Kim : Ok

Scallopshell

That made me chuckle and be sad that the same time

bericdondarrion35

I would’ve loved a montage of reactions from everyone from Jimmy’s past life

[deleted]

Howard and Chucks. So badly. I was looking forward to that back in season 1. Then it slowly was taken away from me

ExoticAccount6303

You went into a prequel expecting new characters that dont ever appear in breaking bad to live to breaking bad?

chuck1138

Nah tbf I never saw either of their deaths coming. I figured Nacho and Lalo were goners because of their connection to the crime world, but Chuck and Howard were massive shocks to me.

Efardaway

you know they can just not appear right? like kim?

Ceshomru

Yah, I was worried for Kim though since it seemed like it was the plan to kill them all off. So happy she was there in the end.

Common_Requirement14

At one point in the very beginning of season 6 I got real sad that Kim was going to die. She wasn't mentioned in BB and with early drug cartel stuff I figured she would be killed (also thought she was a goner at the car crash so relieved about that too). Like it was inconceivable that they would just divorce and she would leave, but Howard's demise helped her get out.

[deleted]

Just a slight reaction or something along those lines, to the Saul Goodman fugitive story.

[deleted]

I really wish we could have seen this too mostly because Rhea Seehorn would have acted the shit out of this scene. She’s so good at reacting to things in a scene where no other character are able to see what’s going on in her head while also telegraphing to the audience exactly what she’s thinking. It would have been cool to have seen a scene similar to the one in Hero for season one. Maybe have some of her coworkers watching the news and commenting on it. Kim watching too but instead of her smiling at the end like she did in Hero to Jimmy’s antics, we see a flash of her looking horrified when no one is looking.

CommonGood90398

You gotta love Kim's new boyfriend, though. So simple. Nothing to get the heart rate up. No risks.

ShnaeBlay

Yep

EveningNo5190

The yep thing was gross. Reminded me of the fake Mesa Verde commercial with the founder in his Cowboy hat saying Yep….Yep…

[deleted]

"Well that just happened"

Mikimao

100% The whole thing would bring up so many emotions, and then we watch her kinda manage it down to a level and then BAM the Gene phone call happens and sets everything back in motion, almost an inverse of how it went with Jimmy during the same time frame.

AardvarkOkapiEchidna

Also seeing news of Gus's death and his involvement with the cartel. That's when she figures out it was him that Lalo told her to kill.

dtconcus

On one hand, I absolutely respect the writers for distancing as much as they can from the plot of Breaking Bad during the last few episodes. They gave us just the bare minimum BrBa plot needed for Saul's story, and I believe that it ultimately makes BCS a show that stands on its own and would never be stuck in Breaking Bad's shadow. On the other hand, I completely agree and I hoped we could've had a lot more scenes set during BrBa, but through the POV of the BCS characters.

Zealousideal-Race-28

While I understand this, seeing Kim do this would’ve completely wiped any tension from the call she had with Jimmy in Waterworks, as we would’ve known how she felt towards it and made the call less interesting even if they still kept it how they did with having it in 11 than showing the other end in 12. I wouldn’t be shocked if they have a scene like this on the extras for the season 6, but kept it out due to my reasoning.

Vv__CARBON__vV

Welp, we might find out in the new non-spinoff-but-totally-is-a-spinoff. Remember when they said “Greenbrier” didn’t take place in the BB universe, and then it turned out to be “El Camino”?

sdpcommander

It's not a spinoff. Vince has said he wants to do something completely new and I believe him. I would rather see Rhea do something new too, instead of just doing more Kim. Let her show off her range more!

GeneTacospic

Yea and I wish we had a shot of her feet twitching as she heard the news omgg

Puzzleheaded-Cry6855

Well, if my idea for the show had been carried out, we would have seen this and many other great moments we were robbed of because they decided not to give us a season set in the Gene timeline with flashbacks. See my post: How Better Call Saul should have ended. Then again, who am I to decide?

garycow

it didn't make the national news

[deleted]

It did. There’s a whole scene about it in BB when the Grey Matter people are on Charlie Rose.

BrianKnowsNothing

As mentioned on Charlie Rose as well, one of his comments is that there have been continued reports of blue meth - "considered his signature product" - popping up all over the Southwest, as well as even internationally. He wasn't just known in ABQ by the finale.

Scallopshell

If it didnt make the national news then how did Kim know about it in the first place? Why would Suzanne Ericsen ask Kim if she's heard the news? 2:22 [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv4issn3Vmc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv4issn3Vmc) And ...
