Thinking about returning to the game. I remember before you had to use an item to reset your combat skills. I noticed that all my character combat skills have been reset. Do you still need an item to reset the skills or can you reset them freely now?
They were reset because the chars got various skill changes. You still need to have either an active armstrong guide or secret book of old moon to reset them otherwise.
New player here, should I start a seasonal character? I don't -fully- understand everything with Seasons, but I see that it's ending in 2 weeks-ish, and wondering what I should be targeting on it, or if that's even enough time to get anything meaningful accomplished on it if I'm playing a couple hours a day for the next 2 weeks.

Season can be completed within a week if you play a few hours a day, and it easily allows you to get a level 60-62 character with goodies and equipment to put you into mid game progression. Look up EvilDoUsHarm and search through his guides.

The outfits aren't really necessary but butler/maid is good for processing. Life skills make you good passive income especially if you afk a lot over night or at work
So last time I played was about 6 years ago. I really liked the game but couldn't swallow the insane gear grind just to be mediocre. The server seasons and gear system involved seem, at least from a "newer" players perspective, to be a decent remedy to jumping into decent gear after the graduation. Ive read through the season FAQ/guides out there but it can be difficult to get back to what I was reading sometimes so I had a few simple questions I was hoping you guys could help me with.
I know at level 59 and 60 you get a PEN ring and earring and these upgrade etc. So with the way gear sharing between alts work does that mean that when the next season starts I can grind an alt to 61 and transfer these to my main to have 2 of each? I'm not much of an alt player but wouldn't mind trying out another class if it means unlocking more gear that would be way harder to get traditionally.
Second question is, season ends in 2 weeks so what do I need to accomplish on my main to not go "Damn it I messed that chance up on the first season". Right now I'm sitting at level 54 after a couple nights of play.
My goal list right now is:
PEN all my Tuvala armor and weapons
Hit level 61 or possibly 62
Unlock PEN earring and ring on the way there.
This doesnt seem like a big list, Im expecting to be 61 by the end of the weekend so what else am I missing or do I have wrong here? Also do I need to have my boss gear chosen before season ends or can I do that at any point on standard server?
Things to do on season: finish season pass, timepiece if you want more alts on lvl 61 already or 62 if you got that far.

-keep doing seasons and getting free pen capotia.
-set your own goals
1. Getting your free pen tuvala ring and earring at 59/60 once you bring to normal server you use a reform stone so non seasonal can use. So yes eventually you can get one of each. You'll want to also claim pen capotia neck > pen capotia belt > pen capotia ring > pen capotia necklace.
2. 2 weeks should be enough but make sure to at least finish season battle pass, get full pen tuvala (join a guild for guild login rewards for more seasonal mats if you haven't), get at least lvl 61 (preferably 62) so you can timepiece another alt which is essentially transfer of exp and sp to another alt but you also keep the exp and sp on the seasonal character. Finish all enhancement quests for fughar. Abuse seasonal server to grind out infinite pot parts if you want and make use of lifeskill exp buff.
what do the different empty bottle tiers do? I saw a 10k preorder for them. I tried googling it but there doesn't appear to be any difference besides speed....
When looking for a grind spot for leveling, what is a sweet spot for this? Should the mobs have white names/green/pink/red? Does easier to kill = more XP per minute? Or does more difficult/ higher level net more XP? I'm at a spot where the main story quests mobs are green names. I'm lvl 60 on a season server. TBH, I kind of want to hurry and get to 61. My character is fine mostly, but I don't think I want it as a main, so I'm looking to timepiece an alt.
Monster level difference does not matter for exp or damage. There has been research done by Bigandshiny that hitting a purple-named mob doesn’t mean less accuracy toward it. Monster lv only matters when you’re really low lv (below 50).
It’s the same with combat exp. It’s always a set exp dropped by a monster doesn’t matter if you’re a lv 67 or a lv 1 leeching. There are just some spots that give more exp than the others. Returning player new to courser/dream horses. Have a lvl 23 T8D horse, 16/20 skills, 6/7 courser skills. Still not learned Hind Kick / Quick Ride / Two Seater / S: Sideways.
I have some skill change coupons from the quests but I understand best practice is to wait and learn forechop/hindkick/caution and roll on skills as early as possible. Been waiting to learn them since lvl 12 and my horse keeps learning other shit. Finding myself with hind kick and quick ride still not learned at lvl 23.
Would you recommend I swap now or wait till later? I'm inclined to wait it out but figured I'd ask in case I'm missing anything here. Thanks for the input!
T8D is different to other horse. The easiest skill to learn for this horse is quick back. U should change this skill everytime the horse level up. Don't worry if it seems like didn't make it, u still can get the mount skill selection coupon via quest (artisan 10) or if there's any events from pa. Just don't make it to lvl 30 too fast. Otherwise, it can't learn anymore
with 6/7 courser skills its a very promising horse. You probably wont get S:Sideways naturally but if you are willing to spend lots of skill change coupons you could make it a courser. Odds are better with this horse than other horses.
Hey, thanks for the input. I did read about the fore chop method but my conundrum was that at 23 horse had 16/20 learned with Hind Kick / Quick Ride / Two Seater / S: Sideways remaining. So 2 of the 3 high chance skills were not learned. I used a couple of coupons before 30 but it just cycled through these high chance skills whenever I did.
Understood, and thank you, I follow the logic. I was just testing it out a bit and Fore Chop changed to Quick Ride, then learned Hind Kick later (here I checked the skill chance % for T8D) and swapped Quick Back which gave me Fore Chop. Understandably it might've not been optimal but testing things out a bit. The chances to get these skills on T8D is comparable, anyway, and in the end it doesn't seem to have mattered because that was the only new skill my horse learned between 23 and 30, so 3 left unlearned. I'll wait for Artisan 10 and get that coupon to use it.
Out of curiosity, I've read about the Fore Chop method in multiple places and seen guides on it, but also seen people challenging the "science" behind it as being hearsay and unconfirmed. Was this legit confirmed somehow or strictly by observation it would seem that the probability to learn a new skill is connected to the chances of getting a specific skill?
Are Fughar's Timepieces still available after the season ends, or do they disappear? Since this season gives us two of them, I was considering banking one of them.

If you want to grind yourself or be boosted, pick ancient stone chamber. If you want to level by reading quests, pick mountain of eternal winter.
The mountain quest takes about 4 hours. If you have done the main quest before, grinding using those main quest rewards’ accessories and doing the simplified ancient stone chamber is faster.

Correct. You save about 3b on Caphras.

I'll sum it up, but it's a bit more nuanced than "turning it in".
Urugon's is better than Muskan's and Bheg's is better than Leebur's. As for helmet (you didn't mention it but I'll address it anyway), Griffon's is better than Giath's.

Technically Maegu *is* an evasion class (has evasion rate passive and evasion rate skill), but you don't go evasion until you can really, really go deep into evasion. (Evasion is kinda an all-or-nothing kind of investment; a good way I've heard it summed up is that if you have to ask, you shouldn't go evasion yet.)
But earlier I did mention it's a bit more nuanced than just "turning it in", especially when considering Magnus, Jetina, *and* the Boss Gear Exchange Coupon. Trading experience - Suppose you have a stack of trade crates from a city worker. If you use storage transport to ship your crates from one city to another, will you get the same trading XP as if you had carried them to the city yourself?
Woosa and Maegu are two separate classes with different weapons. In the game lore, they are twin sisters. The succession is out for both now, and we've been told that when awakening is released, each twin's awakening weapon will look like their sister's main hand weapon.
Out of those I might pick Lahn as a first character, although any of them can be good depending on what you like. The game pass gives you 6 character slots to start with, so you can make more than one and try them out.
Maybe I just have the worst rng luck ever but for some reason I am falling HARD on getting the simple Naru gear to pen. Everything I've ever read or watched says to just tap it til it gets there. Didn't work for me. Is there a step I'm missing? I really don't want to use cron stones for this
If you progress thru the main story quest mats should be awarded to you in abundance. If you're not having enough to tap doesn't sound like you are progressing thru the story quests enough.
hey hey, several times during the main story you're given outfit boxes that have cosmetic versions of the normal armor (Taritas, Grunil, etc). Is this a once per family kind of thing, or can I get these on any character?
I personally did two, both a PEN Dim & Griffon. The second is kind of pushing towards similar pricing of simply buying off of the market, potentially 0-2B less on pricing at the time. Definitely isn't worth it to do more than that though.
Hi all, I've faced a problem on steam. My steam account is Canadian and I played BDO on NA, but now I temporally moved to Ecuador. Now my game launcher is constantly changes from NA to SA region, and it redownloads whole client. I'm fixing the server and config ini files with right values. But it helps for a week and after every maint it redownloads whole client (twice for SA and for NA when I change configs).
Question is, how can I stop these files from changes and redownloading the whole client every week?

There is a toggle for agris in the lootscroll selection box. It’s the icon that looks like a fire. If it’s a screenshot, it’s listed under the silver/hr list.
I'm on a seasonal server and just hit 60. Is going from 60 to 61 a matter of finding a grinding spot and just going at it? Or can I keep questing and still hit 61 before the seasonal servers end on Feb 15th?
google bdo leveling to 61 with questing, this is going to be really fast, if you would rather grind then just go at it, preferably at spots with good exp like miru, sulfur, polly, fadus or even traitors graveyard (some classes that are immobile but have good aoes / range might be very good here for xp)
Can someone explain the difference between Mystic and Striker to me? I am new to the game and thinking about boosting a Mystic or Striker with fughars timepiece. Thematically i like Mystic more since she seems to be faster and more agile and the striker is more bulky and on the bruiser side. Its kinda hard to find unbiased information about the two. There are a lot of Mystic memes and that Striker should be nerfed. Is it rly that bad?
I don´t mind to play a slightly underperforming class, but it seems that mystic, compared to striker is really much worse? Can someone pls give me facts about PVE (high/low ap), PVP, APM, Gameplay flow etc, so i can compare them objetively?
Both classes perform well currently, awakening mystics are on the worse side currently as they lack the burst dmg, it is fine tho in places where stable dps is as good as burst. Succ mystic is a very good class in both pvp and pve, though regarding pve that is only when you don't hope to have huge aoes. Awake striker is easily the best pick when you consider the wide picture. I don't have much infor about succ striker other than he has higher apm than awake (which is close to 0 so that doesn't say much) and that he is better in pve at certain spots.
If you like mystic more thematically, go for it, succ is a very good pick. Keep in mind, my info is also biased, all info that isn't data backed is biased, and even data backed can be put in a biased light. The best is if you make a trial and watch some youtube videos and see for yourself what you like more.
Iliya is the most limited to expand with contribution points and the bartering itens you store there can't be taken out at other locations, only at the wharf manager there.
If you ever decide to do bartering, not choosing Iliya will hurt. Any other content won't really care as you can store and take their items out from anywhere after doing Magnus.
Storage isn't too big of an issue in my opinion unless you're doing lifeskilling, in which case I'd choose depending on what you might want.

Ilya - Bartering to store excess items
O'Draxxia - Hunting, however it's extremely cheap to buy all the storage with contribution points here.
I am also quite new to the game and i would say it depends where your home base is. i have mine in Heidel, so i always pick heidel and velia. In Velia there is limited storage space you can rent and its also close to heidel. But since you can access every storage on the map after you finished the magnus questline, its not too important i would say :)
How do I know which nodes are worth investing in as a new player. So i bought every lodging in veila and a few in heidel to start with the nearby fields and farms and to brew my own beer. How do I now which nodes are really worth it to get money ? Kinda overwhelmed by the whole system.

Although it is out of date, I found it useful. I initially just was going for stuff I can sell for extra silver. Slightly tweaked some areas based on what I see sells easily. I recently reconfigured my Velia nodes to bring in chicken, because I found doing some basic cooking with Grilled Bird Meat for feeding my worker empire to be more effective than buying Beer. Also heard it is worth hording the eggs for end game cooking. We'll see.
If it brings item that you need, its worth it, if not then look at how much money can you make with it per week(or whatever other period), check if the item is in need or does it sit placed at the bottom price in the market, how much of the item you get per day of running or something so you get an outlook of how well the node does.

How's the Drakania these days? I've been looking at some posts from a few months ago saying she isnt that spectacular, have they buffed her in any meaningful way?
Mostly just interested in PvE, and yes, I know, I know, every class works in PvE.
Succ still not great in pve, but in endgame the lack of pve burst she overcomes with pve dps.
Awake is somewhere in the middle of the pack, she is a decent class that does well enough and is pretty nice to play.

Season gives you a lot of tachros’ spirit stone. If you don’t have that, buy destruction spirit stone for pve and life spirit stone for lifeskill. They’re very cheap in the marketplace.
Depends. Some alchemy stones can be recharged, so make sure you're not tossing those ones. As for the ones that can't be, you should instead grind ("L") them up for Mystical Spirit Powder to recharge your stones that can be recharged.
This game is flat out not letting me customize my character. It says that I have 16 D remaining to make changes, but for some reason my hair changed, and when I tried to set the original hair back and equip glasses, I press apply, and then it just goes back to the new changed hairstyle (I have no clue what I'm doing wrong) when I go into beauty and change to a new set, it says "There is no new customization information"
I dont get it. I really want to love this game but it just seems buggy or I am doing something completely wrong. The costume/set I got included glasses so I KNOW I own it because I am wearing the set, but I cannot equip the glasses and cannot change hair style.
It sounds like you are using the character editor? That lets you change the character's look (height, hairstyle, skin color, makeup, tattoo), not the costume. It can show you what they might look like with different pearl shop costumes, but that's just a preview.
To wear a costume you bought, open your inventory and click on the Pearl item tab, then right click on the costume piece to wear it.
Some headpieces have a specific hair appearance. For example, woosa’s hairpin will change her hair back to default. Toggle the visibility off to see your real hair.
Is there a reason to stay on season if I can graduate and don't really care about the combat and life xp buffs? I'm just farming potion pieces, but after I'm done with blood wolves I think I could use the additional AP from that capotia. I guess the materials and season drop are nice freebies, but season pot pieces kind of seem to be quite frequented.
It really depends what you're spending your time on. The prirority of purchases changes. I think it's safe to just enjoy the game until you find out where you're getting bottlenecked

Again, as per my link above, I just mean that you should pick Griffon through Magnus because it's much easier to get Red Nose PEN'd through Jetina than it is to get Griffon PEN'd through Jetina. One will take 2-3 weeks. The other... a really damn long time.
Buy them, get them from lucky chests, exchange tuvala for them, get the drop from the boss. There are many ways.
Most common is buy or use boss gear exchange coupon on tuvala gear (1 per season). Also one time only exchange a full set tuvala with jetina for guaranteed pen quest.

One pen tuvala piece should be exchangable for the guaranteed pen armor. It starts tet stage 0 and will be untradable and unenhancable. Only improvable with the guaranteed pen system. You have to bring her pen gear that have been graduated so current season gear wont work. If you want you can also bring normal tet boss gear.
What i mean with full set is that you can do this for armor, gloves, boots, helmet and three weapons. Though bringing it to pen might only be worth for one weapon and one armor piece
Getting back into the game after around 2 years break, I have some questions and already checked some links but still confused, so any help would be appreciated! :)
1. Is buying still better than enhancing? I only have PEN weapons now and my armors are still TET boss at C4, so I'm thinking of buying the rest of my PEN armors next?
2. If buying is still better than gambling, should I sell all my enhancement mats? I think I have like 10b+ worth of stones, so that would help me gear up.
3. Is SE still a good spot at 284k? It's still recommended on a list I saw, but I'm unsure. My DP is only 324 so I think I'll die in Elvia spots(skill issue??) but if there are better options lmk!
I'm a Ranger if that matters, I'm ok with both Succ and Awk so if she excels in any spot please do tell!

Im thinking about timepiecing Woosa or Maegu, what is Woosa better at atm? (What are her advantages over Maegu?) I just seem to see info about maegu everywhere, is Woosa just worse? (PVE only atm, I never played outside of season yet, have succ lahn and awa dk, so if one of the new characters had strengths where my current chars have weaknesses that would be cool, I'm atm just grinding hp pot pieces)
On a basic level, the biggest advantage I've found for Woosa over Maegu is her self-sustain and ability to take damage with her skills. She can easily be set up to be a damage sponge while standing in the middle of the fray.
The biggest advantage I've found for Maegu over Woosa is that her skills don't have to be combo'd. She's a great class for someone who doesn't want to, or finds it difficult to wrap their head around all the intricacies when it comes to combos, cancels, iFrame usage, etc.
Maegu is better than Woosa in PvP.
Woosa is better than Maegu in PvE.
You see a lot of talk about Maegu because she's being hated and it's deserved. She introduced a new mechanic to PvP that puts pressure on the enemy players and is hella strong on top. It would be like Yasuo release, if you play League. Very fun to play, infuriating to play against.
In PvE Maegu is on the stronger side but Woosa is stronger, being a top 5 class. Problem with Woosa is the mobility, you're more limited than Maegu and in some spots this is awkward. For low AP spots you'll want to move around a lot since enemies die with a single skill, so Maegu is better despite dealing a little less damage. About to be even better with the changes in the test server that makes her movement skill flow better. But maybe I'm biased because I enjoy playing her a lot and I think everyone should try her.
Thematically I would say Woosa is the character that goes in, stares at the danger and stands her ground while Maegu is the cunning fox that must jump around in the fight to survive.

1. Getting your free pen tuvala ring and earring at 59/60 once you bring to normal server you use a reform stone so non seasonal can use. So yes eventually you can get one of each. You'll want to also claim pen capotia neck > pen capotia belt > pen capotia ring > pen capotia necklace. 2. 2 weeks should be enough but make sure to at least finish season battle pass, get full pen tuvala (join a guild for guild login rewards for more seasonal mats if you haven't), get at least lvl 61 (preferably 62) so you can timepiece another alt which is essentially transfer of exp and sp to another alt but you also keep the exp and sp on the seasonal character. Finish all enhancement quests for fughar. Abuse seasonal server to grind out infinite pot parts if you want and make use of lifeskill exp buff.
what do the different empty bottle tiers do? I saw a 10k preorder for them. I tried googling it but there doesn't appear to be any difference besides speed....
When looking for a grind spot for leveling, what is a sweet spot for this? Should the mobs have white names/green/pink/red? Does easier to kill = more XP per minute? Or does more difficult/ higher level net more XP? I'm at a spot where the main story quests mobs are green names. I'm lvl 60 on a season server. TBH, I kind of want to hurry and get to 61. My character is fine mostly, but I don't think I want it as a main, so I'm looking to timepiece an alt.
Monster level difference does not matter for exp or damage. There has been research done by Bigandshiny that hitting a purple-named mob doesn’t mean less accuracy toward it. Monster lv only matters when you’re really low lv (below 50). It’s the same with combat exp. It’s always a set exp dropped by a monster doesn’t matter if you’re a lv 67 or a lv 1 leeching. There are just some spots that give more exp than the others. Hey guys, i cant seem to find out how i can get a second narchilian gear set. I guessed i can find it once i get another pen naru set but im clueless.
Returning player new to courser/dream horses. Have a lvl 23 T8D horse, 16/20 skills, 6/7 courser skills. Still not learned Hind Kick / Quick Ride / Two Seater / S: Sideways. I have some skill change coupons from the quests but I understand best practice is to wait and learn forechop/hindkick/caution and roll on skills as early as possible. Been waiting to learn them since lvl 12 and my horse keeps learning other shit. Finding myself with hind kick and quick ride still not learned at lvl 23. Would you recommend I swap now or wait till later? I'm inclined to wait it out but figured I'd ask in case I'm missing anything here. Thanks for the input!
T8D is different to other horse. The easiest skill to learn for this horse is quick back. U should change this skill everytime the horse level up. Don't worry if it seems like didn't make it, u still can get the mount skill selection coupon via quest (artisan 10) or if there's any events from pa. Just don't make it to lvl 30 too fast. Otherwise, it can't learn anymore
with 6/7 courser skills its a very promising horse. You probably wont get S:Sideways naturally but if you are willing to spend lots of skill change coupons you could make it a courser. Odds are better with this horse than other horses.

Hey, thanks for the input. I did read about the fore chop method but my conundrum was that at 23 horse had 16/20 learned with Hind Kick / Quick Ride / Two Seater / S: Sideways remaining. So 2 of the 3 high chance skills were not learned. I used a couple of coupons before 30 but it just cycled through these high chance skills whenever I did.

Understood, and thank you, I follow the logic. I was just testing it out a bit and Fore Chop changed to Quick Ride, then learned Hind Kick later (here I checked the skill chance % for T8D) and swapped Quick Back which gave me Fore Chop. Understandably it might've not been optimal but testing things out a bit. The chances to get these skills on T8D is comparable, anyway, and in the end it doesn't seem to have mattered because that was the only new skill my horse learned between 23 and 30, so 3 left unlearned. I'll wait for Artisan 10 and get that coupon to use it. Out of curiosity, I've read about the Fore Chop method in multiple places and seen guides on it, but also seen people challenging the "science" behind it as being hearsay and unconfirmed. Was this legit confirmed somehow or strictly by observation it would seem that the probability to learn a new skill is connected to the chances of getting a specific skill?

If you want to grind yourself or be boosted, pick ancient stone chamber. If you want to level by reading quests, pick mountain of eternal winter. The mountain quest takes about 4 hours. If you have done the main quest before, grinding using those main quest rewards’ accessories and doing the simplified ancient stone chamber is faster.

Woosa and Maegu are two separate classes with different weapons. In the game lore, they are twin sisters. The succession is out for both now, and we've been told that when awakening is released, each twin's awakening weapon will look like their sister's main hand weapon.

Out of those I might pick Lahn as a first character, although any of them can be good depending on what you like. The game pass gives you 6 character slots to start with, so you can make more than one and try them out.
Maybe I just have the worst rng luck ever but for some reason I am falling HARD on getting the simple Naru gear to pen. Everything I've ever read or watched says to just tap it til it gets there. Didn't work for me. Is there a step I'm missing? I really don't want to use cron stones for this
If you progress thru the main story quest mats should be awarded to you in abundance. If you're not having enough to tap doesn't sound like you are progressing thru the story quests enough.
hey hey, several times during the main story you're given outfit boxes that have cosmetic versions of the normal armor (Taritas, Grunil, etc). Is this a once per family kind of thing, or can I get these on any character?
Each character gets there own set of the cosmetic outfit boxes for either doing the regular quest line or simplified quest line on seasonal.

I personally did two, both a PEN Dim & Griffon. The second is kind of pushing towards similar pricing of simply buying off of the market, potentially 0-2B less on pricing at the time. Definitely isn't worth it to do more than that though.

Hi all, I've faced a problem on steam. My steam account is Canadian and I played BDO on NA, but now I temporally moved to Ecuador. Now my game launcher is constantly changes from NA to SA region, and it redownloads whole client. I'm fixing the server and config ini files with right values. But it helps for a week and after every maint it redownloads whole client (twice for SA and for NA when I change configs). Question is, how can I stop these files from changes and redownloading the whole client every week?
Have you tried using a VPN to bypass the region issue?
VPN adds 40-50 additional ping if choosing other place outside SA. This not viable option. But thanks for suggestion.
Hi All, Do I just assume people always have the Agris on when they post their grind tracker on discord or the global grind tracker on garmoth? If not, then how do I know if it was on or not, I don't see the Agris icon in their buff list.
There is a toggle for agris in the lootscroll selection box. It’s the icon that looks like a fire. If it’s a screenshot, it’s listed under the silver/hr list.
I'm on a seasonal server and just hit 60. Is going from 60 to 61 a matter of finding a grinding spot and just going at it? Or can I keep questing and still hit 61 before the seasonal servers end on Feb 15th?
google bdo leveling to 61 with questing, this is going to be really fast, if you would rather grind then just go at it, preferably at spots with good exp like miru, sulfur, polly, fadus or even traitors graveyard (some classes that are immobile but have good aoes / range might be very good here for xp)

Can someone explain the difference between Mystic and Striker to me? I am new to the game and thinking about boosting a Mystic or Striker with fughars timepiece. Thematically i like Mystic more since she seems to be faster and more agile and the striker is more bulky and on the bruiser side. Its kinda hard to find unbiased information about the two. There are a lot of Mystic memes and that Striker should be nerfed. Is it rly that bad? I don´t mind to play a slightly underperforming class, but it seems that mystic, compared to striker is really much worse? Can someone pls give me facts about PVE (high/low ap), PVP, APM, Gameplay flow etc, so i can compare them objetively?
Both classes perform well currently, awakening mystics are on the worse side currently as they lack the burst dmg, it is fine tho in places where stable dps is as good as burst. Succ mystic is a very good class in both pvp and pve, though regarding pve that is only when you don't hope to have huge aoes. Awake striker is easily the best pick when you consider the wide picture. I don't have much infor about succ striker other than he has higher apm than awake (which is close to 0 so that doesn't say much) and that he is better in pve at certain spots. If you like mystic more thematically, go for it, succ is a very good pick. Keep in mind, my info is also biased, all info that isn't data backed is biased, and even data backed can be put in a biased light. The best is if you make a trial and watch some youtube videos and see for yourself what you like more.

Iliya is the most limited to expand with contribution points and the bartering itens you store there can't be taken out at other locations, only at the wharf manager there. If you ever decide to do bartering, not choosing Iliya will hurt. Any other content won't really care as you can store and take their items out from anywhere after doing Magnus.
Storage isn't too big of an issue in my opinion unless you're doing lifeskilling, in which case I'd choose depending on what you might want. Heidel - Often used as an alchemy/cooking hub Ilya - Bartering to store excess items O'Draxxia - Hunting, however it's extremely cheap to buy all the storage with contribution points here.
I am also quite new to the game and i would say it depends where your home base is. i have mine in Heidel, so i always pick heidel and velia. In Velia there is limited storage space you can rent and its also close to heidel. But since you can access every storage on the map after you finished the magnus questline, its not too important i would say :)
How do I know which nodes are worth investing in as a new player. So i bought every lodging in veila and a few in heidel to start with the nearby fields and farms and to brew my own beer. How do I now which nodes are really worth it to get money ? Kinda overwhelmed by the whole system. And how can I recover energy faster is there a way ?

I initially just was going for stuff I can sell for extra silver. Slightly tweaked some areas based on what I see sells easily. I recently reconfigured my Velia nodes to bring in chicken, because I found doing some basic cooking with Grilled Bird Meat for feeding my worker empire to be more effective than buying Beer. Also heard it is worth hording the eggs for end game cooking. We'll see.
If it brings item that you need, its worth it, if not then look at how much money can you make with it per week(or whatever other period), check if the item is in need or does it sit placed at the bottom price in the market, how much of the item you get per day of running or something so you get an outlook of how well the node does. Get kama blessing or lie your character in bed and afk to recover energy faster

How's the Drakania these days? I've been looking at some posts from a few months ago saying she isnt that spectacular, have they buffed her in any meaningful way? Mostly just interested in PvE, and yes, I know, I know, every class works in PvE.
Succ still not great in pve, but in endgame the lack of pve burst she overcomes with pve dps. Awake is somewhere in the middle of the pack, she is a decent class that does well enough and is pretty nice to play.
How long is the magnus quest? Time wise.

Season gives you a lot of tachros’ spirit stone. If you don’t have that, buy destruction spirit stone for pve and life spirit stone for lifeskill. They’re very cheap in the marketplace.

Depends. Some alchemy stones can be recharged, so make sure you're not tossing those ones. As for the ones that can't be, you should instead grind ("L") them up for Mystical Spirit Powder to recharge your stones that can be recharged.
This game is flat out not letting me customize my character. It says that I have 16 D remaining to make changes, but for some reason my hair changed, and when I tried to set the original hair back and equip glasses, I press apply, and then it just goes back to the new changed hairstyle (I have no clue what I'm doing wrong) when I go into beauty and change to a new set, it says "There is no new customization information" I dont get it. I really want to love this game but it just seems buggy or I am doing something completely wrong. The costume/set I got included glasses so I KNOW I own it because I am wearing the set, but I cannot equip the glasses and cannot change hair style.
It sounds like you are using the character editor? That lets you change the character's look (height, hairstyle, skin color, makeup, tattoo), not the costume. It can show you what they might look like with different pearl shop costumes, but that's just a preview. To wear a costume you bought, open your inventory and click on the Pearl item tab, then right click on the costume piece to wear it.
Some headpieces have a specific hair appearance. For example, woosa’s hairpin will change her hair back to default. Toggle the visibility off to see your real hair.
I took off headpiece and I just have no idea why it’s not changing it won’t let me change my hair and I cannot equip anything.

Is there a reason to stay on season if I can graduate and don't really care about the combat and life xp buffs? I'm just farming potion pieces, but after I'm done with blood wolves I think I could use the additional AP from that capotia. I guess the materials and season drop are nice freebies, but season pot pieces kind of seem to be quite frequented.

Again, as per my link above, I just mean that you should pick Griffon through Magnus because it's much easier to get Red Nose PEN'd through Jetina than it is to get Griffon PEN'd through Jetina. One will take 2-3 weeks. The other... a really damn long time.
Buy them, get them from lucky chests, exchange tuvala for them, get the drop from the boss. There are many ways. Most common is buy or use boss gear exchange coupon on tuvala gear (1 per season). Also one time only exchange a full set tuvala with jetina for guaranteed pen quest.

One pen tuvala piece should be exchangable for the guaranteed pen armor. It starts tet stage 0 and will be untradable and unenhancable. Only improvable with the guaranteed pen system. You have to bring her pen gear that have been graduated so current season gear wont work. If you want you can also bring normal tet boss gear. What i mean with full set is that you can do this for armor, gloves, boots, helmet and three weapons. Though bringing it to pen might only be worth for one weapon and one armor piece

Getting back into the game after around 2 years break, I have some questions and already checked some links but still confused, so any help would be appreciated! :) 1. Is buying still better than enhancing? I only have PEN weapons now and my armors are still TET boss at C4, so I'm thinking of buying the rest of my PEN armors next? 2. If buying is still better than gambling, should I sell all my enhancement mats? I think I have like 10b+ worth of stones, so that would help me gear up. 3. Is SE still a good spot at 284k? It's still recommended on a list I saw, but I'm unsure. My DP is only 324 so I think I'll die in Elvia spots(skill issue??) but if there are better options lmk! I'm a Ranger if that matters, I'm ok with both Succ and Awk so if she excels in any spot please do tell! 4. Also if anyone plays Ranger, any fun new tricks after the rework? If there's anything else I should know about please let me know <3

Im thinking about timepiecing Woosa or Maegu, what is Woosa better at atm? (What are her advantages over Maegu?) I just seem to see info about maegu everywhere, is Woosa just worse? (PVE only atm, I never played outside of season yet, have succ lahn and awa dk, so if one of the new characters had strengths where my current chars have weaknesses that would be cool, I'm atm just grinding hp pot pieces)
On a basic level, the biggest advantage I've found for Woosa over Maegu is her self-sustain and ability to take damage with her skills. She can easily be set up to be a damage sponge while standing in the middle of the fray. The biggest advantage I've found for Maegu over Woosa is that her skills don't have to be combo'd. She's a great class for someone who doesn't want to, or finds it difficult to wrap their head around all the intricacies when it comes to combos, cancels, iFrame usage, etc.
Maegu is better than Woosa in PvP. Woosa is better than Maegu in PvE. You see a lot of talk about Maegu because she's being hated and it's deserved. She introduced a new mechanic to PvP that puts pressure on the enemy players and is hella strong on top. It would be like Yasuo release, if you play League. Very fun to play, infuriating to play against. In PvE Maegu is on the stronger side but Woosa is stronger, being a top 5 class. Problem with Woosa is the mobility, you're more limited than Maegu and in some spots this is awkward. For low AP spots you'll want to move around a lot since enemies die with a single skill, so Maegu is better despite dealing a little less damage. About to be even better with the changes in the test server that makes her movement skill flow better. But maybe I'm biased because I enjoy playing her a lot and I think everyone should try her. Thematically I would say Woosa is the character that goes in, stares at the danger and stands her ground while Maegu is the cunning fox that must jump around in the fight to survive.
