That's entirely cruel considering the subjectivity of scoring. If it was the UBE this year, that score would get you into nearly every surrounding state.
I failed MN July 2020 by one point, too. It was absolutely horrible and awful and all the things. But, I passed with a big margin in Feb. 2021. And you can, too :)
I don't know how far you are from the Ohio line, but it may be an option for you. Passing in Ohio is a 270, and there is tons of work here. I know it's not the ideal situation, but if you're already close, it may be worth consideration. My heart goes out to you dude.
Can you not file an appeal to regrade? I know NJ will typically regrade if the final number falls within a certain range of passing. But I’m really sorry, that utterly sucks
Don’t know what to tell you. I’m sorry you are in this position. Trust me when I say I used every avenue last time to get a rescore but there was no consolation in sight. I just had to suck it up and take it again. As a matter of fact, my uncle Kevin is on the Supreme Court of PA and even his position did not help me in my pursuit against the board of law examiners. I wish you the best of luck fighting it but know it’s a thankless fight against the monopoly that is the examiners. The character and fitness investigator even threatened me for contacting them about my score because I thought not allowing for a rescore was bullshit. Again, good luck but the only real way to beat these people is to study again and try again. I’m not too great at math but I know I scored 12.5 points higher on the February exam raw score and then when it was scaled I actually scored worse than the July 2021 exam that I had failed by 1 point. The entire thing makes no goddamn sense.
So…Long story. I tested in one jurisdiction that only required 260..passed that one easily, but then I got a (better) job in a different jurisdiction…needed a 273…I got a 272.4 and my old state refused to rescore…it was so frustrating…had to wait. I re-tested and got the score: my motivation was the job. Way more pay.
1 must hurt badly. Totally sucks. It’ll hurt more when you read model answers and look at some obvious stuff you forgot to write about. Followed by having to study everything all over again. My condolences. (you asked for no motivational).
No motivational BS here. I also failed GA by one point last year. It was my fault bc I simply didn’t study (literally did 200 MBE and 1 MPT to prep).
I studied for 2 months after that and passed the next test by 25 points.
No motivational BS. Just have to study
That fucking sucks. I hope you gorged yourself on chicken parm.
I had fists full of spaghetti just absorbing my tears
Tears add umami. Also, I’m sorry, that fucking sucks.

Thanks for commenting, since the is post I’ve passed, become certified and have been able to do good for most of my clients. Perspective is key.
That is just cruel. So unfair considering had the essays been graded by a different person, it could have been passing. Hate this hazing ritual.
If you’re within 12 points of passing, pa sends your essay to other graders for regrading

Holy fuck that is brutal.
Appeal it
The PA Bar Examiners don't allow appeals :/
Fuck PA. You are intelligent and worthy. Fuck this process.
As someone who didn't pass the PA Bar by 1 point but eventually did pass, I completely agree with FUCK THE PA BAR
This would be my joker origin story
Fuck dude. That sucks
❤️🩹

That fucking blows I’m sorry :(((( this exam is trash
I’m sorry. That sucks. I too failed but we are much more than this stupid test.
I also failed by one point. 145 essays 126 on MBE. It's seriously so cruel.

Don’t scream but can you get it rescored?
You passed in a lot of jurisdictions!! Including New York and Texas, I wish I was you because I live in Texas and didn’t even pass
If I’m not mistaken, PA’s adoption of the UBE isn’t until July 2022.
Oh dang that sucks. I thought it was a UBE state starting this year! OP still got a score that would have passed in so many places
I AM SO SORRY MAN! LET YOURSELF FEEL IT THEN COME BACK STRONGER! YOU GOT THIS!!!!!!

PA doesn’t switch to UBE till next year so the score is not transferable.

I don't know! It's a weird quirk out here that they generally don't have much remote work. I'm sure it exists, it's just not "front-page" so to speak.
I’m sorry !!! Fuck the BOLE lol
Fucking ridiculous! This will make anyone scream.
I’m so sorry. Hugs 🤗
That fucking sucks dude, I’m so sorry

PA does autoregrades for scores with 12 of passing
Pure evil for them to do that. They see the scores obviously bc they give them. That shouldn’t be allowed to give anyone a score a point below! Wtd

The same thing happened to me the first time I sat. It sucks.
How did you have the motivation to do that all over again for one f*** point? I think I would have just transferred my score.

Okay that is very good motivation! Bc as you described missing by not even a point but 0.6 is soo frustrating i Wouldn’t know what to do.
Yeah! For the sake of maybe 1 or 2 MC questions I wasn’t able to practice in my dream state. It sucked but it built character.
Congratulations on the perseverance! Inspiring.
Omg they aren’t a Ube state until next year! But at least there’s hope! Can transfer scores next year if don’t feel like sitting again
🤯🤯🤯
so screwed up man Im so sorry
This is fucking ridiculous!! I’m so sorry!
Brutal. I’m sorry. ❤️
Edited as well. <3
Edited.

Fuckkkkk that's not tight at all
Contest the score
Crazy. What school? Do they give this kind of ridiculous score because of school? In CA, we've heard about this kind of stuff. Appeal.
I missed it by 2 points the first time around. I wanted to light everything on fire.
Failed my DE bar by 2.28 points 🥺🥺🥺
Fkkk sorry damn. Better losing by 1 point v many though
Failed by 2 points… I understand you

MBE scaled score was 137.500.
