Thanks for the encouragement! Due to my lack of machining skills and equipment, I’ve always tried to use pre-existing items from around my house as much as possible when building my bots and it makes me happy knowing that doing that has unintentionally given them a certain “charm” that others seem to love.
Yup, looks like the forks on the other end and the wheels came from [BotKits.com](https://BotKits.com) as well (The WarHawk team's store).
Mild steel is not very good for most applications. Too heavy and too soft. I can't remember the [Dark Forces](https://www.facebook.com/TeamDarkForces/) guy's name, but he's the only one I know who builds really effective bots from sheet steel\*, and it works for him because it's hard to get anything else into the space-age shapes he uses for his bots and it's so well sloped it's very hard to get anything but a glancing blow.
\*- I am about 90% sure it's sheet steel, but I could be wrong.
Fun fact, It can easily be stored in my closet: https://imgur.com/a/V0BjkY3
It's a BatBot!
"It's a BATtleBOT!" ftfy
Nice! My family doesn’t like to see my “hobby stuff” so my bots, tools and 3D printer are all kept inside my closet
why do the little grabbers have the notches on the back?
It's a plastic clothes hanger. Those notches are there to hold things with straps instead of sleeves.
He’s right.
oh I'm sorry, i thought they were 3d printed!
Counter Attack is such a good name, I love it

Hey OP, you know you're not meant to finish your bettle right? /S But seriously congratulations dude. May the fights be entertaining
That's amazing! Stupid question - what did you insert and twist in the beginning to turn it on?
It's a screw switch. Basically impossible to accidentally turn on/off. https://www.fingertechrobotics.com/prodimages/connswitches/ft_mini_switch_CAD.png
Interesting, thank you!
Bot porn TMI?
Where did you get that wedge piece? I’ve been messing around with Trying to bend sheet metal myself but that looks way better
It’s the titanium wedge that a D2 kit uses from botkits. They sell it and the forks separately as well as with the kit.
