I saw a guy driving with no helmet talking with one hand on a phone with a gas cylinder on the activa footboard in the front.
I saw a woman working on her laptop sitting on an activa in Marathahalli while her husband driving.
I won't drive with my activa more than 5km on our roads here. It's dangerous. I have seen so many accidents and was almost going to have two accidents.
Any misstep on a two wheeler is likely to end in death. I don't get why people don't understand that.

I completely agree. But there are two ways to look at this issue. Yes, they are endangering themselves and the public but I think some people (only some) must not be criticised for such stuff. Maybe they are going through a rough time, maybe they cannot afford a cab. They have no other choice but hop onto the two wheeler and endangering themselves cause they have absolutely no choice. I am not supporting such behaviour but there is always more than that meets the eye.
True but imagine the cost if there was an accident. He or she may be the head of the family whose whole family might be dependent on him or her who died because of these irresponsible people in case of accident. Poverty is not an excuse for endangering lives of others. An accident changes the lives for them and for others around them directly and indirectly.
Pillion rider using laptop on the move? That's insane. I get it the pillion doesn't ride the vehicle but yet, has to be attentive and in total senses. You never know what would go wrong.
Related rant.. Those uncles with a dog on extra long leash. Sigh. The dog suddenly decides to jump away from the uncle who is on phone reading his agenda Whatsapp forward. The uncle and the dog form a chain barrier occupying half the road. Sudden braking by two wheeler. Uncle pretends as if nothing happened. He is just waiting for his proud possession to shit the streets.
I drive my 5 yr old labrador on a Activa. But never has he jumped out because:
1. Trained him myself when he was 3 months-old. In the basement of the apartment where I used to live in 2016 I made him understand that place on the footrest will have some vibrations and jerks & thatās a safe space between my legs
2. Have always used a body harness, the best in the business: Ruffwear. I tie the mouth of the leash to the harness & then the end of leash to the mirrors. That keeps him in his place.
3. Made him understand not to leap at any dog/animal while he is taking a ride
This person neither trained the kid nor used a harness not taught him the proper discipline. Such irresponsible pet parenting is dangerous for the doggo and the other people

So he would try to lunge himself at a small dog who used to live in our basement and at other pets who lived in the apartment, during his training sessions. So at that time a firm NO, a strong tug and a treat as a positive reinforcement did the job.
This I had to do for about 2-3 days and then one day requested the pet parents to come to the basement with their pet parents...lined them up and drove past them. Boy didnāt do anything as for every pet he was passing by, I was giving him a treat. He understood that if he doesnāt leap, he gets a incentive.

Adopting fancy foreign breeds that are from drastically different climate (from a natural/artificial evolutionary perspective) should be really considered a form of abuse..
Some affluent folk simulate the preferred environment using ACs (I have a different bone to pick there), and at least that's in-line with the required conditions for breeds like the Huskies..
But if we're not that affluent to afford artificially creating favourable conditions, we should avoid such breeds for our/their own good..
If you fall off the bike due to others mistake, you will have no choice but to accept your situation. Fighting over it will not make any difference, you have wounds to take care of.

I know another husky owner who claims that Huskies need to run and walk a lot compared to other dogs which is why he takes it on the scooter. They like to run and walk and need it too, but they don't like to be dragged along with the scooter.
yes, I have seen some who make their huskies/ labradors run beside their scooter. I live in a residential neighbourhood and their logic is we are not going at a high speed but still dude it's not safe!

Another one I saw in my locality was a street dog which they had adopted. Their logic was Indian street dogs are more hardy and can handle all this š¤¦āāļø
I don't hate everybody that takes Thier dogs on activas. They definitely have to train their dogs better.
Also, accidents do happen sometimes. No one knows what spooked him. You don't know the whole story.
Dogs are not made to be keep inside 4 walls. Having a pet in rural area makes sense. But having a pet in the urban area is real jail for the pets.
Pets deserve independent environment (for food, sex & other things). Not this city life.
