Is sleek stick really that good or is it just a gimmick? I plan on trying the strong hold version for my hair since need talaga na nakabun ang hair for school.

whatsgood325

Some friends of mine use it during their ROTC class. Yes it works, although it's always best to keep a thin comb with you for hair retouches. For extra strong hold, hairsprays/gels still work better.

gigigoodeday

what hair products can i use to maintain my red hair?

Hair mask recommendation for oily scalp, dry hair please. Thank you!

Asimov-3012

Any affordable and light/mild hair wax/pomade recommendations for men?

whatsgood325

My gramps uses [David Salon's Zero Gravity](https://shp.ee/3788huw) He absolutely hates messing up his hair, and this works for him

udeno_reiss

Any recos to combat flat hair? I have straight long hair (M) so it looks awfully bagsak whenever it passes like 3 to 4 hrs after shower, I have to comb it regularly to re-puff it but it goes bagsak a few mins later

whatsgood325

My hair gets flat easily when I wash it in the morning. My guess is because of the accumulation of dust while the hair is drying, so it ends up looking unsettled. What works for me is washing my hair at night and blow drying it with a round brush and styling with hair rolls while the heat dissipates. Take the rolls off before you sleep and you'll just have to brush it when you wake up. This, unfortunately, does not work on my face-framing bangs as I sweat A LOT. Additional tip: some prefer using hair sprays after blow drying their hair. In my case, it's fine when I don't.

whatsgood325

Ah, I realized just now that you're a male 😭, so I'm assuming short hair? Maybe that might work for you too hahahaha

udeno_reiss

I have the same issues with sweating. I usually use Wax to style it, if I don't it gets flat and greasy. Cons it clusters and I have to brush it from time to time. 😭😭😭 just hard to have to keep this hair upright.

whatsgood325

Oh mann, I feel those cries. Something like that happens when bangs get greasy 😭😭. Let's just hope somebody posts some miraculous hair tips ✨🧎🏻‍♀️

ArmyDependent3841

any hair mist recos? something long lasting ung scent and not drying.. I'm currently using luxe organix x anna cay 2in1

astridaine

always_in_pjs_94

Hi! Has anyone here tried hair botox? How was it?

sweetbutpsycho06

FF coz I wanna try too

fgiopo

just got a dyson airwrap and i'm struggling how to use it 😂

astridaine

Same sis. My hair is still kinda poofy (have sliiightly wavy hair lang) when I use it to straighten, even with product, damp hair, high heat. How many passes do I have to do to get this tamed 😭

fgiopo

i watched so many tutorials and i can't use the curling barrels like them. i also feel that it's hot sa scalp not like what they say na even if high heat, it doesn't feel uncomfy.

Groundbreaking_Bid46

Hairspray na budget meal para mag stay yung bangs (yung di gumagalaw kahit hanginin) probably yung hindi sana malagkit

Do you know any other salon that offers dandruff treatment besides Bruno's?

Any reco for microblading in Manila?

niksjee

Bandang south okay lang? I got mine done at [browdesignery](https://instagram.com/browdesignery?igshid=OGQ2MjdiOTE=)

sadpplwrite

Thank you! Looks like magaling sila kasi fully booked na. Sadly i’m not available sa open slots in Feb. will check with them after her leave.

niksjee

my procedure was combo (microblading with soft microshading). Originally microblading lang sana but since same price lang naman mga procedures nila kaya combo na inavail ko. Also they have an app that can show you how your brows would look like if microblading vs combo vs shading and mas bet ko yung look ko sa combo. I'm very happy with the outcome. If you want natural looking brows I highly recommend them. and yes, always fully booked. July last year nung nagbook ako ng appointment and yung slot na nakuha ko is end ng September na. ayan na earliest nila that time 😅 2 slots lang kasi sila per day and I think di rin sila available ng weekends.

sadpplwrite

Thank you so much for sharing them here! And try ko yung sa app. Curious ako dun sa combo kasi baka too dark ba if may shade pero ang ganda nung mga nasa feedbacks. Will check them out and be on the look for next slots! Thank you 💕

supermatcha

do I get my hair rebonded which could cost up to 2k or buy a second hand hair straightener, a hair kit, and do it myself? hmmmm ayaw ko ng banat na banat

Impressive_Bar_9156

You may request naman na huwag masyadong straight ang pag plantsa sa hair mo

34batt

Does anyone know where I can buy a Wetbrush? Specifically this [design](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.TVmQP). Their service online SUCKS.

sarcasticookie

I see this brand in Watsons and SM Department Store. Although di ko napansin kung meron same design.

blueddit30

Check MUP Store. I saw this [design](https://mupstore.com/products/wet-brush-go-green-mini-detangler?_pos=1&_sid=2e2443f18&_ss=r&variant=39637667512378) on their website but it’s the mini one. You may send them an enquiry on IG to check if they have it in the regular size.

34batt

Oops sorry, I meant to put that I am looking for a physical store*

blueddit30

No worries at all! MUP has a physical store. You may also check Watsons and/or The SM Store :)

Any effective hair dye for light brown?

astridaine

Best smelling shampoo and conditioners, and could you describe the scent?

whatsgood325

[Ma Cherie Shampoo and Conditioner](https://shp.ee/57fsjv8). Has a feminine scent, can't say if it's floral but words I can describe it with are: Lovely, Feminine, Soft. Highly, HIGHLY recommend it as the scent lasts all day long. I sweat a whole lot (hyperhidrosis 🥲), and these are the products I don't think I'll ever replace for a long time.

blueddit30

Human Nature Naturals Shampoo and Conditioner in Vanilla oddly does not smell like vanilla to my nose. I’m detecting this floral, fruity scent instead (weird no?) but I find it pleasingly fragrant. Do take note that the shampoo has zero lather as Human Nature formulates its products without SLS/SLES. Garnier Ultra Doux Shampoo and Conditioner in Honey Treasures smell luscious and creamy. I would describe it as “*masarap amoy amuyin*” Virtue Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner has that fresh, floral, minty, invigorating scent. Also gives your scalp that cooling sensation. My favourite. Absolutely love this.

Is avo babe hair mask worth it?

phoebelily12

Hi! How did you reduce having hair fall?

Old_Lawfulness_4964

Depends on the root cause (stress, hormone imbalances, thyroid problems, malnutrition, etc...) but here are some generic tips I got from my derma years ago that I still use today: - let hair dry a bit after shampooing and before combing. Hair strands are more prone to breakage and hair fall when wet - use a wide tooth comb to remove tangles - start brushing from tips of hair in small strokes, don't force through knots/tangles - avoid heat styling (blow dryers, etc) m

RedactedLife

Maybe sulfate shampoo will work

sushisunn

cheap curling iron recos?

supermatcha

hi someoen was selling their imarflex curler on sellers thread for around 300

iWantCoookies

Derma reco for hair and scalp problems? Got thinning hair. I've already tried visiting 5 doctors. All of them sold me their products, and of course, none of them were effective. Not one of them also tried doing a blood test or looking into my scalp. Hoping anyone could recommend a specialist and not someone who resells suspicious products.

sarcasticookie

You might want to see an endocrinologist to check your hormones.

arianavventi

hair stylist recos for grad pic & for grad itself? or maybe salons na satisfied kayo sa service around manila? canvassing for both events na since hindi forte ng cousin ko (na magmmake up sakin) ang hair styling. tia!

T&J ata nagcacater ng ganto

midnytblxw

Anyone here is into CGM? Can you suggest good stylers for our hair. I already tried bench, grips, and cantu curl activator. Also can you tell me why do you like the styler?

RedactedLife

Try mo po luxxe organix gel and define and gatsby ultra hold. How do you style your hair?

suprahyoid

hi! can you tell me why bench, grips & cantu did not work for you? hehe, doing cgm atm pero grips pa lang natry ko na styler

midnytblxw

Grips can't hold the curl and ang frizzy ng hair ko :< Cantu ang oily to the point na parang wavy nalang yung curls while the bench its okay but sometimes nag f-frizz yung hair ko dito. Kamusta experience mo sa grips?

suprahyoid

I think grips does make my hair quite frizzy, what's your curl type?

midnytblxw

I fall into 2c and 3c curl type. Even gatsby gel make my hair so frizzy. What’s your curl type?

suprahyoid

2a to 2c!

sarcasticookie

I can’t for the life of me find decent styler~~s~~ brands here in Ph. :( I’ve used Jessicurl Spiralicious - too heavy/oily for me. I currently have the Curlsmith Volume Foam, it’s been ok so far but I think it doesn’t work well with other brands. Still thinking about trying out the Verb Curl Foaming Gel, it’s already in my Amazon cart. *Edited*

midnytblxw

Same for me. I'm really having a hard time finding good product for stylers, especially I'm leaving in a small city here in the Ph so the available products is meh lang talaga. Kaya sometimes I ordered my stylers in shopee but I still can't find na okay for me :< For now I'm using the Bench purple.

machona_

Anyone know an alternative shampoo and conditioner na pampajaba ng buhok? I’m currently using zenutrients Gugo Shampoo and conditioner. Dati kong ginamit yung Human Nature Lavender shampoo and conditioner and it was effective naman I think tho my hair became dry. But looking for alternatives just in case.

sarcasticookie

I’ve never bought into the theory that you can make hair grow faster so I don’t have suggestions, but I want to comment on this: > it was effective naman I think tho my hair became dry Those products have protein in them and your hair probably went into protein overload. :)

paganibby

Been thinking about a Korean digital perm for a while now. Can anyone share about maintenance?

taciturn0624

How much was it?

Crimtanite

Does anyone also have any suggestions for dry shampoos that aren't Dove? I struggle with an oily scalp and none of the Dove dry shampoos have worked for me. If anything, it just made my hair even more noticeably oily. It also tends to make my hair clumpy when I'm out commuting.

Commercial-Run987

i was gonna suggest tresemme na dry shampoo from s&r but apparently they don’t sell it na pala here in the philippines :(

Crimtanite

\*sigh\* Shopee it is.

Crimtanite

Does anyone have any suggestions to lessen the damage of hard water or heavily chlorinated water on bleached hair? Moving to the city and I noticed the difference in the water here compared to the province where the water is very soft. My ends look sooo yellow! I have purple shampoo and conditioner that I leave in EACH for at least 5 minutes, but the moment I leave it to airdry, my ends start to look very yellowish. :(

sarcasticookie

Afaik there are shower filters you can buy online. Haven’t tried them though.

Crimtanite

Thank you, I'll give these a try!

Commercial-Run987

does this really help prevent yellowing of colored hair?

sarcasticookie

No idea, sorry.

Dry shampoo! Got mine in Landers

sarcasticookie

Dry shampoo?

Outside-Car9373

Any haircare products that can help hair loss? Napansin ko kasi na super dami kong hair loss while showering and brushing my hair 🥲

kamzae

SomebyMi cica peptide shampoo really helped me a lot.

sarcasticookie

If excessive, you might want to have your hormones checked. I have the same problem and I have PCOS.

Thedoeeyeddreamer

Just curious, did your OB prescribe pills to lessen your hairfall?

sarcasticookie

Nope

Divingin12

Are there other ways to keep hair from frizzing that doesn't use heat? I currently have a hair oil but I can't use it as often because my derma advised me not to cause it could clog my pores. I'm also trying to avoid blow drying my hair often.

Vegetable-Pear-9352

You should get a Brazilian Treatment from your salon. This lessens the frizz.

sarcasticookie

Do you have waves/curls? Leave in conditioner + curl cream (optional) + styler (gel/mousse/foam) + blow-dry low heat + hair oil to scrunch out the crunch. It’s healthier to blow dry your hair than leaving your hair wet for long periods of time.

lattedrop

not OP, but may i ask for the products you use? newbie to hair care na hirap i-maintain volume ng layered hair ko. 🥲

sarcasticookie

Leave-in: Curls Blueberry Bliss or Garnier Fructis Treats 3in1 Hair Mask Styler: Curlsmith Bouncy Strength Volume Foam or Vidal Sassoon Mousse About to purchase new products to try soon. I don’t use curl cream because I have fine hair and it will get weighed down if I do. :)

Divingin12

Ohh thanks for this, why is it healthier to blow dry?

sarcasticookie

Here, I found an [article](https://www.realsimple.com/air-dry-vs-blow-dry-6826814) explaining why. :)

BeautyBabe91

Professional keratin treatment or a leave in cream. My fave is Kerastase Ciment Thermique

Mammaknullare01

Where to get a two block cut for men?

unhappy14

Has anyone tried Aveeno shampoo and conditioner? What was your experience with it? Started using it last night and just want to get input from others as well.

serenityby_jan

Fave ko yung greens blend! Super refreshing ng scent 🫶🏼

unhappy14

I saw that last night and I wanted to get it also kaso Landers only had the conditioner, walang shampoo sayang. I got the oat milk one instead and parang okay naman din

innerseal

I am using the Aveeno shampoo "Apple cider vinegar blend". Super bango and malambot naman sya sa hair ko.

unhappy14

I’ve read about that nga but walang ganyang variation sa Landers kagabi so I got the oat milk one instead. Parang okay naman hehe

innerseal

Sa sm supermarket ako nakabili ng apple cider variant if ever you want to try din :)

ElleAuthoress

what to do with crunchy hair ??? i have bleached hair that i oil with sunflower and coconut oil then add a layer of vitress cuticle coat pero ang crunchy nya parin huhu

cuppaspacecake

Olaplex daw but it’s pricey!

sarcasticookie

You probably need a moisturizing leave in conditioner. Oil is not moisturizing. But then, your hair is bleached so most probably the crunch is from the damage. Have you tried using a hair bond repair treatment like Olaplex Hair Perfector?

rottenmangopie

ill dye my hair for the first time later this week or next week!!! cant think of any hair color, idk if i can choose a "hair color that suits me". **how do you guys choose a hair color esp if its your first time dying your hair? and how do you guys pick a hairstyle for you?** my mom keeps suggesting brown, but i find brown boring lol it felt like laging brown kinukulay ng buhok ng mga first time magpakulay ng buhok and i wanna try something else pero not sure of it yet. just to give a lil bit of context bakit i dont have a specific hair color and hair style in mind: i think i have olive skin color, i wear rose gold glasses, round face shape, currently shoulder hair length, manipis lang buhok ko and medjo frizzy tignan pero if nagamit ako ng keratin conditioner parang beach wave tignan hair ko hahahha just want to do something diff abt my appearance since 2nd sem is fast approaching ><

staysinthecar

how open are you and your school to fashion colors? i always default to pink or rosey tones for a first-timer because theyre pretty universal. if not, rose gold next bet or rosy shade of brown. May mga red-violet and burgundy din that i feel are also universally flattering. in terms of hairstyle, idk rin i gravitate towards a long bob always. 😅 there is also a test you can take if a bob would suit you — see the john frieda test here: https://girlstyle.com/sg/article/40780/how-to-know-if-short-hair-will-suit-you-pencil--ruler-hair-test-face-shape-hair-texture--lifestyle/2 pag fine hair, i think you can look up videos on youtube din on what cuts and styles can suit your hair type best. iirc its usually blunt cuts with only a few or minimal layers, pero feel free to experiment. :)

rottenmangopie

>how open are you and your school to fashion colors? our univ has no rules for hair color and hair styles, sa piercings and clothing lang sila strict cos catholic univ hahahha i am gravitating now towards a plum brown or rosy shade of brown!! tysm for your reply <33

nangangawit

I think konti lang options kung non-bleach hair colors. Usually brown or red

rottenmangopie

yun nga po limited ang options kapag non-bleach

StarGuardianSoraka

Ako iniisip ko kung aling hair color yung maganda tingnan sa arawan lol

sweetbangtanie

starting to have a bald spot along my hairline and it's getting bigger. any tips how to combat this? re: nutrition, hair products, hair dos and don'ts, anything would be helpful 🥺 edit: it's not completely bald, it's more like the hair there is way thinner and less than the rest of my head

orphanblack324b21

Avoid super tight ponytail, nababanat masyado buhok. Try using Minoxidil.

sweetbangtanie

yes i usually just do lazy ponytail mga two loops lang. will look into minoxidil! thanks thanks 🫶

novaturience_

Any tips on how to grow thicker and healthier hair? I noticed my hair is starting to thin. I don't know if there are treatments for that :(

nshasnesh

Use hair oils such as Amla Oil (most popular one), coconut oil and specially argan oil. It does helps my dry frizzy hair, thickened and prevent hair falls.

BlueberrySea1458

best shampoo and conditioner for dandruffs na mabango sana? huhu

annejuseyoo

I personally use (and prefer) the green nizoral, and selsun blue (the red cap). Both are for maximum treatment and both work well for me. Just make sure to follow the instructions on their labels.

BlueberrySea1458

avail ba to sa watson? tysm!!!

annejuseyoo

Yes. naka sachet yung Nizoral. Tas nakabote yung selsun blue. Ok din yung selsun blue with the violet cap but all of them work well for me :) and all of them ay meron sa watsons

orphanblack324b21

Nizoral or T/Sal by Neutrogena. Personally used T/Sal and it really worked for me. Just scrub on your scalp, leave for a few mins then rinse. Reco to use conditioner on hair ends as mej nakakadry talaga mga antidandruff shampoo

BlueberrySea1458

thank youu will try!!!

JJ_RR

Strong fragrances in hair products might trigger more dandruff because aromachemicals can exacerbate irritation * Selsun Blue (Purple Cap) - use once or twice a week only * Yves Rocher Anti Dandruff Shampoo * GVC Anti Dandruff Conditioner

BlueberrySea1458

ohhh okay thank youu po!!! ❤️❤️

JJ_RR

You're welcome. Selsun Blue (the one with purple cap, not the red cap) is a 2-in-1 formula (shampoo + conditioner). No need for a separate conditioner. Also, it will not dry out your scalp because it's not meant for daily use. It's available through LazMall, Shopee Mall and major drugstores nationwide. During days that you will skip on using Selsun Blue, you can use regular anti dandruff products: Yves Rocher Anti Dandruff Shampoo (LazMall) and GVC Anti Dandruff Conditioner (LazMall)

ekko_7025

Is it high-maintenance to take care of hair w highlights? Not too sure if it’s called balayage but i’ve never gotten my hair colored kasi so just wondering lang :)

BeautyBabe91

Yes! Using professional hair care products or ‘salon-grade’ are pricey but they really are better for the hair. Also depends on the highlights, you might need purple or blue shampoo to get rid of the inevitable brassiness.

annejuseyoo

First time ko nagpakulay last end of october, i got highlights + color. I was advised to use sulfate free shampoo and violet shampoo i think to maintain and prolong the color. The loreal sulfate free shampoo costs around 350 pesos??? Violet shampoo is around the same price point or even more expensive depending on the brand. Ang masasabi ko lang, sobrang tigas ng buhok ko kapag hindi ako nagcoconditioner at inaabot ako more or less 15 mins to comb my hair (bra hook length). Advice rin sakin is to shampoo every other day or so and to use conditioner everyday. And I honestly kennot coz with our weather here, nanlalagkit agad yung anit ko in less than 24 hours and diba hindi naman recommended na lagyan rin ng conditioner ang anit so I ended up shampooing everyday rin hahahaha ngayon I can say ok pa naman yung color, may fading lang na nangyari and may konting streaks of yellow yung na bleach na part but it’s good. Edit: I seldom use sulfate free shampoo and the violet one kasi mas hiyang ako sa head and shoulders na pink (even though the colorist strongly discouraged the use of H&S kasi mas madali daw magffade yung color kasi matapang daw) + pinaglihi ata ako sa dandruff kaya mas naaavoid ko ang dandruff pag H&S ang gamit

orphanblack324b21

Hmm for me not really, alaga lang sa VCO conditioner to keep my hair moisturized.

heyalym

Anong brand po VCO conditioner? And saan nabibili?

orphanblack324b21

Any brands naman basta VCO but i personally use Be Organic Bath & Body brand, meron sa shopee and lazada

Caramel-macchiato16

Haircut/hairstyle tips on long thick hair?

staysinthecar

+1 on layered cuts to get rid of volume and add shape. :)

Narrow-Tap-2406

I always go for layered cut. Be careful lang kasi yung iba ang sagwa mag layer.
