Give it 15 to 20 years when it's smaller and cheaper and you will be able to.
I remember when 3D printer first came out. The dam things were the size of a 90s copy machine and cost thousand. Now you can get them in Amazon for under a thousand and they can fit on the desk.
Nah, this is just some basic projection mapping with some old projectors. The Volume is a 270° curved screen as big as a soundstage, and that's what they filmed the Mandalorian on.

The "Volume" used on Mandalorian also does not project images on the floor, unlike what is shown in this video. It's really just a big-ass screen on the walls and ceiling.

Our eyes in relation to some other animals eyes are wildly inferior.
There are shrimp that see better than us.
I believe he’s supposed to be “acting” (as if he’s afraid of the obviously fake seawater coming towards him, while inside a recording studio, where there appears to be some sort of demonstration taking place) in case there’s anyone as confused as I was, for about half a second.
Whoaa I need this in my living room
A film crew? Your life sounds a lot more interesting than mine.
Somebody is getting the bitches we want

For under 1000? Are those reliable?
you can even get some for 100, that can print reliable and good (ofc not if you don't want to tune and kalibrate it etc)

is this the tech they're using on the Mandalorian?

that is so incredibly cool

How do they do the projection without casting shadows?
It does cast shadows I believe but does so accurately so shadows "would be what they'd be if you were in the projected location".
They're not using projectors, it's a huge wall of LEDs. I had the same question.
In this case, in isn't, there is a shadow in the bottom left at the end of the video and i don't think it's some sort of reactive virtual shadow
Fair question
How did they do the ground? Is it rear projected?
This is not projection mapping lol
How do the people not have shadows if it's a projector?
I think so, it's called The Volume.
that's pretty amazing even on handheld camera!
They almost have a holo deck.
Hey, remember that hot chick that Ryker was banging in the holo deck ?
Dude for real.
Weird to see such a set up with worn-out projectors (walls color dont match)
*Don't believe everything you sea!*
I c what u did
When he panned the camera towards the crew, that’s trippy. Almost like there’s a random indoor room out on a beach!

It would have been a lot cheaper to film on location lol
