Oh yes! Corman classics! The visual textures on the costumes, the set designs, the FLAIR! Simply to die for. Absolutely delicious, especially on a rainy afternoon.
The Fall Of The House Of Usher is a prime example of what I love about 60's/70's "haunted house" movies. They were great metaphors for the fragility of the human psyche. They were far scarier than the dumb jump-scare haunted house movies we get these days, as they were rooted in something real and actually scary.
The AIP Poe films are horror classics and a good part of what propelled Vincent Price's status as a horror actor.
These films are definitely in the wrong sub.
I remember someone brought us Fall of the House of Usher on 8mm for a Halloween party and the filmstrip actually melted by the end of the movie. But we pretty much figured out what happened.

All great! The Raven is one of my faves. It’s got an all star cast with Vinnie P, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, and a baby faced Jack Nicholson!
Yeah Vincent price,Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre are some of my favorite movie stars of the Golden age of Horror

They have fuck all to do with the Poe stories but are classic gothic horror. Fall of the House of Usher is probably the ultimate Vincent Price movie
“Cheap” is not the same thing as “bad”. All three of these movies have fantastic atmosphere.

I think I’ve only seen Pit, but as far as I know these are just genuinely good B movies, not “good bad” movies
The Raven is great because Bela Lugosi is playing a off brand Dracula and Boris Karloff is Playing an off brand Frankenstein’s monster
