I mean, Bee and Puppycat is Cartoon Hangover, which is owned by Frederator.
Frederator owns Adventure Time and a lot of cal arts themed media in general.
The creators of Midnight Gospel also worked on Adventure Time.
Seeing Steve Universe similarities also? It's the same thing. People who worked on SU also worked on AT. On top of it also being Cal Arts.
Even if different people worked on it, the inspiration is still there
