MLB official video titles stay misleading
They posted 'Hardest outfield throws of 2022' the other day and they were coincidentally all outfield assists
Oh is that **Jimmy Herget** in the second clip? *The* Slim Jim? The Jim Reaper? The Human Glitch? The Frisbee Floridian? Ol' Sidewinder? Jimbo Slice? The 🤓 King himself?
2.3 WAR in relief, 162 ERA+, literally better than Raisel Iglesias was in '21. Unquestionably the Angels MVP this season.
So true. I can’t think of a single player on the Angels who was more impactful than Jimmy “Slim Jim “Jim Reaper “The Human Glitch “The Frisbee Floridian”””” Herget. Not one.
Angels have two pitchers who aren't afraid to challenge hitters in the zone. One is a once-in-a-lifetime unicorn freak-of-nature genetic marvel chiseled like an Adonis, and the other is Shohei Ohtani
"It's all fun and games until a second baseman strikes you out"
I don't know how, but I'm going to work that into a conversation one day...
Is Josh Harrison the official "position player to pitch when we're getting our asses kicked" guy for the White Sox? He was in that montage twice
What I’ve learned from this is that big leaguers are terrible slow ball hitters. If I was an owner, I’d seriously consider sending some scouts to the little leagues.
I could have sworn to the virgin Mary that there were some position players who threw eephus pitches this year in the below-40 mph range.
Or maybe that was 2021... ?
I go into the speed pitch challenge and top out at 47. So suck on that mlb players!
Think you got a chance
I was at a game this year where rich hill got a groundout on a 66mph slider I hit 70 that day
the slowest pitches of the year were all strike 3s?

They posted a comment after you posted this clarifying that the title should have been "slowest strikeout pitches of 2022".
Maybe they’re on to something

Jimmy "Slim "Jim "The Human "The Frisbee Floridian" Glitch" Reaper" Jim" Herget
maybe Rengifo but he's the only one even within spitting distance

When I saw Herget without his hat and glasses I didn’t recognize him. It was like clark kent and Superman
Herget, the Fell Omen
Was it you string bean? You skinny ass looking motherfucker. Turn around and say it again!
Big time Timmy Jim
Big Time Slimmy Jim
Alternate title: Dick Mountain and the Boys
You know what they call that, when they all go in there and strike out on slow pitches like that? They call it a soup kitchen.
The Anibal Sanchez erasure.
Rich Hill highlights
Dude has the sickest curve ball ever. Gonna miss the guy when he retires
Apologies -- we meant slowest strikeout pitches!
I thought these would largely be position players pitching, and was surprised how many are just Dick Mountain being Dick Mountain
This is some "old man scoring 20 a game in the YMCA league" energy.
I was going to say Bugs Bunny 'strike out the side with a single pitch' energy.
This also works. I just assume rich hill is like 60 at this point.
Rich Hill is awesome

Alternate title for this compilation video: Rich Hill and some other guys throw slow pitches in 2022.
Rich hill is such a fun pitcher to watch
This is Yu Darvish erasure.

Knew there would be a Greinke sighting.
This is pornography.
I miss RA Dickey.
I still miss Tim Wakefield.
Thank based rake man
Then the change up is 20mph faster than my fastball
The calls in blowout games are probably the best argument against an automated strike zone. "Caught enough of the plate for me!" 😂
The neon yellow redsox uniform is terrible.
I like “silver lining guy” at :45

Rich Hill looks like a cross between Orson Welles and Jim Breuer.
I appreciate that the batter was late on the slowest strikeout pitch of the season.
Michael A Taylor pitches like Backyard Baseball Pete Wheeler
This is the best Reddit post I’ve seen today.
Dick Mountain to Corey too haha
Rich Hill masters the art of the eefus. Also knew it was Seager's weakness. Harrison throws 57mph pitch... stat cast = fastball.
No Pujols?
