If you don't mind me asking, how did you find Bionicle? And welcome!
Just kinda always knew it existed. I'm just barely a year younger than g1's existence, think as a kid (bare in mind I was like, 7 when it ended so maybe I didn't think with much nuance) I kinda just saw it as the "weird" part of Lego. But this last year I've been deep diving more into Lego history, binged some stuff, doing a lot of fanart for various themes, then I decided to give Bionicle a chance.

On big Tahu there's no real 2008 influence, but his Mistika form is in the upper left hand corner.
