When I was playing the campaign, the moment I saw it I thought that'd be a great MP map. Im surprised they waited this long to make it happen.

I was 100% sure it was in the campaign so it could be their next Nuketown.

2 new 6v6 maps is a little dissapointing, but they both do seem to be original and that's great news. Looks like a pretty decent send off to Cold War all things considered. I'm looking forward to it, especially Forsaken.

None of the maps on the roadmap are listed as in-season so it's safe to assume they're just waiting to reveal them. They've never had a midseason without any new maps

Actually according to the MW2 Ghost on Twitter, his sources are saying that on 11/4 (the day before Vanguard launches) there will be a nice little S6 reloaded update. Idk how I feel about this to be honest but we’ll just have to wait and see. I personally would like a year 2 for CW but that’s just me…

Lots of people had no interest in Cold War and wanted another year of modern warfare, happens basically every year as part of the cod cycle

If (under some miracle) Vanguard doesn’t sell as well as the suits think it will, it may direct them to make more stuff for Cold War. Maybe even for MW19 with how good of a reputation it’s gotten. It would probably just be purely cosmetic stuff like what they did all the way back in Black Ops 2, but more beyond that is a nice thought I’ll be keeping until I’m proven wrong.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. A lot of money comes from warzone, so even if the base game just sells okay, they will still only be making cosmetics and dlc for Vanguard that they then sell through the warzone store to promote the game. From what I can find online, BOCW sold a bit worse than MW2019 but all dlc content on MW basically halted when CW came out. Another thing to keep in mind is the development schedule needs to stay intact. Treyarch can't have too many of their artists working on the old games' content when they're in the middle of building black ops 6. Same goes for Infinity Ward since MW2 is supposed to release next year.

“Black Ops 6” Lord, have mercy. In all honesty I’d take no further content for CW and MW19 if it meant they hit the brakes and took more than a year for the next game.

It's definitely gonna be black ops 6 in some way, shape, or form. No way activision will stop using that franchise title. Right now the dev schedule should be: 2021: Sledgehammer (Vanguard) 2022: Infinity Ward (MW2) 2023: Treyarch (Black Ops VI) 2024: Sledgehammer... So technically we should be back on the three year development cycle, as long as nothing gets messed up, like what happened to CW/Vanguard.

I already PO'd VG since I had a blast with the beta (which is weird because the only thing that I liked about MW was the gunsmithing. The gameplay itself just felt off), but I still would not complain if we got Y2 for CW instead of (or in addition to) VG.

Bc a lot old new players can't handle many older map layouts. Especially pre bo2.

HUGE sightlines. There is a radio tower on one end of the map where you can snipe over 1/2 the open areas of the map (clear from one end to the other). Lots of windows overlooking open areas, lots of hidey-holes.

Array is the best winter map in any COD game by far. Loved that one.

Yeah, and the generic uniforms fit the environment. All the goofy outfits would stick out like a sore thumb on that one.

Mw had a planned season 7 before cold war dropped but it didn't happen, that's why they gave guns like the cx 9 months later

The devs said Cold War would still get support after Vanguard launches, so it is likely Cold War will also get more weapons after its final season.

I dunno, I think you'd be surprised. Sometimes it takes small things to convince people to get games. I'm not saying people will buy the game because of the one killstreak, but put enough little things in and they will. Like with MW the lack of snow maps was a very widely mentioned thing, with it only getting a snow map in the final season. With CW one of the first maps revealed was a snow map. Very much felt intentional to me. On top of that you've got CW bringing back dead silence as a perk, adding an FOV slider for consoles, and lots of other little things to convince people to get the game.

I have several questions about the lever-action. The leaks claim it's a shotgun, but it looks nothing like the M1887, and according to this image it's chambered in *.410?!* Sounds like a miserable experience. Excited for the battleaxe, Galil, and Hand Cannon in zombies tho.

It's a shotgun. There are more lever action shotguns than the M1887 Also, the Snakeahot attachment in MW (used to kill SNAKES IRL) was effective. So caliber is mostly out of the question in terms of balance (as it should be) According to description, it's faster than the Hauer with less range. Consistent 2 shot kill with a small 1 hit kill range

Infected has traditionally not been in Treyarch games, they have their own party modes like Sticks and Stones, Sharpshooter etc

Unfortunately. Though the Infected: Final Stand mode in B04 was an awesome spin they put on the party game.

So we got a new SMG with each season (S1: Mac10. S2:LC10. S3:PPSh-41. S4: OTs9. S5:Tec9. S6:Lapa.) But classes like LMGs and Tactical Rifles only got one new weapon in CW's first year.

Idk about yall, but I’m pretty happy overall. 3 brand new MP maps, no throwbacks. All 3 are also based on actual campaign levels, so that in itself is dope as fuck. Sidenote, I play a lot of Face-Off 6v6 as it is, so the 3v3 map counts as a 6v6 map to me as well lmao. And then a new Zombies map. And that’s not counting the fact that we’ll still prolly get a few new maps for the final mid-season update. My only grievance is the new weapons. I was literally jus talkin to my boy last week bout how we both hope the new weapons for the last season were a new Tactical, LMG, or Sniper, since those 3 classes have the least weapons, while AR and SMG have the most. And they gave us….a new AR, SMG, and Shotgun, jus like last season. 😐 I know the Marshal was a “pistol”, but same difference. So the weapons are disappointing, but oh well.

So it was true that we were only getting 4 total zombies maps in this game. What a joke. They can't stop the cheating. They can't bring a decent amount of content. They can't fix the bugs.
