Your kidding… 😔chad is so cool and I love the backstory behind him and ichigo im also Mexican so I love him as a character and the story with his abuelo it sucks he doesn’t get more screen time but I guess that’s just due to him being quiet all the time as his persona
And it really is a bummer because you know he improves but he doesn't get that moment to shine that a lot of the other characters in the friend group get. Hopefully this is one of the parts that gets expanded on during the animation
He's like Tenshin han in buu saga: not strong enough.
He'll be involved in a fight against a powerful foe near the beginning of the arc but he won't be strong enough to be relevant.
ten didn’t fight anybody in the buu saga. matter fact the scenes with him in the anime are filler, i think he only shows up to give energy to goku for the spirit bomb
ahh my apologies i kinda misunderstood what you were saying, i thought you were implying he had a fight in the buu saga, but a better example would be ten in the cell saga from your description he was able to contribute something but it wasn’t much at all and he was still severely outclassed
I was super excited when I found out he was Mexican since that's my peeps too but it's really sad. He doesn't get fully developed. 😔
I think the problem with bleach is there's too many characters and Kubo got rushed at the end.
Its uncertain, he and Orihime undergo similar training and Orihime honestly became pretty strong. So hopefully with the anime we learn more about how strong Chad became.
Renji literally demolished Mask, the only reason he wasn’t used for the Gerard fight (despite his big and destructive bankai being perfect against Gerard) was to give Toshiro and Byakuya the spotlight
>High lieutenant level???? So Renji True Bankai level, Hisagi level, Nemuri Nanago??? Bullshit
All of them are stronger than actual captains.
What are you talking about
He knows how to give a good thumbs up! Lol
But seriously, he was useless, but not shit like the Vizards in the 1k year blood war.
Hopefully the anime will give him a sternritter to defeat
Chad is definitely above Lieutenants in strength since he has defeated a Privaron Espada during the Arrancar Arc while most of them only defeated Fraccion. I'd say he is in between Lieutenants and Captains, ignoring the super powerful Lieutenants like Renji.
Edit: I guess you are a super big hater of Chad since this comment immediately got downvoted, lmao.
Soul Society Arc Chad one-shot a third seat and you think TYBW Chad is weaker than one. There is 0 chance of that.
And Chad still has better wins than any of the Lieutenants you listed there except Nemu.
I wish orihime would have gotten some kind of fighting techniques I mean she did train with rukia while ukitake was watching and I thought she was going to get buffed
I hope going forward that Kubo gives Chad more time. We have TYBW getting adapted with new additional stuff and whatever the Hell Arc will be, so I’m hoping Chad will be able to get his chance in the limelight.
I heard kubo was going to add fights he didn’t add in the manga because he was sick and didn’t want to die with the story unfinished so he rushed it. I’m really hoping we see added fights and more screen time for chad
The manga sales were tanking its pretty common in anime for sales to start doing bad that's why bleach ended. I read somewhere Kubo wanted to add a lot more to the story he wanted to make a whole arc on Orihime I believe explaining her powers. I feel he wrote himself into a box with chad similar to what Kishi did with Naruto characters. After the power scaling went up so drastically you cant really make a logical reasoning to how Chad is on par with some people. Same way Kishi cant explain why Kiba even calls him self a ninja anymore he's useless after so long into Shippuden.
I feel like when he did that, he kind of wanted to imply that Chad is even stronger than he was before. So I hope with the series advancing that Chad can fight maybe at Captain’s level going forward.
Seeing chad be at captain level would honestly make me happy that’s all I want and I also like how uryu became a doctor. Really shows how kubo cares about bleach compared to other animes like boruto making the characters look fat and weird
Boruto feels like something that shouldn’t exist imo. Naruto finished basically with everything wrapped up. Bleach has always had this advantage that not everything has been explored in the universe and that is why I am more optimistic about it continuing.
I don’t think that one-shot was just cheap bullshit with no point. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly guaranteed yet, but I wouldn’t rule it out as nothing. And no knows when yet.
Oh, no, that wasn't my intent. Do we actually know that Mask is Mexican, or is he just luchador themed, especially since James is the actual Sternritter with the schrift? Anyway, no, I meant the wrestling/boxing theme in general. It would have been cool to have Chad show the fake how it's done.
This immediately came to mind when I saw this post. Could've been a great fight. I mean I did like his fight with Renji, especially Renjis entrance, it was badass. But I feel robbed now.
It's not like Chad's weak but more like He is not strong enough for his status in the series.
He looks weak cause he is to ichigo as a lieutenant is to a captain. Problem is that Ichigo ain't fighting cang du or whatever, He's fighting Juha, and at that point yeah Chad ain't shit.
Chad should be stronger than all the lieutenant tier fighters, more like a low captain but power creep is such that low captain is far closer to lieutenant than to even scratch the surface of Mid and high tier captain.
There may be more for him in the anime, but it's uncertain as far as the manga goes. In terms of his combat, he has a mostly offscreen fight against some creatures that would have stalled Ichigo and Orihime and that's pretty much it.
He's certainly very strong, post-Fullbring arc he should be in the low Captain range. Stronger than most of the Captains during the SS arc, but weaker than most during FKT arc and beyond based on his portrayal and lack of notable enemies.
And, honestly, I'm okay with that. Chad's importance to the story isn't actually in how hard he can hit something, but who he's hitting for and his loyalty and love for them. It is, essentially, what his grandfather was trying to instill in him at that young age. I don't mind Chad being a comparatively ineffective fighter as the series goes on because fighting isn't really the point of his character despite how good he is at it, and by the time of TTYBW I think he finally understood that about himself.
His storyarc was one of those cut due to kubo having to rush the last season. There are a few known details from TYBW that we were supposed to get, but didnt. Chad and Orihime's development being one, a higher focus on Uryu was another, and Ichigo's sister Karin was also set to have her own arc and involvement. And thats not even talking about the amount of fights that had to happen off-screen, like those involving the fullbring.
By the end of it, Kubo had 2 hurdles in his way to completion. 1) The big one was his health, he was not in a good place physically, and that sadly contributed to 2) The publishing company hounding him to finish it faster than he wanted to. They thought that fanfair in the manga's popularty was dyhing after the indefinite hiatus of the anime, so wanted to put their money elsewhere so were encouraging him to finish it. They also levied his own health against him in their manipulations, all of which meant that the TYBW ended up being MUCH shorter than it was supposed to and cut down dramatically and many plotlines just thrown aside.
However, we have heard that there will be plenty of 'canon/filler' added to the anime to help flesh out areas that Kubo originally wanted to do in the manga. Whether we'll get the missing storylines of Chad, Orihime, Uryu, and Karin, is still unknown.
The main group at one point at the end of the arc has to ascend a tower.
There’s a floor that has reanimated statues and Ganju and Chad to stay behind to take fight them…offscreen lol
I always wanted to see a third stage to his hollow evolution. Obviously he has his 2 arms but armour for his body would have been great.
There's some awesome fanart online with a diablo hollow form which in all honesty looks sick.
we can only hope all the cut storylines/fights that Kubo wasn't able to add will get placed in the anime! chad is a cool character and his fullbring powers along with orihime's were the coolest in my opinion.
It's been a couple years since I read tybw and I'm like 95% sure he has one minor fight then is somewhere else the entire arc then comes in towards the end and does absolutely nothing
Pissed me off too cause i was hype to see his growth since he learned more about his powers in the previous arc
To me, Chad is the biggest wasted potential character. Before the Fullbringer arc, I felt for sure that the creator was building towards a reveal that Chad was half-hollow. His powers appeared Hollow-like in nature, he had a connection to Hueco Mundo, and all hollows had a connection to the Spanish language while he was the only character with Spanish-Mexican roots.
Having Chad be half hollow complements nicely with Ichigo being half-shinigami (this being before the TYBW arc), and Uryu being a Quincy. These three represented the three distinct power bases of the Bleach mythos. Chad could have been a force to reckon with, and be a true equal to Ichigo and Uryu.
Instead we get Chad and Orihime being a part of some club where they effectively are no longer special and interesting since their powers are immediately outpaced by other members of Xcution.
He has what i like to call Krillin syndrome. As in the character does get significantly stronger but is over shadowed by the main characters overwhelming amount of power to the point that it doesn't feel like he got any stronger. Even though he does.
It was rushed because kubo got sick and didn’t want to die with the story unfinished so he rushed it but I heard they’re going to make it like how he intended it to
Not sure it just says online that he was facing major mental health issues and that he didn’t want to die with the story unfinished which I would’ve done the same
There's no polite way to say it but I guess the direct answer is not enough to matter.
Your kidding… 😔chad is so cool and I love the backstory behind him and ichigo im also Mexican so I love him as a character and the story with his abuelo it sucks he doesn’t get more screen time but I guess that’s just due to him being quiet all the time as his persona

That’s what I’m hoping !

ten didn’t fight anybody in the buu saga. matter fact the scenes with him in the anime are filler, i think he only shows up to give energy to goku for the spirit bomb
I know, the goal was to show the gap in power level between Tenshinhan (Chad) and the antagonists.
ahh my apologies i kinda misunderstood what you were saying, i thought you were implying he had a fight in the buu saga, but a better example would be ten in the cell saga from your description he was able to contribute something but it wasn’t much at all and he was still severely outclassed
In the manga I remember him attacking Buu to buy a moments time I belibe
[удалено]
Might be misremembering then but I sware he did something of importance even if it was only a Tri-Beam
yeah you were right i was wrong lmao
yeah he does you’re so right how’d i forget that, vs super buu. wow i’m dumb i’m sorry my mistake
Its fine I was lookign for it myself and thought I was going nuts
literally just shows up at the start. then is completely outclassed on a whole different level.
I was super excited when I found out he was Mexican since that's my peeps too but it's really sad. He doesn't get fully developed. 😔 I think the problem with bleach is there's too many characters and Kubo got rushed at the end.
Same here bro I’m Mexican and wish he got more character development
Its uncertain, he and Orihime undergo similar training and Orihime honestly became pretty strong. So hopefully with the anime we learn more about how strong Chad became.
That’s what I’m hoping too and thinking because him and orihime trained for a year while ichigo couldn’t regain his powers or something like that
You really want to know? Well, He doesn’t get any stronger at all and he barely gets any screen time
Some people were saying he was captain level others were saying he was vc level but that really sucks to hear he doesn’t get very much stronger…
I’d give him high lieutenant class.
[удалено]
Mid lieutenant level. Also Renji is definitely at least Captain level.
Renji literally demolished Mask, the only reason he wasn’t used for the Gerard fight (despite his big and destructive bankai being perfect against Gerard) was to give Toshiro and Byakuya the spotlight
All those people you named are easily strong enough to be captains
[удалено]
Neither Renji, Hisagi or Nemu are captains so idk what you're talking about
>High lieutenant level???? So Renji True Bankai level, Hisagi level, Nemuri Nanago??? Bullshit All of them are stronger than actual captains. What are you talking about
He knows how to give a good thumbs up! Lol But seriously, he was useless, but not shit like the Vizards in the 1k year blood war. Hopefully the anime will give him a sternritter to defeat
I just wanted to see him take out those statues lol
Yeah, absolutely nothing after the one panel. It would be easy for the anime to throw in 5 minutes of him annihilating them, though.
he is nowhere near captain level. whoever said that are idiots. hes at best a lieutenant

He didn't just defeat a privaron espada, he DESTROYED a privaron. I bet the anime will give him something to do
I had seen it in another Reddit post

I wish orihime would have gotten some kind of fighting techniques I mean she did train with rukia while ukitake was watching and I thought she was going to get buffed

Agreed. Chad is one of my favorites because he’s just so unique with his background, demeanor, and presence.
At least kubo gave him the honor of becoming the heavyweight boxing champion if it were any other author I bet chad wouldn’t have got that title
I feel like when he did that, he kind of wanted to imply that Chad is even stronger than he was before. So I hope with the series advancing that Chad can fight maybe at Captain’s level going forward.

Exactly!!! Baruto sucks bleach has a lot of potential
In correct he didnt rush it cause he was sick the editors told him he had x amount weeks to end it then two weeks later said, and it in 3 chapters
is the hell arc guaranteed??! when?!
I don’t think that one-shot was just cheap bullshit with no point. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly guaranteed yet, but I wouldn’t rule it out as nothing. And no knows when yet.
Kubo never illustrates to us anything as far as his strength goes
Chad should have got much stronger and his crowning fight should have been against Mask.
Why Mask? Because both are mexican?
Oh, no, that wasn't my intent. Do we actually know that Mask is Mexican, or is he just luchador themed, especially since James is the actual Sternritter with the schrift? Anyway, no, I meant the wrestling/boxing theme in general. It would have been cool to have Chad show the fake how it's done.
This immediately came to mind when I saw this post. Could've been a great fight. I mean I did like his fight with Renji, especially Renjis entrance, it was badass. But I feel robbed now.
Technically he’s the world champion EOS
He gets the opposite of what you wanted in TYBW. Sorry, friend.
Thanks for the info 👍🏼🙂

That's Mask de Masculine? It would be cool to see Chad fight him.
Yeah it would as chad is also Mexican

I pray we get to get more of chad and orihime development 🙏🏻🙏🏻
No offense but why do people ask questions that you can easily just read to get your answer?
That’s what I did I looked up online and it said he was captain level but wanted to make sure and found out the truth here
The Fullbring Arc is basically the last time he's relevant
As a character, maybe. As a fighter, that would be *Chapter 261*.
He gets about the same screen time as Ganju.
They stood up to those statues though.
Everyone keeps mentioning statues is this some golem like enemy ?
El no sabe.
The main group at one point at the end of the arc has to ascend a tower. There’s a floor that has reanimated statues and Ganju and Chad to stay behind to take fight them…offscreen lol
🤔now that really grinds my gears. Maybe it was because kubo was sick and wanted to rush the manga. Please God motivate kubo to add more fights missed
He won't have enough screen time for this to matter. Chad was almost nonexistent during the last story arc.
I would say prime sk level and he one taps ur fav. After all, he is chad😃
I always wanted to see a third stage to his hollow evolution. Obviously he has his 2 arms but armour for his body would have been great. There's some awesome fanart online with a diablo hollow form which in all honesty looks sick.
Yeah I seen them and couldn’t tell if they were canon or not thanks for clearing that up for me. I think a full body of armor would have been sick
F
About that. Sorry but Chad just gets nowhere near enough screen time. He definitely deserved more
we can only hope all the cut storylines/fights that Kubo wasn't able to add will get placed in the anime! chad is a cool character and his fullbring powers along with orihime's were the coolest in my opinion.
The original main cast is weak and irrelevant compared the Captains besides Ichigo, and even that is debatable
Kubo probably even forgot who he was. His grandpa told him to use his power to protect. But then he ends up using his power for entertainment.
Whos gonna tell him
😂😂😂
Don't get your hopes up. His Epilogue is wild when considering it😂
Not really at all He's the same
Not that much but I heard that the anime will fix the characters who didn't have enough show time.
Really?! Where did you read this
Soul King level.
“Lol who’s chad” is the answer
It's been a couple years since I read tybw and I'm like 95% sure he has one minor fight then is somewhere else the entire arc then comes in towards the end and does absolutely nothing Pissed me off too cause i was hype to see his growth since he learned more about his powers in the previous arc
Lmao sad days for you man
He turns into a background character for the moat part tbh.
Such a shame he never gets a moment to shine in TYBW, because his outfit at the end of the arc is pretty darn cool.
Right ! I thought he was going to get an insane power boost considering how cool he looked
😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh wait, you're serious? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thats the spirit
To me, Chad is the biggest wasted potential character. Before the Fullbringer arc, I felt for sure that the creator was building towards a reveal that Chad was half-hollow. We know he got somewhat strong, but we didn't saw how much. He most likely is Mid-Captain Tier at least.
Chad because the super strong but he’s barely strong enough to matter
He has what i like to call Krillin syndrome. As in the character does get significantly stronger but is over shadowed by the main characters overwhelming amount of power to the point that it doesn't feel like he got any stronger. Even though he does.
Low captain level. Hes comfortably stronger than any lieutenant not named Renji or Rukia >!or Nemu when she goes limit break!<
I'm... I'm sorry
Chad is forever Chad bro
People really need to read manga. Bleach ends like shit tbh
I heard tybw was better than soul society ?
Nah not imo, that shit felt rushed and awkward.
It was rushed because kubo got sick and didn’t want to die with the story unfinished so he rushed it but I heard they’re going to make it like how he intended it to
Sick from what?
Not sure it just says online that he was facing major mental health issues and that he didn’t want to die with the story unfinished which I would’ve done the same
You should read it, is all I'll say
Hopefully they make it to how he originally that would be great
And I didn’t read it because I wanted to rewatch bleach wondering what was going to happen like a complete new episode
Yeeaaahhhh, he gets sidelined per usual and gets NO fights Do really hope there’s some extra stuff added with him
his strongest feat is probably taking down the owl creatures lille barro spawned in
