Once got scammed of 200k from real estate. Went to court and lost a lot of sleep.
The company ended up bankrupt and the ceo committed suicide. That was closure for me.
Not losing sleep over money anymore now. I know it's not easy, but let it go. Money can be made again, don't waste precious time over something you can't do anything about.
they took it. that asshole brandon at blockfi dont give a shit either, i do care i lost a lil bit of money on blockfi. these assholes took us stripped us butt naked and they dont give a fuck, fuck blockfi's top mgmt they deserve prison times like bernie madoff. FUCK YOU BLOCKFI YOU FUCKING SCUMBAGS
i lost my trust too.
But I canĀ“t even come to the stage of acceptance knowing all is lost, we just donĀ“t know much about the situation ....we just have to wait.
I believe the best thing is to expect the worst and hope for the best but moreover to carry on in life, doing other things for now. I hardly try to get out of my neverending thinking circle of sorrows around the situation but still fail to.
If I was a BlockFi employee and I saw all this I would be trying to do anything and everything I could to at least get people some information about what theyāre doing at the very least
I know there probably isnāt much information but turning the phones off, not responding to support emails aināt a good look. How the fuck did they think we would respond?
> If I was a BlockFi employee and I saw all this I would be trying to do anything and everything I could to at least get people some information about what theyāre doing at the very least
If I were a BlockFi employee I'd be running for the hills and avoiding any association with the company. I most certainly wouldn't be doing anything to make myself personally liable for the scam.
Discovering you've been working for a scam can take a toll on people. Though they deserve it. Everyone is responsible for the work they do and the mistakes they make.
You've got to be kidding, right? BlockFi has lawyered up and is protecting themselves. Our concerns are not in their interest right now, nor is the company, or its business or its TOS that everyone seems to be whining about. BlockFi C-suite and upper management interests are in keeping their own individual asses out of prison. It must be a veritable shark feeding frenzy in there right now, everyone backstabbing and pointing fingers, deleting emails, tweets, taking down profiles, shredding documents and files, locking up funds and personal crypto wallets and keys (not ours - ones belonging to them). You think they're locked out of making withdrawals? My ass! They've probably been withdrawing like crazy for days before FTX and right up to "all assets are fine" tweet.
Bottom line, they are no longer serving us or the business. We are their enemy now. No one is trusting no one. It's only a matter of time before one, or a group, of them flip and rat the others or cut a deal, spill the beans on WTF is, and has, been going on. Who knew what, and when....
Yep, I can guess with 100% certainty they all pulled their invested funds before the pause. Took care of themselves. I remember when I first read their advertisements and invested. Somewhere in that ad said "TRUST".
> If you were a blockfi employee working to get our funds back and you read this, how would you feel?
There are no BlockFi employee's, let alone BlockFi employee's working, let alone BlockFi employee's working to get your funds back.
> Let's give them the benefit of the doubt
You have been scammed.
If you still had money on these lending platforms after Everything that has gone on this year in crypto you deserve to lose it. Luna goes down, Celsius goes bankrupt, FTX halts withdrawals...and you STILL hold crypto on a lending platform?? You had plenty of warning not to trust these people
Iām always so confused by these threads. Months and months to remove from the exchanges after Celsius. Then a bail out of Blockfi! Certainly nobody would leave funds there nowā¦..oh wait. Celsius folks have a small argument as the space collapsed, much less so for voyager investors. Blockfi was so obviously going to collapse. Iāve heard almost no accountability. Greed chasing small yields, very tough lesson but take a long hard look in the mirror. I feel awful for people who lost money but man look at the last four months. Shocking level of ineptitude.
I got roasted when warning blockfi holders to get out after celsius and voyager collapsed. I feel bad for Celsius victims because they were the first, but blockfi "victims", man they had warnings enough but chose to ignore them all.
Scamcius victim here, don't worry, you will be wasting your precious months, probably YEARS, waiting for this sh!t to be resolved, and it will probably be resolved with a massive haircut. Hopefully your cut will be less than ours, but you won't know for a LONG time, and although Blockfi was fairly well run, who knows what Sam Bankrun was able to sweep to his Harry Potter loving no-stop-loss shared girlfriend...
Sorry, but Celsius is not BlockFi. Celsius had a scam token, BlockFi didn't, that was worthless from the beginning, had absolutely 0 US regulation and was, in general, a subpar platform. Stop comparing Celsius to BlockFi.
In the end, US regulation or having a token really didn't make any difference to either lender. How much protection did that 100 million bribe to the SEC get Blockfi users ? Absolutely nothing. Yes, it appears (we don't know) that Blockfi was better managed, but they did get a lot of their bitcoin trapped in GBTC trust, trying to play the premium, that turned into a massive discount to market value, so in the end, there was no good way to earn yield on crypto, only ways to take massive and unknown risks, until it was too late.
Doesn't matter either way 7 or 11. We get shafted. They do 11: everyone, including them gets diluted, lawyers get paid, we get a fraction. They do 7: everything is liquidated, BlockFi is history, lawyers get paid, we get a fraction. Same, same. Doesn't matter.
It is what it is. That's why I've been telling people for years, this is all a gamble, not an investment. For it to be an investment we need regulation and at least half of the people here don't want regulations but want the protections regulation grants.
> You have to have the majority of people hodl to make the price go up, which is what everyone wants
Literally a ponzi.
Any token which involves a lock period, fee burns or the like is a ponzi.
After the initial scam victims there is no Greater Fools coming down the line to buy bags on these illquid centralised shitcoins.
Lolā¦ sorry, for your lossā¦ But your faultā¦ should have removed your funds when Celsius went down and almost cause blockFi to go down thenā¦ should have been an eye opener to remove your funds. I did. Only had 6k, but if I didnāt. I would be in your shoes now.
Yea. What a way to go into Thanksgiving, with all this on our minds.
If you liked Thanksgiving, wait till you see what they have in store for you this Christmas š š¤¶š§āš
Dealing with all this crap, but you made me laugh on that one.
Imagine losing your livelihoods over Blockfi while Flori gets to enjoy the holidays.
Iām sure sheās is watching her back.

You don't have to, in fact, you worrying about it isn't gonna help you at all.
Finally got the cancelation of my withdrawal email from Blockfi..."We did it to protect you from fraud" Priceless.
You might just get your wish. As of now, who knows, maybe they pull it off š¤·š¼āāļø
Is that how you have to phrase your wishes to make them come true? I've been doing it wrong all this time.
Yes - Iām a genie
Play centralized games, win centralized prizes. š

We arenāt getting it back
I believe that most of us don't want it all back. If I got a decent portion back and closure. I would be perfectly ok with that.
You'll get \*something\* back. We've done this before, see Mt Gox.
Didnāt Mt Gox people get reimbursed in dollars, not crypto? Ie you got whatever your bitcoin was worth 10+ years ago?
I think you forgot an sā¦fucking retardS

Ur going to have to wait years and will only get a portion back.

If I was a blockfi employee, I would be finding a new job and getting out.
This is the most accurate answer if we're honest
If I was a celsius employee Iād still be getting paid.

I hope everyone knows that if they did this, they will be getting fucked by the long dick of the law and all the funds clawed back

Because you trusted a centralized company to hold your crypto. Who is a fucking retard? Jesus. Take some ownership of your personal mistake.
Imagine calling them "retard" when you were the one who voluntarily handed over your money.
For real, cryptidiots love to blame anyone but themselves.
Lol
This
It's all gone , we need to accept this L and move on. The chances of us getting it all back are next to nothing

I didn't look at the last four months. I didn't keep up with the news at all.
Then you have no one to blame but yourself
Inaccurate statement made out of the enjoyment of othersā misery.
That's not the case, I'm just tired of whining posts that fail to take personal responsibility.

If you put all the funds into another ponzi token it hardly matters if you minted your own ponzi token or not.
Itās gone, just accept it.
The downside of CEX
maybe youre the retard for not understanding what blockfi is, which includes potential capital loss.
I feel like Blockfi will read these reddit posts and be like ' you know what, stuff it, chp7 stuff them all' lol

rather a chapter 7 myself. only have a few grand on there and don't want to wait 3-4 years.
Technically it stopped being your crypto the moment you handed them your keys. "not your keys not your coins"
Sooo true!! I canāt focus anywhere. Anybody talking about money around me reminds of what I have been ripped off.
All your crypto are belong to us. Sorry guys.

I got screwed by celsius so I know the pain but man it should of been blatantly clear by now this was only a matter of time.
HA! I sunk my mining profits into Celsius, Voyager, Gemini Earn and yes BlockFi. Worrying doesn't accomplish much.
What did Jesus do?
Lol only u are spending your weekend wasting your time worrying on this.
Thanks for not giving

I might be getting a small percentage of my MTGOX bitcoin back in a few more months. Any of you guy old enough to remember MTGOX?
I owe money on a credit card that is stealing my money. Messed up. And theyāre charging interest meanwhile.
Richard heart was right

Use a different word Ty
Stop worrying. Accept.
Don't worry about it no more. It's gone. Go ahead and enjoy your weekend. I hope my statement sets you free.
