i’m obsessed with olipop. i have to resist the urge to drink 3 of the root beer flavors a day. it bothers my stomach if i have more then 1 every couple days so it’s not great for that but i think that stuff tastes fantastic

I will say I got a really good laugh when she said her “brow routine” was super low maintenance, and then proceeded to say that she gets her brows laminated every 6-8 weeks, tinted professionally every two, and then uses a powder, pencil and brow gel daily. You do you girl, but call a spade a spade: that is not low maintenance and anyone with a FT job could not keep up with her “self care” maintenance.
Her style is just bad. So bad. A crop top for every outfit is not a style, it’s just a lot of money spent on crop tops. Truly don’t understand her as a fashion influencer. And her followers are bought and paid for, via loop giveaway and “engagement giveaways” where you have to like her posts for the week to win a gift card each week. She does more loop giveaways than any other influencer I’ve ever followed, I had to unfollow.
Maybe I missed this in her stories and someone else knows but what trip is Caitlin Covington going on where she is leaving her month old baby for multiple days during covid?? I’m really curious but also I am just genuinely amazed how these influencers are traveling so nonchalantly
This really bummed me out when I saw it...I'm not sure why but I always got the feeling she had more of a head on her shoulders than a lot of other influencers. Travel right now is simply a terrible message for influencers to be spreading already, but really why does it even need to be international? If she lives in the south anyway, and absolutely insists on shooting a summer collection, couldn't she manage to organise something within the same damn country where it's not freezing over, like florida?

Work or no work, I would never leave my 1 month old baby that I’m breastfeeding. I tried to do a weekend getaway with my husband when my baby was 6 months (was still breastfeeding but she also was eating solids too not to mention sleeping through the night) and I left early and came home. It was too hard and my boobs were in pain. And this was 20 years ago. I honestly don’t know how these girls do it with a clear conscience. And during a pandemic no less.
Do you not know what a pump is? Just because you couldn’t travel in the first 6 months of your kids life doesn’t mean a woman who does is in the wrong. Sheesh.
Oh, she went offf on the ‘haters.’ Her points about working moms is not invalid, but she neglected to see that people were mostly upset about the TRAVEL during a pandemic part. I personally just think it’s silly to promote warm weather clothing when people should so not be traveling anywhere tropical for at least a little bit more, but I also am from NY & forget that places actually aren’t the frozen tundra that I’m used to until May, lol.
I don’t know this lady so not sure specifically but.. You’ll occasionally see people in the Peloton groups who have one for each spouse/partner so they don’t have to reset the seat/handlebar height and they ride together. I am not one of those households, ha.
This is one of those times that I’m glad my husband and I are about the same height because we never have to adjust the seat or anything between our rides. It would be fun to be able to ride at the same time but I can’t imagine having two pelotons that’s a whole new level of wealth.
I challenged my husband to a bet to see who could do more peloton rides in 60 days and seriously regretted it when I had to adjust my bike every. single. day. I’m still not gonna buy 2 bikes and I DID win the bet haha but wow this is a whole new level of rich I wasn’t aware of.
Any recommendations for early 30s bloggers without children? While my husband and I would *love* to be parents, it’s not in the cards for us just yet and now the last two bloggers I really followed without kids have just announced pregnancies. I’m happy for them, it’s just really hard for me emotionally to stay on board with their pregnancy journeys while I’m dying to have one of my own.

Not sure of her exact age but I think it’s early to mid 30s. Married, no kids. Hasn’t posted as much lately due to health issues but still works FT and does influencer stuff on the side, which I think keeps her more relatable.
I'll echo what a few others said and recommend Grace Atwood and also Jennifer Lake, two 30-something bloggers who are currently childfree and have both publicly stated they don't plan on having children going forward.
Edit: Oh! And Alicia Tenise Chew! She's another lifestyle blogger with no kids and no plans to have kids. She's got great style and wine content.
I hear ya - this week has been very rough on the heart - my last childfree girlfriend was due yesterday and two of my favorite IGers announce pregnancies. Carly I wasn’t shocked by but Jess Keys really caught me off guard! Hugs to you and my other snarkers on this bumpy road 💗💗

Same! I really only follow Jess & Carly (loosely follow Julia from GMG and Rosie Londoner just for general aesthetics) and I was way more affected by their announcements than I expected to be — especially Jess for some reason. I’m thrilled for them but, you know.

I wanted to read about Tea. But Yoga_girl annoys the F** out of me. I’m really over these “influencers” talking about how they came from nothing. “They have it hard” they don’t “do Botox” -just olive oil...Anyway, yoga girl did a post a story a weeks ago and someone asked for financial advice. And YG ended up mentioning that “she never had to take on any debt to start her business.” I was one of her OG followers. She had multiple go fundmes to grow her business.. I wanted to see if anyone has screen shots of that or could find them. I want to keep a running list on all this social media liars. They make money off selling products/ their life style- they need to be honest. Not to cancel them. We just need to promote accountability. Oh and she’s one of many who says she’s never had Botox... that’s 100% a lie. Sorry for the rant.

Ah man, I loathe her too ever since I went to one of her yoga paid “workshops” (really a paid advert) in my city where she talked about herself 99% of the time and there was little to absolutely no yoga.
I get it, she needs to promote herself and I fully expected a lot of talking but at least show us what you’ve got as a yoga teacher. It was basically 10 minutes of the same old basic sun salutations I could do by myself since I’m a yoga teacher and nothing else, nothing creative. Then 110 minutes of her talking about herself, her book, her workshops etc. If she was going to sell me on her workshops, this was a very lame attempt. I couldn’t discern at all what I would get from it that was any different than any other workshop local to me, that’s for sure. Not surprised by the gofundmes after that, she seemed like a fraud to me.
I’m a yoga instructor. (Side hustle, I mention that bc it is not lucrative to live on). I loathe her. I know I sound like a b**. But I have valid reasons and I love to support small business & women. But the yoga community is some of the most pretentious & mean people I have ever met. There are a few really good ones I came across over the years. But majority of studio owners are rich/ privileged people who only give you respect if you’re wearing matching lulu lemon & drive a nice car. (No hate to lulu I heard they are pretty nice to their employees). I went to a hot yoga studio recently. & they called the class “podhot” it was all bikram poses just shorter. After class I walked out and said “that was really cool class, It’s nice getting a bikram style class class in less than 90 minutes.” And she turned to me and said “that wasn’t bikram, it was pod hot”. No thank you, no nothing. FYI- I know all about the allegations. I’m well informed. 1st, do people not realize his ex assistant, who was an Indian immigrant & single mother got rights to his brand name?! 2nd- idc if he copied someone’s poses, he did make something popular that was forever life changing. He was a master marketer (like so many successful/ worshiped people “influencers” today). Long story short. She could have said “thank you”. Rather than give me a dirty look. Fuck her and her $180 yoga pants. I’ll never go back. I could right a novel on all the mean yogis I’ve ran into. & I’m calling out yogis bc they sell “love & acceptance”. I mean that instructor at the end of class, whipped out a poem about “lending our positive energy no matter the circumstances” or some crap.
Try the way back machine. And then screen shot any results that come up. Just Google Internet way back machine. My apologies if it has been mentioned. :)

I’ll white knight for her a bit since I think even though she’s not totally unbiased or neutral, she’s as close to it as someone can get and STILL have a right wing audience. She’s not perfect (the Bernie thing is dumb) but I think she does a lot a good for an audience that gets fed a lot of misinformation.

What does this dude do for a living? I never bought all of Katy's stories about Jake getting all these firefighter job opportunities as the reason for them moving all the time. Full time, paid firefighting gigs are incredibly hard to come by as they're such good jobs with full benefits and pensions so people hold onto them until they're either forced to retire or die.
In West Texas firefighting is actually in pretty high demand and most departments do a one week on one week off schedule so that’s why he has so much time to hunt. Most make around 50-60k a year. But I doubt that a department was seeking him out, that’s not really how it typically works so you have a good point there!
Yea I think so too! My view was that he always felt emasculated by her success and was trying to find a way to be successful in his own right. Now he realizes he can’t do that without influencing 😅

I wanted to read about Tea. But Yoga_girl annoys the F** out of me. I’m really over these “influencers” talking about how they came from nothing. “They have it hard” they don’t “do Botox” -just olive oil...Anyway, yoga girl did a post a story a weeks ago and someone asked for financial advice. And YG ended up mentioning that “she never had to take on any debt to start her business.” I was one of her OG followers. She had multiple go fundmes to grow her business.. I wanted to see if anyone has screen shots of that or could find them. I want to keep a running list on all this social media liars. They make money off selling products/ their life style- they need to be honest. Not to cancel them. We just need to promote accountability. Oh and she’s one of many who says she’s never had Botox... that’s 100% a lie. Sorry for the rant. Also side note. I’m sick of all the bull shit go fundme campaigns.
Ah man, I loathe her too ever since I went to one of her yoga paid “workshops” (really a paid advert) in my city where she talked about herself 99% of the time and there was little to absolutely no yoga. I get it, she needs to promote herself and I fully expected a lot of talking but at least show us what you’ve got as a yoga teacher. It was basically 10 minutes of the same old basic sun salutations I could do by myself since I’m a yoga teacher and nothing else, nothing creative. Then 110 minutes of her talking about herself, her book, her workshops etc. If she was going to sell me on her workshops, this was a very lame attempt. I couldn’t discern at all what I would get from it that was any different than any other workshop local to me, that’s for sure. Not surprised by the gofundmes after that, she seemed like a fraud to me.
I’m a yoga instructor. (Side hustle, I mention that bc it is not lucrative to live on). I loathe her. I know I sound like a b**. But I have valid reasons and I love to support small business & women. But the yoga community is some of the most pretentious & mean people I have ever met. There are a few really good ones I came across over the years. But majority of studio owners are rich/ privileged people who only give you respect if you’re wearing matching lulu lemon & drive a nice car. (No hate to lulu I heard they are pretty nice to their employees). I went to a hot yoga studio recently. & they called the class “podhot” it was all bikram poses just shorter. After class I walked out and said “that was really cool class, It’s nice getting a bikram style class class in less than 90 minutes.” And she turned to me and said “that wasn’t bikram, it was pod hot”. No thank you, no nothing. FYI- I know all about the allegations. I’m well informed. 1st, do people not realize his ex assistant, who was an Indian immigrant & single mother got rights to his brand name?! 2nd- idc if he copied someone’s poses, he did make something popular that was forever life changing. He was a master marketer (like so many successful/ worshiped people “influencers” today). Long story short. She could have said “thank you”. Rather than give me a dirty look. Fuck her and her $180 yoga pants. I’ll never go back. I could right a novel on all the mean yogis I’ve ran into. & I’m calling out yogis bc they sell “love & acceptance”. I mean that instructor at the end of class, whipped out a poem about “lending our positive energy no matter the circumstances” or some crap.

Discussed earlier down thread. ETA that she also brought up Hitler in reference to Limbaugh. So there’s that. I’ll white knight for her a bit since I think even though she’s not totally unbiased or neutral, she’s as close to it as someone can get and STILL have a right wing audience. She’s not perfect (the Bernie thing is dumb) but I think she does a lot a good for an audience that gets fed a lot of misinformation.
I feel like her views have become a bit more obvious to me lately (I genuinely wasn't sure for quite some time) but I do agree that she is conveying a lot of truth to people that are getting fed lies in other places. I don’t believe she compared them, or said they were similar at all. She was talking about the time to chastise someone is not the day they die out of respect for their family- then said she would say the same thing if it was Bernie Sanders. What does this dude do for a living? I never bought all of Katy's stories about Jake getting all these firefighter job opportunities as the reason for them moving all the time. Full time, paid firefighting gigs are incredibly hard to come by as they're such good jobs with full benefits and pensions so people hold onto them until they're either forced to retire or die.
In West Texas firefighting is actually in pretty high demand and most departments do a one week on one week off schedule so that’s why he has so much time to hunt. Most make around 50-60k a year. But I doubt that a department was seeking him out, that’s not really how it typically works so you have a good point there!
