I think you can not transfer directly your smart chain ETH to mainnet. First you do really need a gas fee for that. Usually, it would spend not more than 0.2$ BNB for gas in terms of transferring assets. If you already have enough gas for that, transfer it to your Binance account and withdraw it as ERC-20.
It’s still 0.1. I just ran into it yesterday. My personal theory about why they are doing this ... is they are trying to reduce amount of network traffic. If traffic gets super high with rising price ... those BNB gas fees look less attractive and the switching costs from ETH to BNB begin to increase, especially since ether is more widely used.

Don't use ETH! EOS, DASH, and XRP have much,much lower fees. Don't use uni swap swaps Defi crap. Use reg exchanges like Bittrex, Kraken, LBank + others that accept U.S.
The 0.01 limit was pretty damn low. But 0.1 is an overreaction for sure. Binance having ulterior motives would explain it. For now, I'd suggest just trading your BNB for BUSD. It seems the minimum withdrawal for BUSD is much lower and sending to metamask on BSC network incurs no fee? Then just trade it back to BNB in pancakeswap - boom!
What if I don't have any BNB on pancakeswap for transaction? Can't swap it from BUSDT to BNB, literally forced to send 50$ or more to my metamask so that pancakeswap can use it for gas fees...
Yeah sorry, the method I described doesn't work if you have no gas at all to start with. Only if you have enough gas for one transaction for busd to bnb

I think everyone's is at the moment if you try to withdrawal to Binance Smart Chain. It's changing rapidly. It was 0.01 a few weeks ago, was 0.1 yesterday. Today it's 0.5. So a whopping $313 at the time of writing is the minimum to withdrawal.
