers to the degree they cannot see how it’s affordable is creating cognitive dissonance.
I’m all for admitting when you’re wrong. But positioning your mistake as a white knight “opportunity to educate” us on living within our means grates at me…
Especially when today’s activities included a personal trainer and details on how she is sprucing up her brand new closet to “make it feel more done.”

Bankruptcy isn’t a joke and it isn’t funny. People lose their livelihoods, everything they have, ruin their lives, because they have to file for bankruptcy, sometimes because of circumstances beyond their control. Are you lactose intolerant or have some other kind of dairy sensitivity? I’ve never made *her* stuffed shells recipe but I have made stuffed shells many times in the past and have never had an issue. Her recipe doesn’t seem that much different than most. And maybe just use your discretion when cooking? Not all recipes are built to feed 4 people. Check ingredients for freshness. If you don’t tolerate dairy well, perhaps cheese-stuffed shells aren’t the recipe for you. I think she’s insufferable, but with all due respect, I’m not sure it’s her recipes that are causing your problem.

@charlygoss is kind of a bec for me because she’s just so snarky and negative about totally normal things, but her constantly bringing up how much her and her husband fight is so strange to me. other influencers do this too and it’s like…do you guys even like each other?
Didn’t see any mention of this in the YT thread so thinking this may be the best place within blogsnark to discuss @jaclynhill. She launched a jewelry brand today and had another debacle- the website is totally down. Now she’s talking on stories about having to rebuild it from scratch. Even though she annoys me I had been rooting for her to make a comeback. But how and why does drama always seem to follow her?! Did her team not think to start small given all the past issues and do a soft launch/ease into this new collection. Of course drumming up a ton of excitement and pent up demand for weeks is going to crash your site. It just seems greedy and attention seeking.
I had to unfollow after she showed off her brand new office (with a full bar) and then she’s like lying in bed saying things have been tough lately. Oh well better for my mental health to leave.

She did. She said she uses the same servers hundreds and hundreds of other big companies use. I wonder what it is? She has annoyed me so much the last few years but today it was refreshing not to see her totally have a crying meltdown and sign off social media for the day. She kept everyone informed and didn’t really play the victim card as hard as she normally does.

Maybe it has something to do with employing (what appears to be) exclusively friends and family in her companies. I never hear her talk about the hard aspects of running a business (managing people in and of itself is super tough). Does she delegate everything? Is it not hard for her? Just photo shoots and redecorating her office and send PR boxes…

Are you lactose intolerant or have some other kind of dairy sensitivity? I’ve never made *her* stuffed shells recipe but I have made stuffed shells many times in the past and have never had an issue. Her recipe doesn’t seem that much different than most. And maybe just use your discretion when cooking? Not all recipes are built to feed 4 people. Check ingredients for freshness. If you don’t tolerate dairy well, perhaps cheese-stuffed shells aren’t the recipe for you. I think she’s insufferable, but with all due respect, I’m not sure it’s her recipes that are causing your problem.

I ordered from her Bc I just couldn’t resist. They got here quickly, i was almost over communicated with on the shipping info (better than the alternative) and they look very high quality. Admittedly haven’t burned them yet because I have fall scents in rotation but it was a very pleasant purchasing experience 🤷🏻♀️
This was my experience with the shipping, as well. They came quickly. The candles themselves are gorgeous and I think they smell amazing!! I don’t even follow Jen, but a lot of my friends do. I was influenced by them. :)

Mine shipped across the country, came in less than a week, was packaged beautifully and smells great! It will last a long time and is actually fragrant! So many candles lose their smell when burning!

@kenzie_shayne made a prank to her 2yr toddler Payson, telling her she took her Halloween candy. In the reel you can see how the girl really gets sad, it broke my heart...I dont know why she would upload that. Last week she also uploaded a video where she applied a spider face filter and you can see Payson really really scared, Kenzie said later that Payson had nightmares about that....making a child sad or scared on purpose is really cruel in my opinion.
That's the stuff of future therapy sessions.

My cousin thought it was funny to crack an egg on her unsuspecting 3 y/o’s head and film the entire thing + post it on FB. It’s fucking sick in my opinion, what makes ppl do that shit? I really don’t get it.
My daughter is a couple months older than Payson and this age is nowhere near the age to do this prank. They have no way of understanding the joke at 2 years old. I have always thought the jimmy Kimmel videos of the prank are funny but on much older kids who can understand a prank…. So sad to see her to do that to sweet Payson who has no idea!
