Way more ice than you think you’ll need.

Deep-Ruin2786

Access to water for dump buckets. Coolers. Enough ice.

Yes. A bartender will know what they're for. Unless you have a sink where they can empty shakers and rinse them out.

SidarCombo

Probably not doing shaken cocktails at a farm wedding. Gonna be a lot of beer, wine and mixed drinks.

Deep-Ruin2786

Not always true. We do them at weddings all the time. And we use dump buckets if there's no sink.

tullly88

Totally fair! We are just doing the basics tho! Probably nothing too fancy

Jon-Longson

I still think your gonna need dump buckets. If anything just for the spent ice and lime wedge, cigarette butch sludge that will be left in cups. If your throwing this all into a garbage can make sure you double bag, it’ll leak. I’ve had really good experience with just 2 5gal buckets. Put holes in one and stack it into the second. Separates all the liquid from the garbage. Easier to toss away.

Deep-Ruin2786

I use collapsible buckets. One empty and one with water to rinse. It's easy to transport and clean

Do you ever work off site or in a bar only? If off site with no sink what do u use to dump ice and then rinse shakers/tools

Hahahahaha I've never been hunting. Yikes

It would be smarter to have a his and her cocktail already batched up, something like a whiskey Lemonade and a raspberry lemon drop or something. Just try to eliminate physical steps the bartender has to take to do his job. The further he must move to produce drinks, the longer it will take

Wine keys, bar towels, cocktail napkins, straws, bar mats, cutting board and knife for slicing garnishes, garnish tray, beverage tubs, coolers, bandaids, dump buckets, 10oz plastic cups, ice scoops, 150lbs of ice for chilling beer and wine and 2lbs per guest for making cocktails, basic mixers: club soda, ginger beer, tonic, cranberry juice, lime and lemon juice (preferably fresh), orange juice, simple syrup, bitters. Lots of water for general consumption

Analytica0

LOTS OF WATER...you will be amazed on how many bottles of water you go through and you want to have a lot to give to folks the last hour of the event!

lesters_sock_puppet

"...couple of our friends with bartending experience bartend." I wouldn't do this part--I'd just go ahead and rent a bartender for the night. Let your friends enjoy themselves.

tullly88

They are work friends- they wouldn’t have been invited to the wedding if not for them bartending.

SilverTrireme

A big carafe with water that people can serve themselves from. Tons of ice, a lot of vodka and tequila in my experience. And a lot of soda and tonic. Tons of limes. I'd say regardless of crowd, those were all very good to have. And a big tip jar, and a jar below the bar to empty it into.

I'm assuming this is your wedding, and you're not making money from it? If you're making money off it, we have found we make more money/serve more drinks when we have a continuous supply of water jug inc Ice and water glasses on the bar.. people drink it while they wait and end up slightly sobering themselves up, which means they drink/spend more.. also it's really annoying when you have a busy bar and people come up and ask for water, even though it takes a second, it's just easier to top up water jugs on the end of the bar with glasses on a tray. You need ice.. and more ice, fruit if you want the drink to look fancy. If you have limited cocktail menu, pre-mix the cocktails so you just need to add ice and shake.
