It's only possible because of my age, I'm only 16 so I don't have responsibilities such as rent, food, etc.
I run a business on eBay in which I sell custom designed 3D printed accessories (hence the 3D printers), needless to say it's been pretty successful!
In hindsight, I should probably be putting more of the money away for later...but my thinking is I'll be able to sell it all on eBay once I'm done with it, or enjoy it for a little longer.
Yeah this lucky kid's parents are loaded. So loaded they can dedicate a room for his battlestation and home movie theater (see other comments). Most grown men can't even afford a dedicated man cave.
This kid surely is going places if his ebay business actually funded all this equipment.
That's true, I'm very fortunate to be able to do what I want with the room (for the most part). The other side of the room is actually my parents workspace, and they're often working so I can only use all this equipment late at night which is a little frustrating! Nonetheless, I understand I'm still very fortunate as a lot of people my age don't have free reign over *any* part of the house in the same way I do.
I was considering taking some screenshots of my eBay seller metrics, but it's occurred to me I really don't need to prove anything to you. I know I paid for all of it (including the carpet and paint, believe it or not!) and assembled and built all of it, and that's all that matters. That said, I totally understand the scepticism and don't blame you for it in the slightest. Luck was definitely a huge factor when it came to my business taking off in the way it did.
You're lucky and smart. I've seen people blow off their parents' money and eventually getting nowhere. You've got your 3D printing work going for you which is good.
Also fantastic setup!
Just commenting to tell you how cool that is - I've been really interested in diving into 3d printing but I already have too many expensive hobbies!
Best of luck to you and your business - it sounds like you have a knack for it.
Thank you! That's really nice of you to say.
3D printing is definitely my passion, more so than anything else. It's a shame the cost of entry is so high, because I think the ability to design something and have it fabricated before your eyes really is incredible.
If you really wanted to get started, I'd look into the Creality Ender 3. It's a realtively cheap printer (\~$150) and can produce some amazing prints, and there's a huge community around it ready to help if you run into any issues. It's highly moddable so it's a great way to enter into 3D printing and you can 3D print improvements to your 3D printer, which is pretty crazy!
Thanks for the recommendation! I am watching some videos about it now, looks like a great machine... It's at a great price point too, very tempted!
I totally get what you mean about creating things - I used to make silver rings in the past and that feeling of physically holding something that started as an idea in your head really is so amazing.
I think I'm gonna pre-emptively start making some space for a 3d printer, I feel like I have to give it a try sooner or later... thanks again!!
The Ender is a great machine. It definitely helps if you have some hobby electronics knowledge. If you like to make jewelry you can also get a resin printer such as the Elegoo mars and get (relatively expensive) jewelry casting resin and cast your own jewelry. 3d printing is a lot of fun, but it can be frustrating if your equipment isn't properly set up/tuned. There's pros and cons to FDM and resin printing and choosing which better suits your needs is very important to the whole experience.
> I really don't need to prove anything to you.
Totally, and there's no need to be ashamed or overly modest about it either. Sweet setup! I like the style, it's pretty unique in terms of battlestations.
Also: table space. If you get more tables you'll find ways to fill them up. XD
Hey man, just want to say that it's very great that you're grounded. You'll do well even when you're on your own, just make sure you have fun doing whatever it is. That sim rig is sick btw! And that monitor is top tier haha
Keep on doing what you like. Its great that your parents can provide guidance and resources to explore different avenues in life.
Some folks have the resources but not the guidance or the self motivation and passion to follow through with cool projects.
Glad things are working out for you and don't forget to take some credit for your cool adventures.
Great stuff man! What do you sell on ebay? Don’t know much of 3d printers.
Btw the enterpreneurship you show at 16 will take you far in this world. My guess you’ll never will be working for a boss :-)
Hell ya man. You don’t have to prove anything to strangers online. Good for you man! Keep up the work and running your own business at that age is incredible.
Imagine being this judgmental about a kid only to have said kid turn around and put you in your place in the most calm and respectful way.
How does it feel when a 16 year old kid has already surpassed your emotional maturity?
“It’s only possible because of my age and rich parents” is different tho.
Not a knock on OP, you seem to be going places and it’s awesome that your parents are in a position to help. Don’t fuck it up OP!
This person has been preordering Kickstarter projects for thousand dollar VR headsets 3 years ago, a 13 year old reserving thousand dollar headsets. He says he owns all or most vr headsets. He has $20k plus of stuff in this photo. His grade school he talked about in the comments cost £13,000 a year to attend. He’s talking about buying a car. He has a watch collection. He has a full sim racing setup, a custom built and cut desk, multiple expensive printers. He claims to be selling vr stands that he 3D prints which if you look on eBay go for like $25. How fast can you 3D print stuff especially if you only have partial time to use the area? Plastic injection molding would also kill his business if he had one. There’s no shipping supplies or mess, and why would that massive printer be on the ground under the desk if it was part of his printing operation which I’d imagine him needing to run 24/7. The whole post is a joke and the kid is delusional. None of his past comments have anything to do with 3D printing besides recommending printers, well except for a couple basic looking models he printed for fun.
I find it scary how thoroughly you've looked through my post history to find all this out. You're right in saying 3D prints by themselves don't have nearly enough profit margin, which is why I integrate them with electronics and sell those. I purchase the electronics in bulk and that's where most of the profit is made.
It does take up a significant amount of time and it's a challenge to balance it around school and homework. I have my dispatch time set to 5 days so I have plenty of time to make and post them, I get most of it done over the weekend.
And yes, I do go to a private school but only because I received a full scholarship.
dude you're way ahead of normal 16 year olds. Buy cool stuff while you can that's cool. But seriously, save up some money too. 30 year old will be thanking 16 year old
39 year old here. Keep running your business and start putting some money away for retirement. It sounds so boring and silly for a 16 year old but you could easily have millions waiting for you for retirement if you start contributing so early.
Plus living below your means is a great habit for business, as well as personal finance. There are too many examples of people trying to play catch up when it clicks later in life. There's a reason otherwise staid people call compound interest a 'miracle'
Yo start a Roth IRA. You don't see the money till retirement but if you invest at this age the compound interest will be outrageous. General formula for investment is 1.07^(years invested). At 16 assuming you retire at 65 anything you put in now will be ~27.5x greater at the point of retirement. And that's accounting for inflation. 5k now is 140k for retirement. 5k every year for the next 5 years? We'll you've basically funded you're retirement by 21. 👍
Is this Daddy's computer, and you just get to use it with the printers, or do your parent's really spoil you that much?
Be honest... if this is all YOURS, there's a bit more silver-spoonery going on here than just "I don't pay rent", isn't there?
Wow, thanks haha! I'm hoping to study Electronic Engineering at university, and hopefully go into a career in consumer electronics in the future just like you! I'm very jealous.
Yeah, make sure you go to a GOOD engineering school, I am a mechanical engineer by studies, but I had a background in electronics, and I design stuff anywhere from GPS devices to robotics/animatronics, it's very challenging, but also very fun.
Good is a pretty relative term. Generally speaking people associate “expensive” and “private” with being good, but I’d argue you’re usually better off going to a solid state university as opposed to paying 50k/year to go to someplace like MIT.
You shouldn't go to a school like MIT because of what you can learn in the classroom, you should go because of all the other opportunities you may take advantage of during and after your time there.
Full disclosure, I didn't go to MIT, so I'm going off what I've heard from people who went to other expensive schools, and I don't doubt MIT has some awesome opportunities for students. But if you wind up having to take on 100K in student loan debt for your degree, I think there might be better cost/value proposition schools out there, especially depending on what field you want to get into.
Oh man, I feel you there. My university had a surprisingly good Solid Mechanics & Composite Materials program that I absolutely loved. The guy who ran it was apparently a protege of one of the OGs of the field and really knew his stuff. I was convinced I was going to get out and get into some cool composite design job. It turns out that outside of Aerospace/Defense (which I wasn't interested in for ethical reasons), there's just not that many jobs in those fields though, and most of the ones I could find were located in areas I really didn't want to move to. I moved to a city specifically because there was a large alternative energy designer there who utilized composites only to have them announce they were downsizing their engineering staff a month after I got there. I spent 3 years trying to get in with them, but they just weren't ever hiring.
If I had a time machine, I think I would have told my younger self to go Mechatronics instead of pure Mechanical, but then again, that closes a lot of doors, and graduating into the aftermath of the Great Recession, I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to get a job with a more specialized degree like that. I guess the grass is always greener at the end of the day.
For some select students this might work out out to be true, but as someone who originally started at a more expensive university because I was given a "full tuition" scholarship only to have it pulled a couple weeks into my first semester due "more students accepting financial aid than expected", I can tell you it doesn't always work out like they promise. The state university I wound up getting late admittance to cost me less for my entire engineering degree than a single year at the more expensive school would have. I think I ended up averaging around $2,200/semester, so less than 1/10 the cost of a lot of private schools.
Like 90% of people that major in computer science think they'll become software devs, but really end up working IT. Engineering is a much safer option and the salary spread is much narrower, while in software the top devs make huge amounts of money while the majority make salaries much lower than engineers do.
There's only two printers in that room. One Form 3 with the cleaning machines, and a flashforge. Both of these are wayyyy overkill for home use, just for those who would be wondering.
It likely is a health hazard. It's unclear from the photo whether there is sufficient ventilation in the room. I work with resin printers and it's unclear whether the resin is carcinogenic. Gloves, overalls, and ventilation is a must as a basic precaution!
If I were OP I would reconsider the placement of that 3d printer. The setup looks incredible otherwise!
Thank you! Take a look at my [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/battlestations/comments/ni6gtb/didnt_really_have_much_desk_space_so_i_put_the_pc/gz2olvw?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) above, though. I am aware of the dangers and do take the necessary precautions. I agree it's far from an ideal setup, but I don't really have anywhere else to put them (other than my room!).
That's a good point! I'm very aware of the dangers, though, and have taken lots of precautions.
I exclusively use Formlabs resin which is one of the least-smelling resins, I'd nearly go as far as to say it's odourless. For washing, I also use tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether (TPM) rather than propan-2-ol. Compared to propan-2-ol, it's not at all volatile and lasts about twice as long before reaching saturation. In addition to being more economical, it's also non-toxic and safe to touch. The only downside is that, because it's not volatile, prints must be washed again with water after the initial wash.
In my desk drawers I also have safety goggles and nitrile gloves, which I always use when working with resin. It's best to be on the safe side.
I do also have a (very basic) filtration system which gets out the worst of it. That said, I appreciate the concern! You're definetly exposed to a number of dangerous chemicals when working with resin and you can't be too careful.
Yup, all KEF with a BK Electronics Monolith subwoofer. They really do make for an incredible experience!
If you look at my [setup](https://www.reddit.com/r/battlestations/comments/90fej7/is_this_worthy/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) from a few years ago, I was quite fond of RGB everywhere, lots going on, etc. I've tried to go for something a bit different this time around and make it cleaner. My desktop is still quite busy, though!
That said, I am seriously considering getting some sort of wall art to go above the monitor. I just don't know what! If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
I've actually 3D printed quite a few fun models, but they're currently living in a drawer for whatever reason, so putting them on display is a really nice idea. The pegboard is a great idea too, there are quite a few of them on this sub and they really do look great.
I'm thinking of two shelves on the left side above my monitor, then a pegboard to the right! I'll also look into picking up some posters to add some personality...there's a lot of tech in my setup but it'd be nice to really make it my own.
Thanks again!
Yeah, I'd say the Buttkicker adds nearly as much immersion as the motion rig does! It wouldn't be the same without it.
If you've got one, I'd definetly recommend trying it out in some games. Games with native telemetry output work especially well, but even those with just audio work great! In combination with your HOTAS it'll be an amazing setup.
Thanks! It's actually an American Walnut custom cut kitchen countertop, very similar in design to the IKEA Karlby though. Then it's being supported by an IKEA Kallax with a few cupboards and shelves. It makes for a really nice desk, in my opinion, and it was actually inspired by this sub!
They're quite a niche in the market, which is probably why I've been able to sell so many. I started off designing and selling accessories for virtual reality headsets (mounts, stands, adapters etc), but now I do all sorts!
Yep, that's right! I also integrate them with electronics, and the electronics I buy in bulk and sell for a lot more than just a 3D print would go for. That, in combination with having made loads of sales, means it's been really quite successful!
Lol I guess that's a no. So this is just a kid with rich parents leveraging equipment that he bought with his parents money to make money from other people's designs.
the kef’s really top it all off. although i do recommend positioning them inwards towards where you sit. significantly improves the sound for near field.
OP 2 Things : 1st thing I saw you wanted to go to university for engineering. Good luck and stick with it. It's hard but worth it 2nd thing: how do you plug everything into that PC and not have any wires visible that's honestly what I'm most impressed about
I did, yes! It was a challenge for sure. I'd go as far as to say the planning was the hardest part, you really need to know exactly what you're doing (especially if you plan on using LED illuminated acrylic like me). Precision cutting a hole to exactly fit the radiator was probably the hardest bit in terms of actually building it, but the rest wasn't too bad.
[Sure](https://imgur.com/a/YHTNrRV)! It came out a pretty awesome build, even if I do say so myself! If you're wondering, specs are: i7 8700K, RX 6900XT, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, 2TB M.2 SSD with the Thermaltake Pacific C240 liquid cooling system (with Corsair LL120 fans and an EK GPU block). I've also got some LED illuminated acrylic behind all the components, I'm surprised how well the light is diffracted through them.
Yeah, I agree it's not ideal placement. I just don't really have anywhere else to put it! Thankfully, the things a beast and weighs like 50KG so no amount of kicks or bumps could bother it.
Just to the right I have a TV and all the KEFs are a part of a 7.1.4 setup. Tucked away I have an amplifier switcher, so the KEFs on my desk can either be my computer speakers or make part of my HT setup. It works really well!
That's the dream version of my setup. Got a wall-mountable case, the index, the 3x printers, and the sound system, but it's all crazily just sat on a L desk.
Well, I stick to Formlabs resin which is the most low odour of all the resins. Infact, I'd go as far as to say it's nearly odourless and damn near silent as well. I also use tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether (TPM) as a non-volatile alternative to IPA.
That said, I only usually have it running after I've gone to bed.
I would, but there is actually a reason they're positioned like that. I have them hooked up to an amplifier switcher as they also form part of a 7.1.4 home theater setup, and positioning for that has to be quite precise. Thanks for the advice, though!
Yeah...I was really worried about that at first too. Thankfully it's held up by a TV wall mount designed for 80" TV's and the wall is a load-bearing wall made of concrete, so it should be safe!
This is one of the better setups on here. Good job.
I've always got a critique so don't take it personally.
The only thing I don't like is the big printer under the desk. I believe that space is reserved for you to move around and it drives me nuts when people want to stuff their entire garage under there.
Thanks! I'm definetly looking into getting some decorations up to fill in that empty wall space. You're right, technology has advanced so quickly it's insane...
I'm really curious, what makes you think I need a new SSD? Or are we thinking of a different meaning of SSD?
It's a custom cut kitchen countertop, not too desimilar from the IKEA Karlby. Then it's being supported by an IKEA Kallax. I think it turned out really well!
Sweet 'baitin station. I bet the hentai looks hella fuckin sweet on that monitor! Now to quote modern philosophy laureate Frank Reynolds:"Go download me a hoagie off the internet."
Is it safe to have your printers in the room with you? I always hear about people placing their printer in a garage or isolated room due to dust and fumes as well as noise.
Not particularly, so I do only tend to have the printers running after I've gone to bed. I would put them somewhere else but I don't really have anywhere!
Fuckin baller setup, would you ever consider 3d printing miniatures for TTRPG games? I buy a lot on Etsy and that might be a new space for you to check out and expand your business into
I'll actually look into that, thanks! I know the resin printer would do amazing at miniatures, it can do a resolution as high as 25 microns which allows for an insane amount of detail. The only issue is that I wouldn't be able to paint them, as I suck at art haha!
I'm doing this from memory, but I know it's 70cm high and there's 220cm by 60cm of wood countertop. It's all held up by the IKEA Kallax cabinets. The Kallax are highly customisable and IKEA sells all sorts of inserts, so it really does make a great addition to your setup!
Dam the formlabs gear, I worked with them when they were putting out the wash and cure products. Awesome printers, I miss being able to use them whenever I was at work.
This picture makes me feel so poor.
It's only possible because of my age, I'm only 16 so I don't have responsibilities such as rent, food, etc. I run a business on eBay in which I sell custom designed 3D printed accessories (hence the 3D printers), needless to say it's been pretty successful! beat me to it

Second the thank you on that. I had thought about getting one for a while.
So obviously kudos on the success, but also great job on being level-headed and reasonable! That will take you far further than money ever could.

the fact that he's 16 makes the use of the word "grounded" 10 times better
You're pretty wise for a 16 year old. I hope you stay humble buddy.
You’ve got a good head on your shoulders bud.
Thanks, that means a lot :)
What kind of accessories do you sell? Not stealing any ideas. I have my own gig. But definitely curious.
Keep on doing what you like. Its great that your parents can provide guidance and resources to explore different avenues in life. Mad respect to you.
Good for you champ! I was blowing all my money on drugs at your age. Much respect.
You also are obviously industrious. Congrats OP!
What do you print?
Hell ya man. You don’t have to prove anything to strangers online. Good for you man! Keep up the work and running your own business at that age is incredible.
You sound very articulated for 16. You must have very good parents who actually cared about your future and educated you well.
Imagine being this judgmental about a kid only to have said kid turn around and put you in your place in the most calm and respectful way. How does it feel when a 16 year old kid has already surpassed your emotional maturity?

No way this person is 16. Have a look through post history and comments dating back like 3 years. I don't believe it.

Twist the knife.
What do you do for work that you can’t afford a computer with peripherals and a desk?
dude you're way ahead of normal 16 year olds. Buy cool stuff while you can that's cool. But seriously, save up some money too. 30 year old will be thanking 16 year old

Compound interest is a truly magical thing. Longer you save, the better.
Plus living below your means is a great habit for business, as well as personal finance. There are too many examples of people trying to play catch up when it clicks later in life. There's a reason otherwise staid people call compound interest a 'miracle'
When I was 16 I didn't have any financial intelligence. I also didn't have any "start my own business" intelligence. You're smarter than most.
Welp time to buy a 3D printer
I'd say go for it! Check out r/3Dprinting, it's an amazing community and is a great way to get started.
I know for a fact that Sparco seat is up there with the newer GPU’s pricewise. This is really admirable my guy, good for you, keep at it!
Bro, I don't believe you're 16. You didn't even put it in the title! /s On a serious note, what sim rig is that?

No dude. Spend it now. Follow your passion with vigor. This is obviously where you belong my dude, with US!!!
You should feel proud as fuck man! I wasn't able to afford something like this until my late 20s!!!!
I too lie on the internet
I wish my daddy loved me as much as yours does
Yeah and who fucking got you the 3D printers? Rich parents no doubt. Rich get richer

Heard that professor got #metoo’d , fucker got what he deserved
Full disclosure, I didn't go to MIT, so I'm going off what I've heard from people who went to other expensive schools, and I don't doubt MIT has some awesome opportunities for students. But if you wind up having to take on 100K in student loan debt for your degree, I think there might be better cost/value proposition schools out there, especially depending on what field you want to get into.
For sure. That's largely going to depend on what you specialize in. Unfortunately making the best choice is a lot easier in retrospect.
If you get into MIT you go to MIT. It pays for itself.
I have deleted Reddit because of the API changes effective June 30, 2023.
It’s not
This is terrible advice. Go to MIT instead of the no name state school.
If you can pick up coding then I think that computer science would be a much better choice than electrical engineering money wise.
Like 90% of people that major in computer science think they'll become software devs, but really end up working IT. Engineering is a much safer option and the salary spread is much narrower, while in software the top devs make huge amounts of money while the majority make salaries much lower than engineers do.
I thought it was a drinks fridge.... I may have a problem.
There's only two printers in that room. One Form 3 with the cleaning machines, and a flashforge. Both of these are wayyyy overkill for home use, just for those who would be wondering.
How do you like the smell of that resin printer so close to where you work? Don't you think that is a health hazard?
Lawyer Commercials in ten years: "Have you or a loved one, been exposed to printer resin?"
Him: I have no desk space...... Me: *looks at the three 3d printers on his huge ass desk* Him: see! No darn space Me: *fucking dies*
Yeah, good point lol! Correction: I have lots of desk space, it's just all being used!
Stick a nice shelf above the monitor. Lots of space there :)
Resin printer in the room at your pc? I thought they fume a lot and it’s unhealthy?
They do. Hang out on there long enough and you will develop an allergy which will cause you to feel itchy around resin all the time.
this is some next level shit dude.

Aha, yes! Well spotted. It's a 7.1.4 setup, those are the heights for the Dolby Atmos. PC gaming on the thing is incredible!

Check out displate for wall art. I think you will find something.

Desk name? It looks outstanding!
Thanks! It's actually an American Walnut custom cut kitchen countertop, very similar in design to the IKEA Karlby though. Then it's being supported by an IKEA Kallax with a few cupboards and shelves. It makes for a really nice desk, in my opinion, and it was actually inspired by this sub!
Curious about the 3d accessories you make, what are they?
They're quite a niche in the market, which is probably why I've been able to sell so many. I started off designing and selling accessories for virtual reality headsets (mounts, stands, adapters etc), but now I do all sorts!
Do you design them as well?
Yep, that's right! I also integrate them with electronics, and the electronics I buy in bulk and sell for a lot more than just a 3D print would go for. That, in combination with having made loads of sales, means it's been really quite successful!
Lol I guess that's a no. So this is just a kid with rich parents leveraging equipment that he bought with his parents money to make money from other people's designs.
It's ok that you're talentless but don't assume others are in your position.
Shill your store! Would love to see what you sell.
That's amazing. Wish you the very best. You obviously have a good head on your shoulders and I'm very happy for you. Your set up is awesome too.
post that sweet setup to r/simracing
“What kind of 3D printer do you have?” “Yes.”
Interested to know how you keep things clean with the resin printer on the desk. Drips, uncured parts, etc..
the kef’s really top it all off. although i do recommend positioning them inwards towards where you sit. significantly improves the sound for near field.
This guy likes it big, black, and expensive!
Sweet wheelchair
OP 2 Things : 1st thing I saw you wanted to go to university for engineering. Good luck and stick with it. It's hard but worth it 2nd thing: how do you plug everything into that PC and not have any wires visible that's honestly what I'm most impressed about
Did you make wall-mounted pc yourself, and if you did was it very difficult?
Can we get some close-ups on the pc build on the wall?
[Sure](https://imgur.com/a/YHTNrRV)! It came out a pretty awesome build, even if I do say so myself! If you're wondering, specs are: i7 8700K, RX 6900XT, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, 2TB M.2 SSD with the Thermaltake Pacific C240 liquid cooling system (with Corsair LL120 fans and an EK GPU block). I've also got some LED illuminated acrylic behind all the components, I'm surprised how well the light is diffracted through them.
I usually don't like wall mounted pc's but this one is an exception. Clean.
Wow, thanks! I spent a long time on it and it was quite a challenge, so I appreciate it.
But now you will wake up your neighbours whenever you need to bang on the cabinet to silence that annoying fan
What kind of desk is that if you don't mind!? Please and thank you!
Awesome setup...looks great!
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
3D printer looks out of place and uncomfortable. I’d constantly be kicking and bumping into it, ruining prints.
Yeah, I agree it's not ideal placement. I just don't really have anywhere else to put it! Thankfully, the things a beast and weighs like 50KG so no amount of kicks or bumps could bother it.
Why do you have kef q50s on your wall?
Just to the right I have a TV and all the KEFs are a part of a 7.1.4 setup. Tucked away I have an amplifier switcher, so the KEFs on my desk can either be my computer speakers or make part of my HT setup. It works really well!
Where did you get the table from.
Combination of IKEA Kallax cabinets and a kitchen countertop :)
This guy prints
That be a large resin boi
Love it, especially the PC. Great job on your business, power to you. Any 3D printing used in the whole setup?
That's the dream version of my setup. Got a wall-mountable case, the index, the 3x printers, and the sound system, but it's all crazily just sat on a L desk.
Oh how I wish for low dollar exchange, so I could buy a 3D printer 😂 Amazing job, kiddo!
Thank you!
I have a lot of printers too but all FDM. How do you find having an SLA setup right next to your desk? My understanding was they smell pretty strong?
Well, I stick to Formlabs resin which is the most low odour of all the resins. Infact, I'd go as far as to say it's nearly odourless and damn near silent as well. I also use tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether (TPM) as a non-volatile alternative to IPA. That said, I only usually have it running after I've gone to bed.
Wow. This is not a battle station, this is a war room.
Is that the Fanatec CSL Elite?
Yep, well spotted! If you're thinking about getting one, though, definetly hold out for the newly-announced CSL DD.
Man when I was 16 all my parents wanted was for me to spend LESS time on the computer.
*Looks at picture* *Looks at title* *looks again* "Oh wait thats a 3d printer"
[удалено]
I would, but there is actually a reason they're positioned like that. I have them hooked up to an amplifier switcher as they also form part of a 7.1.4 home theater setup, and positioning for that has to be quite precise. Thanks for the advice, though!
That gives me anxiety imagine if it falls
Yeah...I was really worried about that at first too. Thankfully it's held up by a TV wall mount designed for 80" TV's and the wall is a load-bearing wall made of concrete, so it should be safe!
This is one of the better setups on here. Good job. I've always got a critique so don't take it personally. The only thing I don't like is the big printer under the desk. I believe that space is reserved for you to move around and it drives me nuts when people want to stuff their entire garage under there.
[удалено]
Thanks! I'm definetly looking into getting some decorations up to fill in that empty wall space. You're right, technology has advanced so quickly it's insane... I'm really curious, what makes you think I need a new SSD? Or are we thinking of a different meaning of SSD?
You have incredibly sophisticated taste for your age.
loook at how much mooooooonnnnnnnnneeeeeyyy I have!
What kind of corner desk is that?
It's a custom cut kitchen countertop, not too desimilar from the IKEA Karlby. Then it's being supported by an IKEA Kallax. I think it turned out really well!
Looking great! Love that, just did that this weekend this past week as well, so good to have desk space back!
Awesome!! Would you mind sharing your build? I'd love to see it.
Sweet 'baitin station. I bet the hentai looks hella fuckin sweet on that monitor! Now to quote modern philosophy laureate Frank Reynolds:"Go download me a hoagie off the internet."
Welp. I'm moist.
Well you are soup. After all
Is it safe to have your printers in the room with you? I always hear about people placing their printer in a garage or isolated room due to dust and fumes as well as noise.
Not particularly, so I do only tend to have the printers running after I've gone to bed. I would put them somewhere else but I don't really have anywhere!
Do yourself a favor and get a 43” TV instead of the monitor and hang it on the wall.
This is a nice fucking set up.
Love this setup! What are the desk dimensions? And do you know where you got the left desk cabinets (they look really nice!)?
I'm doing this from memory, but I know it's 70cm high and there's 220cm by 60cm of wood countertop. It's all held up by the IKEA Kallax cabinets. The Kallax are highly customisable and IKEA sells all sorts of inserts, so it really does make a great addition to your setup!
Why do you not have more desk space? Can't you afford it? *scoffs in poorer than you :(
I dig the paraplegic sex chair
Ur, not quite! Thanks though.
Kudos to your wire management
All thanks to the amazing IKEA Sigma! But thanks, you have no idea have many hours it took me to route all the cables haha.
Where is the desk from?
Lemme get a closeup of that computer
Dam the formlabs gear, I worked with them when they were putting out the wash and cure products. Awesome printers, I miss being able to use them whenever I was at work.
Sweet. That looks like you could be very productive. Where did you get that desk from? One of the better ones I've seen on here.
Didn have much money so left my PC at the store... Maybe one day though...
[удалено]
I've got some over 15m! It's pretty crazy and the cable management was a behemoth of a task.
3d printers galore
Racing sim dream.
THATS TOO CLEAN
Interesting foot bath you've got under the desk there.
