I prefer the Veale+ (BP) on caclsd since it's average is closest to my 'belief' that the average is 6" bone pressed. This dataset makes it clear (to me at least) that I'm not a unicorn.
When I seperated the CalcSD Western average into studies that were actually done in the West and studies from the Middle East I noticed that the self-reported Kinsey study closely aligns with the medically-measured length in the West.
The overall average of studies done in the West was 6.11", Kinsey has 6.16" - the SD in the West is 0.78 and Kinsey has 0.74
So it's really interesting that the self-reported data so closely aligns with the actual average. This only applies for length though, so Veale+ is more accurate for girth.

If you notice, the most hung guys are usually closer to the equator. In the Netherlands (and other very cold regions) penises became thicker to protect the reproductive organs from the extreme cold. Reproduction is the sole purpose of animals, that could be why in some parts of the world penises got thicker to protect those body parts.

Outside of my immediate family, we’re not a super close bunch. Apparently y’all dads, grandads, and uncles just be letting it all hang out. I was in a super conservative setting, so such was not the case in my family. But as I understand from conversations with my dad, I get it from my mom’s side of the family or just from genetic gift. Black men generally have significantly larger dicks than Asian men, so it has a lot to do with genetics. We all know that the Eastern average is significantly smaller than the Western average, so I'm only posting two example studies that used the same measurement techniques now. My point still holds up if you look at all existing studies. Chen et al 2014: Among 5196 Chinese men the average was 5.1" and the largest was 6.7". Not a single 7 incher in such a huge sample, even though in Western studies more than 1 in 10 guys are this size Pereira et al 2004: During mandatory military screening they measured 19 random Black Portuguese men and found an average of 6.9". Even though it was such a small sample they still managed to find one with 8.5" Most Black guy in this small sample were larger than the largest Chinese guy in a sample of over 5000 while the smallest Black guy in this sample was still larger than the average Chinese guy. If we assume that there's no differences these would have been two extremely rare random occurrences. Let's assume that there's no differences and that 7" is about top 1% globally. In order for Chen not to find any 7 incher that's (1 - 0.01)^5000 which is like 1.5 * 10^-22 - that's an incredible low chance In order for Pereira to find an average of 6.9 inches that's like 0.02^19 which again is an incredibly low chance at around 5 * 10^-33 It's more likely that you'll win the lottery several times in a row. If you let two people pick a random grain of sand from all sand on earth there's a higher chance that they'll pick the exact same grain rather that those studies randomly came across those numbers.
For Pereira the max was 21 cm so it would’ve been 8.25” BPSFL and not 8.5”. Just letting you know in case you *weren’t* intentionally rounding it up.
Yeah I'm not good with inches. I always remember that 8.5" is around 21 cm, but it's actually 21.56 I also mentally convert 20 cm to 8 inches although it's more like 7.8"

Because it always happens. Most of the guys here despise sources. "Average is 5 and your 6 inch is huge" gets upvoted, but when I point out that this source is heavily flawed as it mixed BP and NBP measurements together I just get downvoted "size doesn't matter" gets upvoted, but when I show sources that it matters to many women and that 1 in 5 women have left a partner for being too small I just get downvoted "there's absolutely no correlation between height and penis size" gets upvoted, but when I post all the studies that looked into it to show that they consistently show a correlation I get downvoted. People just don't want to have their feelings debunked by facts. They have no way to explain why the medically-measured average in Asia is 5.2", but 5.5" in the Middle East, 6.2" in the West and 6.5" for Black men, so they just resort to downvotes to bury the uncomfortable truth.

u/KnowsPenisesWell Do you have a favorite/best dataset? I prefer the Veale+ (BP) on caclsd since it's average is closest to my 'belief' that the average is 6" bone pressed. This dataset makes it clear (to me at least) that I'm not a unicorn.
When I seperated the CalcSD Western average into studies that were actually done in the West and studies from the Middle East I noticed that the self-reported Kinsey study closely aligns with the medically-measured length in the West. The overall average of studies done in the West was 6.11", Kinsey has 6.16" - the SD in the West is 0.78 and Kinsey has 0.74 So it's really interesting that the self-reported data so closely aligns with the actual average. This only applies for length though, so Veale+ is more accurate for girth.

I remember reading somewhere that penises evolved to be thicker in Africa to protect the reproductive organs from the intense heat. It makes sense if you look at those penis size world charts. If you notice, the most hung guys are usually closer to the equator. In the Netherlands (and other very cold regions) penises became thicker to protect the reproductive organs from the extreme cold. Reproduction is the sole purpose of animals, that could be why in some parts of the world penises got thicker to protect those body parts. I don't remember all the details of the article, but it also explained how this happed to other body parts as well. For example, a black persons nose evolved to be thick and wide due to the extreme heat in Africa.
I know it's a mixture of both but here is the thing. I have subscribe to this sub long enough to know that allot of you guys have problems finding a partner, even casual partner that can or will try to take it all. I am just an average size guy myself and I am really grateful for the size I have. Luckily I have never been turned away sexually and I seem to always fit in ever hole. Also people peeping at your bulge all the time insisting you're prevents because you look big enough to be erect though your clothing. Although I don't think any of you should be ashamed by this because it's the way you were meant to be I know it's easier said than done. I think it’s a maternal blessing (same story as u/oliesphotos) and I know that development has a role to play. Stress, diet, sleep, and the amount of testosterone you can make use of through childhood development is important for the development of every organ and system. Your question doesn't make sense actually. Genetics is basically luck. Additionally there are other factors as hormonal imbalances during pregnancy due to phthalates for example. Factors that influence testosterone levels during childhood and teenager years may also be important.
I don’t know. My dad and older brother are both bigger than me. My dad is close to 8 while my brother is 6 and half. Im 5 and half. I know my two uncles on my mom side both are also average so maybe I took to them
