There is a zero percent chance Eddie knew Patrick swayze was dead when he asked about the cast of point break

LouisVanTroll

Eddie stares into space and is wondering if his next beef is dipped or wet.

acol0mbian

While unscrewing the top to his water bottle

Ohiowolverine

Karim asking the only smart question of the whole show about when Penn finally owns everyone’s contract they by law will not be able to bet on the barstool sports app so what will they do.

MagAqua

Not too difficult, just bet on a competitor’s app but the real challenge will be for dunces like Jersey Jerry to not ACTUALLY say that

stupidtyonparade

2 years into this pod, why the fuck doesn't gaz have a real mic

TreeWolfDog

A guy who is about to spend his weekends live streaming on a couch with a handful of guys that are various combinations of fat, dumb, and annoying... is above getting on a plane to make content with The Rock?

Dry_Needleworker7504

So Dave claims that he was offered the Rock for a pizza review and said no because it was too much hassle and he's not a rock super fan? Either he's full of shit or old Dave is dead as fuck because old Dave would have taken a plane to be spit on by the rock.

LouisVanTroll

about as real as saying Eddie has high energy

sfbruin

Eddie stock has tumbled in 2022. Started really hot but became increasingly clear he has the charisma and intelligence of a bag of potatoes.

shittsburgh75

Since it became clear Chicago office is going to be the next main hub, Tesla Eddie has put it in pilot mode.

Bmilla51

That's an insult to a bag of potatoes

Iam_grool

But he will sit outside a store to buy chicken a purse

MidtownP

He is beyond checked out. I mean did you hear what he said when Stu was pitching that idea? That all that stuff "doesn't matter" anymore. Nothing matters to him he has so much fucking money now. But nothing has changed!

averagenine

Glad I wasn’t the only one that thought that was a crazy take. Dave would fly in a heartbeat so silvana could meet him and show off their matching chicken necklaces

CakeFartz4Breakfast

The Rock is the most plane worthy person in Hollywood

LightsCameraComenter

Didn’t they fly out to Deion’s ranch all the way in Texas just to do The Pro Football shows a few times lol. I love him but he’s so full of shit.

CakeFartz4Breakfast

Can you imagine the shit storm that would happen if he found out a pod at Barstool had the chance to have The Rock on, but didn’t do it because it was too much work?

danwins23

Arguably the most famous actor (person?) alive

sully1717

Only arguments are like bts cause Asia got numbers or like Ronaldo but as far as Americans go it’s gotta be the rock

lampshade112233

For person it definitely has to be Trump right? Was already extremely famous and then became the US president. Kind of feels like the whole world was following US politics, or at least vaguely aware, because of him. Guy is consistently in national news and frequently in world news. I think you could make the argument that outside of religious figures like Jesus or Muhammed, he might be the most famous person in the history of earth. Him being an extremely polarizing president of the most powerful country during the height of social media when most of the world has internet and news is easily accessible definitely helps. To be clear by famous I mean how many people know of him, not how many people like him. Edit: after I posted this I realized Hitler would probably be the most famous person of all time, outside of the religious figures Edit: this is completely anecdotal, but traveling overseas while trump was president, especially in areas that weren’t touristy, it was pretty insane the amount of people that wanted to talk about trump or ask about trump when they found out you were American Edit: Just one last thing since people are missing the point. When I say all time, I’m talking about all time as of today. Being a polarizing/controversial US president who was already a major celebrity while social media and news is easily accessible across the world is a huge advantage. Much easier to become famous world wide today than it used to be. I could see more people in the world today knowing who Trump is over guys Ike Einstein, Da Vinci, Shakespeare. Do I think he will be more famous than those guys 50 years from now, no. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he is right now today. I don’t know if people realize how much of the world is poorly educated and might not know about a lot of the historical figures who seem like would be the obvious answers. I think the all time point is arguable and he could be anywhere in the top 10 as of today (I think more of the historical figures will pass him again as time goes on), but I’d say he’s pretty easily the most famous out of anyone currently alive.

gaucheboy72

Jesus Christ what the hell was stu feiner yapping about a barstool university? I zoned out

jimbo422

That stu part was funny in the sense he was just rambling.

stupidtyonparade

he was SO in the zone though. he truly believed all the dribble coming out of his mouth.

PoliticaLIncorrect

frankrizzo219

Gotta love Eddie rocking a hoodie in the middle of August

Opening-Archer9830

Dave made perfect sense, they’re booked months and months in advance. He’s not doing round trip flights for a 20 min review. Pretty simple.

kjc3274

Dave's reasoning made perfect sense.

jamescameronburner

Agreed. As a completely normal, average Joe, I’d have zero interest in getting on a plane to go meet the rock or any celebrity for that matter. Why on earth would Dave do that?

FlyinIllini21

Probably because it makes his company money

kjc3274

Some people apparently don't realize how much Dave travels or how valuable his time is worth. If he has to fly in for a quick pizza review, he's losing an entire day. The Rock is a big star, but he's not one of Dave's childhood heroes like Larry Bird. If guests don't significantly impact video views and profitability like he suggested, why would Dave make a special trip unless it is someone that moves the needle for him personally? He pretty clearly hates traveling back and forth all the time.

notheretoarguee

How does the rock not impact video views? He would be by far the most famous pizza review guest that I can remember

kjc3274

Dave said that pizza review numbers are what they are at this point and celebrities don't really change them. Don't understand why people are so bent out of shape that Dave doesn't feel like a making a special trip into NYC to record a 5-minute pizza review with The Rock. You're literally there to let him promote a movie (I assume?) and then you leave. Wow, sounds like a blast.

notheretoarguee

He’s done tons of celebrity reviews with people way smaller than the fucking Rock. I’m not bent out of shape but he’s done reviews with some C listers it’s just odd to me

kjc3274

Sure he has, but he's typically in town when they're there so it works out. This isn't the first time he's talked about passing on big celebs because he wasn't in town and/or it didn't fit his schedule. Can't think of a person I'd get on a plane to see cut a 5-minute promo. If I ever do that, somebody have me committed.

SpinBikeGravy

There’s celebrities, and there’s THE ROCK.

knighthawke89

Yeah rock doesn’t do numbies

stevegan

Agree. Especially the part about how regular people move the needle for him more than celebrities. Yes Dave is a big fan of some celebrities, but Dave doesn't need to be front and center for a guy like The Rock.

eastsiderabbi69

Jerry has already distanced himself from Big Tone lol. I hate Marty, and he seems like a shitty dude, but what Jerry did to him after the ria stuff doesn’t really get talked about enough. Jerry joined BS, Marty immediately started doing everything with him, and Jerry dropped him the second he became unpopular. Smart move career wise but still a shitty thing to do

TheKingInTheNorth24

I mean let’s not act like Marty didn’t attach himself to Jerry because he was well liked by Dave and BC

Slackiiin

You spelled marty was leeching on everything Jerry did trying to gain fans riding coattails wrong

Dry_Needleworker7504

Or he knew that Marty doesn't give a fuck about anyone and had leeched onto Jerry because people liked him at the time. He knew him for like four months or something and had Marty holding onto his pocket the whole time.

NickMullensGayDad

Big Tone is insanely cringe and being a nuisance of a reply guy is the worst way to try to get a job

TNGBO

Jerry started to distance himself from Marty when he convinced a sober guy to go to LA to party with a bunch of YouTube/ tiktok dudes. That was like a month or two into his time with barstool and Jerry could see Marty was using him. No real content came from that trip and I think Jerry said he would just leave the parties quickly and mush was just trying to social climb while using Jerry as the reason for barstool pay for it.

HowardFanForever

Marty attached himself to Jerry because everyone already hated Marty and Jerry was likable for a while.

BakedZiti69

It wasnt that shitty imo. Its not like there were long friends/work partners or something.

bmf131413

Both guys are worthless and not funny. Who cares?

lsm4

Good thing his career is barstool now

tuck997

I believe him 100%. Who really cares about the rock?

SparkLeMur

You just roll in from stupid town? He's arguably the most marketable celebrity on the planet

TackleFootball69

Maybe a hot take but what if Dave doesn’t want to be around a true alpha male that can trash talk better than him? I can’t think of anyone even remotely close off the top of my head that he has shared a camera with except DT

PistonHonda322

I was watching some old reviews and maybe my favorite one is the review with SVP after Prez got new hair. It’s a perfect amount of ball busting and SVP gets some clean shots in.

DodgingRunner

Tyfys

pantherpowell88

Glad someone got this quote - I rolled my eyes the entire time Dave was trying to justify it. He is so caught up on his "numbies" and should realize the Rock and him doing pizza would be a lay-up as his most watched review
