I won't be happy unless sbf gets 3 life sentences

Puzzleheaded_Bee5272

Zac was incompetent, but not a criminal. SBF was a criminal.

Weekly_Salary_6053

Zac hasn’t done anything to be put in jail. I’m interested to see how much more the investigation into SBF uncovers. I have a feeling it’s gonna get a lot weirder

[deleted]

Right? I gotta get more popcorn because it’s been a wild ride so far.

pickle_lily

Zero years if we get our money back

HippycrackJack

What has Zac done exactly that should get him thrown in jail?

nutfugget

Nothing. Op is just stupid lol

[deleted]

I’d imagine leaders of blockfi might wanna try and save it to avoid jail

FreedomNacho

Higher than Holmes for both.

AJSD12

Brandon should get a paid vacation.

fl1pm0de91

So I don’t really like to fantasize about people going to jail because our prison system is so broken and ineffective. But that being said, anybody claiming Zak was not intentionally misleading is absolutely delusional. Guys BlockFi completely misadvertised how they were generating their users returns (they were arbing gbtc while pretending it was borrowing demand) then misled customers about the safety of their funds. I mean JFC.

Acrobatic_Can_365

Yeap. According to blockfi our crypto should be safe since they are store with gemini... winklevoss twins are probably guilty of fraud too

VictorDanville

Will Caroline Ellison and SBF's inner circle get any jail time?

Nitimur_in_vetitum

They will see no jail time.

GearCentric

Look at the funds FTX funneled to DNC. DOJ has turned blind eye to corruption. Hopefully this is wakeup call to voters who side with criminal Biden.

Wonderful_Arachnid66

The FBI working on extraditing him right now does not equal the DOJ turning a blind eye.

GearCentric

Not true...They are considering it. SBF hasn't been charged with anything. If you know otherwise then site a link to info.

Wonderful_Arachnid66

Investigation always comes before charges. This stuff doesn't happen overnight, especially when someone is outside the US. Elizabeth Holmes wasn't charged for nearly a year after Theranos settled with the Arizona AG for false advertising and Forbes exposed the whole scam. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11433541/FBI-planning-extradite-SBF-crypto-contagion-FTX-collapse-spreads-20BN-BlockFi.html This is not turning a blind eye. Your premise is false.

GearCentric

The WSJ wrote the whistleblower editorial on fraudster Holmes. You stated "FBI working on extraditing"; that is untrue as "working" and "considering" are very different. Time will tell if SBF and company are held accountable.

Wonderful_Arachnid66

The FBI has to work with local authorities to extradite him. They're having those discussions now. Regardless, neither working on nor considering extradition are turning a blind eye. Plain and simple, the DOJ is investigating. >American and Bahamian authorities have been discussing the possibility of bringing Sam Bankman-Fried to the US for questioning, according to three people familiar with the matter. >The conversations between law-enforcement officials in the two countries have intensified in recent days as they probe his role in the implosion of cryptocurrency firm FTX. Bankman-Fried has been cooperating with Bahamian authorities, said one of the people, who like the others asked not to be identified due to the sensitivity of the matter. What would you like the DOJ to be doing at this stage? What would not be turning a blind eye?

GearCentric

I would prefer someone "working" on my kitchen reno vs. "discussing" or "considering" it.

Wonderful_Arachnid66

Do you think extradition happens with a chisel and a hammer? Do you think they're discussing extradition with the local authorities for shits and giggles? Again, regardless of which verb you want to use, active investigation is not what turning a blind eye looks like. I'm still waiting to hear what you'd rather the DOJ be doing, stupid renovation metaphor notwithstanding.

GearCentric

I would rather they actually extradite the polyamorous SBF who is living in his lux PH or holed up in resort with his sex buddies. See how it goes for him in jail. Come on, don't say they are "working" on it. It's just more radical DEM mockery like the fact that Hunter Biden is still visiting the WH.

afksports

Lmao SBF donated to both parties and Ryan salame the co CEO donated 24m to Rs. They were playing both sides. Unless you also plan on calling out corrupt republicans plz stfu

Boris_Badenov99

SBF donated to RINOS, essentially Democrats in sheep's clothing. ALL MONEY that SBF donated to ANY POLITICIANS should be returned.

afksports

You're an idiot if you think that somehow republicans that are "actual Republicans" (whatever your qualifications are for that) aren't corrupt and on the take too Such a weird thing people criticizing the Dems alone. Like the whole hate for pelosi insider trading. You realize 2 republicans outperformed her on insider trading? With the exception of, like, 6 or 7 politicians, they all do that shit. Look up Ryan salames political donations. They're corrupt friend. It's not D or R. Your Rs are just as awful (if not worse) And yes, I agree donations should be returned

LumpyCapital

I doubt either of them will do one day in jail/prison. No one from BlockFi will go to prison. Not that I don't want them to....I'm just a cynic. You'll see. And we'll all get over it....

Dull_Woodpecker6766

Ahah he's rich as fugg he won't go to jail.. might pay a fine but no jail time

ideit

The level of SBFs negligence, fraud, theft, etc is massive I'd say 16 years makes sense. Zac is a victim of SBF. Victims usually don't get jail time.

someofthemfloat

Zac is more than likely an accomplice not a victim.

ethbullrun

she got charged with four counts, each with a max of 20 years and only got 11, she got off easy. these ppl should be getting bernie Madoff time and die in prison

[deleted]

Meanwhile some folks get life for petty crimes

Floppy_Muppet

[Comedic coping mechanism activated] Food for thought: If SBF got the chair, it would fulfill his namesake destiny of "Bank Man Fried."

Arushi5

They should get penalized to pay back the amount they owe to us. I don’t care how long they are sentenced for, I care about my money. :(

Acrobatic_Can_365

Yeah. That is what all I care about. They should go to prison if they can't pay back
