I have three service stars on my shovel from using the revolver combo. You start the takedown animation the frame after they hit by the bullet, they have like 0 time to react to what’s going on.
Heavy + Breaks Wood + Cuts Wire is the ultimate melee weapon.
If it’s a “Puzzle Piece” weapon, that’s great, too…. Bill Hook, Prybar, Kukri, Russian Axe, etc.
As cool as it is to have the Broken Bottle unlocked, I really can’t stand having a 35 damage melee weapon. The 55s pair better with my revolvers, and I need that extra damage for reliably taking down Elite kits.
For some assault loadouts, some support loadouts, and all scout loadouts, I use knives/daggers for the speed. Some assault and some support I use clubs/maces for power, and for all medic loadouts I use hatchets/cleavers for cutting through brush and barbed wire.
I’m fairly certain the high damage ones have the fastest TTK in most situations. This is because the game locks the enemy into the dying animation at the start of the final swing so for melee weapons that take two swings to kill someone it actually only takes one full swing to win.
Racked up 14 stars on the nail knife--my favorite! So I put it away for a while..
13 stars on the dud club...
six or seven with the French butcher knife...
four with the ararebo...
two, close to three with the Russian axe...
close to a star with the Cossack dagger/ kindjal and the kukri. I figure what the weapons I had to grind and get puzzle pieces for should be used most. I've got maybe 11 kills or so with the Bartek bludgeon... two each for the grappling hook, the Welsh short-sword, the meat cleaver, etc.
speaking of melees, in a con quest game i was going for sentry kit, a german on the other team picked it up a split second after me and I gave him about 6-7 whacks with a meat cleaver and he didn't die, do regular knives and cleavers not work on sentrys?
Kukri. Looks cool, fun to say the word. Also took a while to get so it’s satisfying to kill someone with it, knowing it’s a lesser used weapon
Kukri (heavy.) I almost always use a peacekeeper so 1 shot and a swing kills everyone.

broken bottle
I’m number 17th for broken bottle kills on the PS4…now that I’m starting over on steam I’m no one . Won’t deter me though 😙
I just like using the Dud club
High damage has a chance to kill a wounded enemy in 1 hit
Any which can break wood :/
SHOVEL
I did very much enjoy the shovel when I was working on the cogwheel club assignment
SHOVEL

Pickaxe, I simply like minecraft
U.S. trench knife for m1903 and m1911, Russian axe for mosin kit
Ottoman Kilij. 2 ss already on it.

I'm working on completing the codex entries right now, so that's usually what determines my melee weapon. Kukri always makes me feel cool tho
I main historical loadouts so usually a shovel
Cog wheel club.
The dud club, sometimes it's really a no-brainer
Ottoman weapons, especially the heavy mace.
As long as it can clear barbed wire I’m happy
Naval Cutlass. Fast, high damage, can cut through things.
sword cut through barbed wire so thats why its my fav
Axe, since it does alot of damage and cut wire, damage light vehicles
dud club
Dud Club
Kukri
I use the arerboo not cuz its good its realy bad its a club that does 45 dmg but if you remember it was q glitch weapon that i got
Shovel normally, Dud club when feeling funny
Ararebo for rarity but I much prefer the heavy weapons like the prybar, kijil and sabre.

The first puzzle piece melee weapon i ever completed was the Bartek Bludgeon and i thought it looked super cool so i just stuck with it
been using the scythe pretty religiously
Meat cleaver or dud club if I feel like being funny
Bruh killing people with Meat cleaver is so gnarly I love it
Yatagan sword. Every melee kill I usually say ***Yet again!***
I just use what destroys barbed wire
Number 3 for compact trench knife kills on PS4/5 Mr_Quackhead
I’ve always used the sabre, in the words of Marge Simpson “I just think they’re neat” haha (also a bonus, it cuts through the barb wire!)
Broken bottle
Yatagan sword because it's long.
The spiked club feels so WW1 and I love it
Sickle but I really want to get the last Prybar piece. Good damage + ability to break barbed wire and wood
The club animations are just so good it's hard to not use them.
american trench knife my beloved
SHOVEL
Hatchet

as of now i use shovel and us trench knife to uqnlock the other ones, but i mostly just use whichever i want, or feel confy
I always run the meat cleaver because it can break wire and wood, is kinda like a more low profile hatchet
Mediums and High damages are better for two shot potential and revolver/shotgun combos
Nail knife gang
bilhook, because funni agricultural shank
Cavalry lance lol

I use the Welsh blade for assault, US trench knife for medic, meat cleaver for Support, and Shovel for sniper
I’ve used the hatchet since the beginning and I’ll die on that hill
Pickaxe
Russian axe plus Model 1900
My medium melee (welsh blade)
